Quick Note To Those Seeking A Reasoned Political Debate

A few people seem to think that most of America, and that means the majority of moderates and independents, think that political parties are getting to extreme and that the "debate" has gotten too heated.  Well the reason for this is that everything, and I mean  everything, is being politicized.

You want a cure for that? You want to dial back the heated rhetoric and return to a calmer time when everything was not so political?

The first step would be to advance a theory where government didn’t have its fingers in every single pie.  If the state left more decisions to local and individual control there would be a lot less to debate, and less heated rhetoric, because it would be none of the political classes damn business.

If this sounds good to you there is a solution close at hand.  Do not vote for democrats.

Democrats, progressives, socialists, pardon the redundancy, all want more government, more state power, and the bureaucratization of everything. That means more things are political, more noise, more rhetoric, (more taxes to pay for it) and more of what most of us do not want; an endless, unavoidable sound like fingernails on a chalk board.

Conservative Republicans and Libertarians want less government involvement, less bureaucracy, and more local control and personal freedom.  That means fewer things are politicized, which means less noise and bother.  You get more peace and quiet, and more of what you really want–to be left alone to decide what is best for you, your family, and your community.

You don’t have to agree with everything the right believes but know this.  They are more interested in your having control over it yourself, whatever it may be.  And when you have control, you and your community can decide what is important.  When the left is in charge, they have to decide for you, whether you want them to or not.  And the only "quiet" you’ll ever get is when you stop objecting to how the left plans to run your life.
