Wait! Wait! Isn’t this a similar description of Tuesday’s GONH meeting?

Another senator who attended the meeting said Obama’s advisers refused to provide lawmakers with answers about whether the president plans to keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan after the war formally concludes later this year or about the Pentagon’s efforts to find nearly 300 kidnapped Nigerian school girls. Unsatisfied, some of the lawmakers started to leave … Read more

US Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) fires back at Dem US Senators Reid & Schumer

From Hot Air: Senators Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer have taken it upon themselves to single out Rep. Steve King on the floor of the Senate for having the courage to stand for We the People against open borders. As we noted yesterday, the party has refused to defend him, and top NRSC aides are involved in an ad campaign against him. Well, when nobody in the party defends you, a man’s got to do it himself. King took to the House floor to respond to them. You can watch the full clip here.

That’s because the National GOP is showing all the signs to selling out the blue collar (and high tech) American workers by joining with the Democrats in granting Amnesty (look, enough with the “pay a fine, pay back taxes” crap – if illegal aliens are not above stealing American SS #s, how the heck are you REALLY gonna do all that and more?  Do you really think we are all that stupid (yes, this goes to my jr. Senator, Kelly Ayotte, too)?  Our total unemployment rate, U3 and U6 is north of 12% – and you want to legalize and allow in MILLIONS more to compete for jobs at the un- and low skilled jobs?

The GOP has the opening to take away the mantle of

John Cornyn – so far off base, its a ludicrous “demand”.

Yeah, this will certainly inspire the base:

That’s from US Senator John Cornyn – a demand. I’d suggest that you click on over.  I really do wish that Party officials do so and read the responses; pretty much all of them should start to given the GOP great pause and great worry.  For you readers, this will be nothing new as we’ve been saying it for quite some time: EARN our vote, show us that you deserve it – stop taking it for granted.  Stop thinking “well, where else will they go” (er, see after the jump, one more time).  Making a demand for it, or stating over and over that “ANY Republican is better than any Democrat” is no longer making it.  The Internet has made it clear that there are too many Republicans that are shams – and many of us are no longer willing to spend one of the most precious coins of American Citizenship, our priceless vote, on frauds.

Who is a Republican fraud?  Someone who votes equally or more often with Democrats than with Republicans.  Someone who continues the incremental slide to the Left, to Socialism, instead of the original status of maximum Individual Freedom and Limited Government.  Someone who looks at the Constitution and the Platform – and just sniffs and votes away from it.  Like these “Republicans” (the lowest of the House Republican Alliance scores):

HRA Scores - lowest

According to the data, Brown [Scott Brown, former US Senator from MA, trying to be next one from NH  -Skip] , who took office in February 2010, sided with a Democratic majority on 22 percent of votes in his first year, ranking him seventh among all senators.  The next year, he voted with Democrats 46 percent of the time, trailing only Sen. Susan Collins of Maine. In 2012, he rose to the top of the list, siding with a Democratic majority close to 62 percent of the time, according to the annual report, which was printed in the January 21, 2013 issue of CQ Weekly.

The Senator tries to conflate two things that are not true –

A question about our ever increasing Entitlement Society:

When those that are productive and industrious see that it no longer pays enough to work, that it is no longer worth the risk, what WILL happen?  Consider this an open ended question. (H/T: Liberal Logic 101)

OUR State Project: What is it about “Free” that has Zandra Rice-Hawkins and Cynthia Chase’s panties in a bunch?

Adding a bit more from Steve’s post on the hysterical OUR State Project Progressives that believe that people who seemingly just want to be left alone by Government are THE existential threat to NH!  Remember, this from people who are out of staters themselves and depend on outside money to attack these people who just want to be left alone.  Is their urge and psychological urge to control and be controlled that bad, that the whole idea of Freedom is repugnant to their very being?  Or that the Free Stater Project folks will totally overturn their narrative that we can only exist by utilizing the heavy hand of Government into every nook and cranny of our lives?   From the Concord Monitor:

Fight against Free Staters:

A curious new account popped up in the world of New Hampshire political Twitter this week: @OurStateProject. The account’s description reads, “Exposing the Freestater threat to New Hampshire politics,” and the URL ourstateproject.com links back to the New Hampshire Democratic Party.  The problem is, no one knows where the account came from, and the Democratic Party says it’s not associated with it. There is a group of Democratic elected officials and politically involved people that has been meeting and calling itself the Our State Project, but they insist they’re not behind the account.

Zandra Rice-Hawkins, executive director of the left-leaning Granite State Progress, confirmed that a “loose-knit” group of people has been meeting at Granite State Progress offices on a monthly basis to discuss strategies for informing communities about

For U.S. Navy Rear Admiral William H. McRaven, it’s the little things that show the Principles at UT Commencement speech

U.S. Navy Rear Admiral William H. McRaven is also the Commander of the US Navy’s SEAL special operator forces.  And a SEAL himself so he knows of what he speaks:

I have been a Navy SEAL for 36 years. But it all began when I left UT for Basic SEAL training in Coronado, California.  Basic SEAL training is six months of long torturous runs in the soft sand, midnight swims in the cold water off San Diego, obstacles courses, unending calisthenics, days without sleep and always being cold, wet and miserable.  It is six months of being constantly harassed by professionally trained warriors who seek to find the weak of mind and body and eliminate them from ever becoming a Navy SEAL.  But, the training also seeks to find those students who can lead in an environment of constant stress, chaos, failure and hardships.

To me basic SEAL training was a life time of challenges crammed into six months.

My personal writing outlook is to take a particular current or political event and bring it back down to a given (or set of given) principles.  After all, it does tend to make things simple (and validates what we say as well).  Lots of other people do the same so it was nice to see how someone else does it:

  • If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.
  • If you want to change the world, find someone to help you paddle.

Here are more of the points; go to BI and read the explanations for each.  Many thanks for your service, sir!

Right, President Obama – how many people LOVE their political Boss?

Scott Brown Campaign Staff: Thanks for videoing us, Jeremy Baker!

Jeremy Baker on WMURReagan Democrat….Obama Republican (see after the jump)?

Well, at least he didn’t like about his name (only that he was off it before he was on it – the Scott Brown Campaign staff, that is)!  That would be Jeremy as in Jeremy Baker.  Turns out that commenter Radical Moderate found this wascally wabbit over on WMUR – hiding in plain site as it were.  James Pindell interviewed him back in December because he had created a Draft Scott Brown for US Senate in NH 2014.  I guess that we “could” forgive this recent UNH grad for believing:

“I think Scott Brown would be a great candidate….wanted to start my own little movement and made this blog page”.

Involvement in the College Republicans is fine, but I would have thought he would have delved deeper into Brown’s record before proclaiming on state-wide TV:

“I think he’s a great candidate, he’s done a lot of great stuff in the Senate already.  Umm, I think he’s willing to work with the other aisle, he’s very bipartisan and that something that young people like me especially admire because with all the gridlock that’s been happening.”

Bipartisan, eh?

Scott Brown at the Gun Owners of NH meeting: Cameras? Recording devices – yup, they were there.

Remember that no media or recording devices of ANY type were to be in the meeting of GONH when Scott Brown spoke this past Tuesday night.  I observed then:

So  Mitch Kopacz, President of Gun Owners of NH, what’s the deal?  You REALLY think that “Pravda on the Merrimack” (aka, the outpost of the liberal MSM called the Concord Monitor) is as supportive of the Second Amendment as GraniteGrok is?  And THEY, the reporter and photographer, were then allowed to breeze past the hotel manager at the front door and saunter right in?  And we were given the bum’s rush?

So, once again, the Liberal media, Mitch and Scott, were allowed in with a recording device?  How do you two explain this:

Scott Brown at GONH

Yes, that is the GONH meeting.  yes, that is Scott Brown.  Yes, this is not an artist’s rendition.  It is, however,

Project Veritas: James O’Keefe shows “Hollywood’s War on U.S. Energy”

CANNES — In a blockbuster new video, Project Veritas has exposed the truth about the dark funding behind Hollywood’s anti-fracking messaging machine.

New York Times Bestselling Author and Project Veritas founder and president James O’Keefe debuted the latest investigation at a “premiere” in Cannes, France on Wednesday.  In the investigation, an undercover journalist from Project Veritas posed as a member of a Middle Eastern oil dynasty and offered $9 million in funding to American filmmakers to fund an anti-fracking movie.  In video from a meeting with Ed Begley Jr., Mariel Hemingway and Josh Tickell, a Project Veritas investigator disguised as “Muhammed” offered $9 million for an anti-fracking film.   Muhammad” clearly states:

“If Washington DC continues fracking, America will be energy efficient, and then they won’t need my oil anymore.”

In the same conversation, Begley and Hemingway accept the funding and agree to hide the source of funds for the anti-fracking movie….In a phone call to Tickell, the ad executive states: “My client’s interest is to end American energy independence; your interest is to end fracking. And you guys understand that?”.  Tickell’s response:

I always have answers for WMUR Political Scoop (no matter its inanities)!

WMURWell, it’s Friday and once again WMUR Political Scoop has questions and lots of softballs were served up.  So I have answers…and in a couple of cases, I question the question or perceived observation:

If you watched Marilinda Garcia, the national Latino rising star, on CNN en Español to check out her Spanish speaking skills… well the station uses an interpreter because she speaks in English.

Isn’t it rascist to think that just because someone has a Spanish derived surname that they should be able to

The NoBrown / Second Amendment Rally: Scott Brown Campaign ignores its own strictures on others?

Last night, the Gun Owners of NH (“GONH”) had a meeting at the Holiday Inn in Concord, NH with their keynote speaker being former US Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) who is trying to become the next US Senator from NH.  Their rule, as been pointed out here and here, was that Scott Brown had insisted they they not allow:

  • Cameras or other recording devices
  • Media / reporters

We went down anyways (for nothing says New Media on the conservative side like GraniteGrok) with camera(s) in hand to see what was to be seen, get some interviews, and generally make an annoyance of our ourselves.  Last night, I am happy to report, we achieved all of those goals!  However, one of the things that most disturbs and annoys US are politicians and their coterie of campaign staffs that act contrary to their own request of others

AND LIE DOING IT!  ON TAPE!

Yup, that’s what they did.  WE can’t video them – but they can video others with impunity?  Er, no, not when we have our own camera ready!

NoBrown / Second Amendment Rally: So, Mitch Kopacz, the Concord Monitor is privileged?

So  Mitch Kopacz, President of Gun Owners of NH, what’s the deal?  You REALLY think that “Pravda on the Merrimack” (aka, the outpost of the liberal MSM called the Concord Monitor) is as supportive of the Second Amendment as GraniteGrok is?  And THEY, the reporter and photographer, were then allowed to breeze past the hotel manager at the front door and saunter right in?  And we were given the bum’s rush?

Now remember, we’ve already seen ONE stricture of “No Cameras / No Recording / No Media” broken by Scott Brown’s own campaign staff.  Now, a couple of videos showing that:

  • CONSERVATIVE media got restricted from entering the Holiday Inn (Concord, NH) and was told to leave the property.
  • LIBERAL media was allowed to walk right into the hotel – right past the “hotel manager” that kicked us off the property.

Again, this was at the behest of both Scott Brown and Gun Owners of NH (“GONH”).  So, first up for video is myself and Rick Olson (a GONH member, by the way) being told that we were persona non grata – and a bit of a back story to it as well…

OK, enough on the “other side of the street” – people were there to show their displeasure with Scott Brown (primarily) and with GONH for bowing down to Scott’s demands of No Cameras / No Recording / No Media / No Reporters (if ONLY he said NO to Democrat / Progressive legislation as emphatically!).  Even … Read more
