Dark Money for Dem’s … More “Do as I say not as I do”

Dark money for Dem’s sound hypocritical, right? It is more “Do as I say not as I do” from them. There is a rapidly growing $800 million dark money network. It is helping anonymous donors pour a record amount of money into voter registration groups.

Dark Money

Next time NH Democrats start yammering about “Dark Money” in campaigns, remember this:

Note the last question below: LEFT’S NON-PROFIT FUNDING LEAD KEEPS GROWING: Michael Watson and Shane Devine of the Capital Research Center (CRC) update through the 2018 campaign the center’s ongoing study comparing charitable funding resources for the Left and Right and finds the former’s advantage continues to expand. “In the 2017–2018 cycle, the 301 groups supported by … Read more

Nonprofits; not the political parties drive our politics.

Arabella Advisors (AA) is a little known leftist consultancy but is responsible for a hidden river of cash. They were responsible for pouring $600 million into the 2018 political pipeline and are the left’s best-kept secret.

Dark Money for Leftist Causes is Unaccountable

There is a watchdog group called Americans for Public Trust working to pull back the curtain on Dark Money. They recently blew the whistle on the “news” website Courier Newsroom (CN). Did you ever hear of them?

House Democrats Want to Use The IRS To Silence Political Dissent (again)

The Left used the IRS to shut down speech after the 2010 Tea Party election. Lois Lerner became a household name. No one involved suffered for that abuse of power. Is that why House Democrats think they can tweak the tax code to silence speech to which they object?

It’s Time for the IRS to visit the NHCAA

I just mentioned this, about Shaheen asking the IRS to go after 501(c) (4) groups, and look what falls into my lap.

Historically, the IRS has stayed out of politically charged battles over campaign spending. But lately the agency appears to be giving nonprofits a closer look. IRS rules permit 501(c)(4) social welfare groups to engage in politics, but not if it’s their “primary purpose.”

An Exempt Organizations Division work plan for fiscal 2011 outlines a new project examining the activities of 501(c)(4) groups. A recent IRS move to strip a nonprofit known as Emerge America and its local affiliates of their tax-exempt status has alarmed some in the nonprofit sector. The agency’s explanation to the group, which helps elect Democratic female candidates, hints that overly partisan organizations may not pass the “primary purpose” test.

I think the IRS is being used to harass legitimate non-profit activities, but…I also think that Sarah Warner’s New Hampshire Citizens Alliance for Action PAC fails to pass the smell test.  They have only ever advocated for Carol Shea-Porter for Congress making it their primary political purpose.  Based on his article they are in violation of the law.

Anyone out there interested in bringing this to the IRS’ attention?  (Please?)

Revoke Non-Profit Status?

In 2010 the NHCA’s PAC, New Hampshire Citizens Alliance for Action, spent all it’s over $15,000.00 in PAC money to re-elect Carol Shea-Porter.

The One-Trick Tax-And-Spend Donkey By Any Other Name…

No Good Dancing DonkeyThe New Hampshire democrats have a name for their new 501(c)(4) non-profit.  It’s the July Fourth Forum. What, “We just lost The Whole Damn State” was already taken?

As with most things named by democrats it presents a notion diametrically opposite its true intention.  We see this same naming tactic in their legislation  (at least in DC).  Their bills always have the words American, Freedom, Rights, Choice, or Affordable in the name, usually including two or more at any given time.  This is meant to serves as a warning to anyone who dares gaze upon the hundreds of thousands of words that follow the name of their bill (not that they want anyone to actually read them).   If allowed to become law it will hurt Americans, deny freedoms, infringe rights, cost a fortune and leave you with whatever choice the government has decided is best for you and few if any other.

So the only word in any name of any Democrat bill that has any hope of being remotely accurate must be the word “Act.”  As in, that American-Freedom-Rights-and choice-stuff  is all just an act.

Which brings us back to Kathy Sullivan’s ‘”July Fourth Forum.”

Not So Secret “Secret” Group

The Sullivan 501(4)c, as yet unnamed, we are still talking to powerful people in DC, boy-oh-boy you’re gonna be sorry you messed with us, non-profit has not made any recent news but that is no reason not to discuss it anyway. And we should discuss it because it looks like we know who here secret donors are going to be.

Not An Orignal Thought Between Them

The progressives are looking for a name for Kathy Sullivan’s 501(4)c secret-donor non-profit.  Well how about "Amercian Bridge?"

Why name it that?  Because it would fit nicely with a national group ‘American Bridge" set up by David Brock, a prominent democrat political operative, who runs an array of groups under the left wing "Media Matters," a non-profit that does not need to disclose it’s donors either–and from whom he will tap resources to fund his new group meant to do battle with similar groups on the right.

If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them

Go ahead...Speak!The day after a prominent democrat called for party reform to demonstrate how the left are the real fiscal conservatives in New Hampshire, the same democrat announces the formation of a 501(c)4 issues group, presumably to counter groups like Cornerstone Policy and Josiah Bartlett.

There are two direct quotes worth laughing at–I’m sorry noting.

"The big difference is that this will be a fact-based group,” she said. “I look at this as pragmatic and progressive, which is the New Hampshire way.”

New Hampshire is Progressive? That suggests some kind of substance abuse don’t you think.  Kool Aid perhaps? Then there’s this…

And Sullivan said that just like the conservative groups, her 501(c)(4), this organization will not be required to disclose its donors. While she’d rather have all sides disclose, “that’s not going to happen,” she said. “So, if you can’t beat them, join them. You have to play with the cards you’re dealt.”

(Quotes are taken from yesterdays Granite Status by John DiStaso.)

So let’s see.  The hypocrats are going to create a non-profit with mysterious donors, and this is a) new to them? and b) something we are supposed to give a damn about?
