The really good news is that the Fifth Circuit has rejected a constitutional challenge to campus carry in Texas. The State allows concealed permit holders to carry on college campuses which got some professorial panties in a bunch. The law did not let the Profs prohibit concealed firearms in their own classrooms (some administrative areas on campus are still verboten), so they sued claiming “the law and policy violate(s) the First Amendment, Second Amendment, and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.”
The Court tossed it out, but what’s that got to do with the left proving me right? Plenty.

Heidi Thiess, City Council Member in League City, Texas authored a resolution to to “protect and defend the constitutional right to keep and bear arms’. It was introduced – and adopted – on February 12, 2013.
In her public statement, she said “It is not about having a right to hunt or shoot skeet, it’s about self-defense, from the criminal element on our streets, the common thugs, AND the criminal element within our own government – who wish to be masters of a disarmed and helpless people. Make no mistake, that is what this is really about, control.’
While non-binding in nature, League City, Texas has put those who might believe otherwise, on notice.
