Just Sayin‘… A teenage girl drew upon gun training from her late father to fatally shoot an abusive boyfriend who was strangling her mother earlier this month in North Carolina, a prosecutor said Friday. … He was shot twice and killed by his girlfriend’s 15-year-old daughter after he attacked the woman and threatened to kill … Read more

Another Unemployment Number Hits an Historic Low

Mr. Trump’s economy continues to make history. Black unemployment hit a historic low in May. Hispanic unemployment hit a historic low in June. Now, the Bureau of labor statistics says that Youth summer-unemployment hit a 52-year low in July, 2018.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday that the unemployment rate for 16 to 24 year olds had dropped to 9.2% in July, from 9.6% in July of 2018. That marks the lowest summer youth unemployment rate since 1966.

The Hate-Trump media is leaning heavily on one caveat, but in my opinion, that’s not going to work in their Trump-hating favor.

Manafort Trial: Why Does The Media Want The Names And Addresses of the Jurors?

Paul Manafort was indicted by Bobby Mueller for tax evasion and money laundering. No, not in regard to any relationship with Mr. Trump or his campaign or Russian political collusion. Mr. Manafort was scrutinized under the mandate of the special prosecutor but when Team Mueller couldn’t find anything tied to their purpose they bagged him for something else.

The media has been short-stroking it as proof of something when all it really is is this.

I love It When The Left Proves Me Right

militant-snowflakeThe really good news is that the Fifth Circuit has rejected a constitutional challenge to campus carry in Texas. The State allows concealed permit holders to carry on college campuses which got some professorial panties in a bunch. The law did not let the Profs prohibit concealed firearms in their own classrooms (some administrative areas on campus are still verboten), so they sued claiming “the law and policy violate(s) the First Amendment, Second Amendment, and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”

The Court tossed it out, but what’s that got to do with the left proving me right? Plenty.

“Tolerant” Left Goes After Queer Eye Star Who Says ‘Not All Republicans Are Racist’

It cannot be emphasized enough that liberal governance will be a reflection of its priorities. To bring that point home consider the recent plight of a homosexual Democrat television personality (HDTP) who dared to suggest that the left shouldn’t go too far left.

Van Ness noted that “luckily” more than a few “extreme right people won yesterday,” which he said means “center left candidates” can reclaim control of the House of Representatives and Senate as well as state legislatures.

Racism?

I had to register a vehicle, birth month and all, so I went down to the town hall (because I love standing in lines) to get the vehicle registration renewed. Yes, I know you can do it via email and online. I missed it, and when it turned up (after a lengthy search of my very-crowded in-box), it made more sense to mosey on down to the clerk’s office.

Where requiring photo ID helps prevent fraud, or something.

Have You Seen Me? Selective Vanishing of Campaign Signs Seems Suspicious.

Someone appears to be taking Jane Cormier’s Campaign signs but not the signs of her primary opponent. I mean, they’re right next to each other. One day they are both there, neither blocking the view of the other and the next – Jane’s sign is gone.

DOT doesn’t have them so who is taking them from high traffic areas and what do they have against Jane going to Concord to save taxpayers a little money?

Ranking Numbers Improve But Position Remains the Same

If I may take a moment of your time for a quick update. In the past month, GraniteGrok’s Alexa numbers have improved. Our National numbers are better, and our global numbers took a healthy leap in the right direction. But we did not advance in our list of statewide internet media portals.

Of the fourteen sites we are tracking only one moved, and it was in backward.

Why Democrats Don’t Trust You With Guns…

The typical Democrat reaction to anything relating to guns tells you a lot about them. Human beings filter things through the lens of their personal worldview and firearms are a great example of this.

The Democrat narrative claims that people can’t be trusted with firearms because at any moment they might snap and shoot everyone around them. In New Hampshire, a common theme when Liberals are trying to restrict firearms by limiting the places they can be carried is the old ‘Blood in the Streets’ narrative.

We can’t let them (continue to carry firearms here or there) it’ll be a wild west shoot out! Blood in the Streets!

It never happens but they do it anyway. Why?

Few knew just how big a fan of Peggy Gilmour, Rick Dowd Really Is

Peggy Gilmour is a progressive Democrat. She’s very progressive. She worships at all the progressive totems. Speaks the language of the left. She likes more taxes, more regulation, and less local control.

In 2014 Nashua Alderman Rick Dowd endorsed Democrat Peggy Gilmour. Dowd was a Republican for Peggy. He supported her instead of an actual Republican, Kevin Avard.

And now Rick is pretending to be both a Republican and Peggy Gilmour.

John Brennan Loses His Security Clearance, Usual Suspects Lose Their Minds

This is not surprising news to anyone but the media. Their devotion to the Trump Russia Collusion narrative (they created) makes them incapable of seeing the big picture. A picture that includes leading intelligence officials of yore who lied under oath and leaked classified intel to the press. One of them was John Brennan.

Brennan was a great choice to head Obama’s CIA because he is pompous, arrogant, and lies easily. Even under oath. Which is grounds for his clearance being revoked but that’s not why they did it.

Nashua Mayor Asks For 4 Million From Surplus None of it For Commuter Rail

nashuacityhallI guess there are bigger priorities in Nashua than “Choo Choo.” Capital equipment. Playgrounds. Sidewalks. A few ‘plants’ to spiffy up the joint. Work on a community center. Repurposing technology and updating an online dashboard so residents can access information from about city projects and initiatives. Like choo choo?

Nashua has four million dollars (leftover) and not a penny of it earmarked for another rail study.

They did earmark some to remove invasive species. No, not out-of-state Massachusetts voters living in Dem. Rep. Cindy Rosenwald’s house; plants by the river, or something.

Democrats More Positive About Socialism Than Capitalism

Capitalism vs Gallup PollAs some Democrats look for ways to run away from the reality of their political baggage Gallup comes along and shoots them in the kneecaps.

For the first time in Gallup’s measurement over the past decade, Democrats have a more positive image of socialism than they do of capitalism.

The problem? The indoctrination is working. But the professional left isn’t ready to come out of the closet quite yet.

Bill Kuch - Boutin mailerIn a recent mailer, which will take several posts to “depose” State Senate Candidate David Boutin came out smearing Republican Primary opponent Bill Kuch.

Boutin claims (see above) that his primary opponent, Bill Kuch, is extreme for voting against Marsy’s law. Hello! Dave? The New Hampshire House voted 284 – 51 against CACR22 (Marsy’s Law).

Dave Boutin thinks that’s extreme. As opposed to this?

A Reminder of Why We Need to Fight New Hampshire’s Many Cartels

Burning USS Raleigh on NH State FlagNew Hampshire has some obscene licensing rules that increase costs and prohibit or at least limit competition. Everyone agrees, except the cartel owners, and we’ve seen minor improvements in recent years. But we could do a lot better. So, I’m wondering if there’s leverage to be found in recent rulings against taxi cartels that deny them their monopoly.

In a resounding win for innovation and economic liberty, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled on Monday that taxi owners in Miami-Dade County have “no right to block competition” from ride-hailing firms like Lyft and Uber.
