And the Kool-Aid Drinking Gun Control Crowd Continues To Pile it On

“Anyone with a gun can go out and commit an act of terrorism, even without a political affiliation.” —Aaron McGruder

James Holmes entered a movie theater and started “throwing shots,” injuring fifty-eight people and killing twelve others.  I need not give a full narrative of the tragedy, given the ongoing coverage on television, radio, internet and print media.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, the usual crowd quickly stepped up to politicize the event, calling for stricter measures on firearms ownership. The same old reliable liberal crows now grandstanding and blustering in the congressional well. Leading the charge is none other than NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Marko Kloos: Why The Gun Is Civilization

Marko Kloos wrote this piece in March of 2007. It is worth sharing over and over. Please enjoy….

"Why The Gun Is Civilization" author, Marko Kloos

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that’s it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

Democrat Hypocrites And Union Hacks

“Hypocrisy is the homage vice pays to virtue.” —Francois de La Rochefoucauld It was an eventful week for city Democrats. This past Sunday, State rep Garrity plead not guilty to assault charges (D) Hillsborough District 14, alleging he assaulted his ex-wife and another at the East Manchester Fish & Game Club (which, I might add, is … Read more

Idiots And Cowards Who Complain About Gun Ranges

“Once you’re able to look like an idiot and be OK with it, it opens up your potential.” —Nicole Sullivan

Irascible Cowards are idiots willing to  spew their opinion as if it means something, is always a great source of amusement to me. And sometimes they do so anonymously. Such is the case with this Silly_E-mail I received this morning.

Such e-mails are instructive in helping the reader observe the depths of ignorance to which some have succumbed, in spite of  any tone, word usage or voice which might suggest otherwise.

The e-mail received is errant on two levels: factually and conceptually.  An argument could be made this particular entry is a waste of time…a, “suffering of fools,” if you will. I do think its necessary because tom-foolery like this is reaching epidemic proportions.  And if conversations with idiots are the order, then we need to present at least one intelligent side.

The mystery e-mailer refers to my previous entry, Anatomy Of Gun Range Neighbors, and she states,

Anatomy Of Gun Range Neighbors

“Complainers change their complaints, but they never reduce the amount of time spent in complaining.”  —Mason Cooley

Here we go again. Same old story. Same old lame complaints. The Monadnock Rod and Gun Club was established in 1947. This 65-year old club continues to do what it always has done: Operate shooting ranges. And, like any other Sporting Club, the amount and continuity of the sound of the shooting ambience, varies with time of season and number of events hosted at the club.In short, neighboring residents can reasonably expect to hear gunfire more during certain times of the year than other times of the year. And if they cannot live with that, then why on earth purchase a home in proximity to a shooting range?

Romney’s Tax Records And The Idiot Cabral

“Is being an idiot like being high all the time?”  —Janeane Garofalo

MSNBC‘s Michael O’Brien asserts, “Most Americans say Mitt Romney should release more of his tax returns,” citing a USA Today/Gallup Poll. So how many Americans is “most Americans?” According to the poll, 54%. Certainly, that is 4% more than half. But curiously, the margin of error citing in the poll is +/-5 percentage points, based on a national survey of 539 adults. Also in this poll, Forty-seven percent call the issue of releasing tax returns in general, “largely irrelevant...”

CNBC? Yeah..[insert yawn here] more of the same blather. CNBC adds this little morsel of info:

Wal-Mart: Making Stuff Up as We Merrily Go Along

“Wal-mart… do they like make walls there?” —Paris Hilton

I truly dislike Walmart. Back in April, I detailed in my column why Wal-Mart is anti-gun, “but it’s a secret.” Having gone to Wal-Mart for some tires, I felt myself lectured and admonished by a technician over the mere presence of an unloaded firearm present in my vehicle. I told the Wal-Mart lackey in no uncertain terms that he was full of crap and that he was making stuff up.

About that Outsourcing…

“Nothing like being scolded by a hippie.”  —Sarah Dessen

President Barack Hussein Obama, the Outsourcer-in-Chief

Yet another campaign ad from Obummer accusing Mittens of outsourcing jobs. Fact-Check.org, as well as the other pundits have weighed in on this issue, “yet they still fiddle.” Does Fisker Automotive  come to mind?

And what about outsourcing? What is the deal with outsourcing? Does anybody ever think about the concept beyond the fact that outsourcing is done for the pursuit of lower costs and cheaper labor? We certainly need to.

Healthcare Mandate Ruling: IS The Dust Settling?

“Who needs enemies when you’ve got Republican Surrenderists for Obamacare waiting in the wings?” Michelle Malkin

Eleven days have passed since the Supreme Court Healthcare mandate ruling. And with breakneck lightening speed pundits on both sides took to the airwaves, spinning, expounding, pontificating, analyzing and finger-wagging. What was shocking to many in the pregnant pause of waiting for the decision was that it was Justice Roberts who was the swing vote to uphold the law.

For months, we heard a regular smorgasbord of talking heads on television, radio and in blogs predicting the mandate would fall and be declared “unconstitutional” by the nation’s highest court. The court’s upholding of the mandate drew a shockwave throughout the land. “Surprise, Surprise…”

Crybaby Concord Monitor Whines

Concord Monitor is deleting comments to stories about people who comment there on taxpayer timeYesterday Morning, two Concord Monitor Reporters, Ann Marie Yimmons and Matt Spolar, were excluded (Barred – their word, not mine) from a press conference held by House Speaker Bill O’Brien. The topic “de jour” was a discussion of  reforms to the ebt system in the state.

So what does Felice Belman, Editor of the Monitor do? She makes speculative statements.

RINO Reminiscents

“I would rather have a competent extremist than an incompetent moderate.” —Leon Jaworski

Representative Lee Quandt (R)ino

Many of you know Marshall “Lee” Quandt? Rockingham District 13? We here at the Grok fancy him a RINO. Back in January of this year he went after Conservative Commentator Carolyn McKinney where he characterized the New Hampshire Republican Liberty Caucus as, “sickening.”  Aside from grossly mischaracterizing McKinney, he unabashedly defends, supports and coddles the unions.

Make no mistake about it. Lee Quandt is a RINO…But then again Rockingham Districts, “have RINO written all over them.”  So back in April, Quandt has a sit down with Ann Marie Timmons and Matt Spolar, two lib-scribes of the Concord “Fishwrapper” Monitor. Here’s how they play it:

Nothing Like A “Veto Day” To Bring Out Liberal Concern For Overtaxation

“The same undisciplined government spending and social engineering that has undermined our economy over the past 30 years has also been tearing at the social fabric of this land.”   —Stockwell Day

The New Hampshire House and Senate will vote today  to override Governor John Lynch’s veto of two bills that sought to  allow Granite State businesses to receive tax credits for donations to scholarship funds to help low and middle income students attend private and religious schools.

Of course, opponents of SB 372 and HB 1607 had lots to say about these bills, chief among them, Maggie, “The Red” Hassan. Hassan, as reported in the Union Leader said,

Paul Krugman on Greece: It’s Europe’s Fault!

“Blessed are the young for they shall inherit the national debt.”  —Herbert Hoover

Paul Krugman of the New York Times

Paul  Krugman over at the New York Times is an unapologetic Statist, Keynesian and Progressive liberal who does well to technicratically argue for strong centralized governments in the area of economics. Krugman is an ardent advocate for income redistribution through governmental means (by force) and a closet anti-capitalist. In plain words, “A Marxist.” Chances are you already knew that about Paul Krugman, but hey…I just like to point it out. Call it my way of yet again putting my thumb into the eye of the rank and file Kool-Aid drinkers out there in liberal land.

G20 and Comrade Obama

“Collective states are constitutionally incapable of reliably producing anything but corpses.” —L. Neil Smith

Needing an economic boost, President Barack Obama goes to the G20 Summit in Mexico…hat in hand…looking for some commitments  from the European Leaders, trying to land assurances that Europe is fomenting a plan to bolster markets and prevent Europe’s challenges from sucking the rest of the world into its’ economic abyss. Hypocritically, Comrade Obama pressed the Euro-socialist leaders to hasten economic demand,  while the Europeans want Obama to promise the United States won’t fiscally tank at the close of 2012.

Obama Immigration Policy, Sans Consequences?

“Amnesty is a big billboard, a flashing billboard, to the rest of the world that we don’t really mean our immigration law.”  —Richard Lamm

One of the realities of life is having consequences  arising from the choices of others. Sad, but true. Except of course if you are an “illegal alien.” “Undocumented Immigrants” as liberals like to call them, is a misnomer. Fact is, it is “illegal” to enter the United States without submitting to a process to do so. So I prefer the term, “Crim-aliens”  If “undocumented immigrant is a logically correct term, than so is “unlicensed pharmacist” for a drug dealer. In that aversion to consequence,  it would appear that liberals like to massage terminology that aides them in fooling the sheeple.
