People who pay attention to such things are predicting a record Memorial Day Weekend for tourism in New Hampshire. Not that this is anything new. The Granite State has experienced year after year of tourism growth in contradiction to more than a decade of fearmongering by Climate Cultists that global warming would ruin the industry.
So, a note to the undeterred tourists. If you plan to bring your campfire “supplies,” New Hampshire forest rangers want to check out your wood.
I’ve been saying it for months and proving it out with factual evidence but apparently that hasn’t been good enough for some Republican men OR New Hampshire’s male Republican Governor. The goal of House Bill 1319 (HB 1319) aka ‘Gender Identity’ legislation, is to change the definition of woman in public policy and under the law.
Over and over and over again, I have been explaining this with factual evidence that this is the end game but it seems some men don’t grasp this very dark reality or the ramifications of doing so. In a discussion on my most recently article about places where the word ‘Mother’ is being removed or banned, a trans woman actually admitted that that is what they are doing:
FYI, it’s that season again: the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s office has issued the standard biennial reminder of the deadline for changes in party registration before this year’s primary election in September. Nothing new; just a reminder.
“Tuesday, June 5th is the deadline for changing your political party affiliation before the September 11, 2018, State Primary Election…Voters should verify that they are either registered as affiliated with the political party in whose primary they plan to vote on September 11, 2018, or that they are registered as undeclared.”
Today is Mother’s Day, that lovely day once every year in which people across the country celebrate their mothers in a special way, the women who birthed or raised them and loved them unconditionally. Of course, with the impending Gender Identity legislation, passed by a majority of men and about to be signed into law by Governor Sununu, eventually, to appease trans activists, motherhood will be redefined just like womanhood is being redefined under House Bill 1319 (HB 1319).
You’re probably shaking your head in disbelief, but alas, it’s true. In the United Kingdom, the British Medical Association has informed doctors that they are not to refer to pregnant patients as “mothers” because it may offend transgenders:
This week the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute (NHFPI) issued some analysis on the “abnormal rise” in New Hampshire Business tax revenue. Their conclusion? It is likely due to Federal Tax Reform.
As of the end of April, the BPT and BET together are about $90.8 million (16.9 percent) above plan for the year, and $107.0 million (20.6 percent) above April 2017. Although these two business taxes have been the primary source of the surplus during the year, the post-TCJA rise has dwarfed other revenue sources, even those that are major contributors.

Have you ever visited the Grand Canyon? If you were there would you ask yourself how you can spend people’s taxes to attract more visitors? While waiting in line to enter the sold-out Zion National Park would you think of ways to get more millennials to visit?
New Hampshire has many fine qualities. Near the top of my list is its low population which results in rare traffic problems and short lines virtually everywhere. Even in the heat of summer, it’s not too hard to find a place to spread out on the beach at Wallis Sands State Park. In the fall rush, a person can hike the trails of Pack Monadnock and still enjoy seclusion in the woods. In the summer, a family can get a ticket to the minor league ball game for cheap and not get turned away due to a sell-out.
At no point do I ever say to myself “I wish there were more people here.”
Mr. Trump won the presidency on an issue no one else in the ruling class took seriously. Immigration, border control, and the very definition of what it meant to be American. For years the cultural elites in Washington and across the nation have shared a growing disinterest in the idea of citizenship. Their reactions have run the gamut from patronizing to insults. Republicans pander to narratives while Democrats call them xenophobes, racists, and even white supremacists. Policies and priorities that resulted in the opioid crisis, and a range of national security issues.
Trump won because citizenship means something, and securing that something matters. And when we look at New Hampshire, we have a similar problem just waiting for someone to capitalize on it. “Border control” for voting purposes.

Severe thunderstorms in parts of New York and Pennsylvania are expected to make their way to Vermont and New Hampshire later. The storms could come around 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, much of New Hampshire is under a wind advisory as heavy wind gusts threaten the state. Some of Southern New Hampshire avoids the wind advisory, but is under a hazardous weather outlook.
David Stevenson, writing at NH Journal, shares a recent report by The Analysis Group which
“…just released their review of the effects of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), and they give it an A+.”
If you’re not the guessing sort, there are a lot of issues with the report, which is not surprising because (as Stevenson points out) the Analysis Group is a paid consultant of RGGI.
Yesterday, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted on the CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 22 (CACR 22), RELATING TO: rights for crime victims, also known as “Marsy’s Law.” In an overwhelming bipartisan defeat, the house voted 284 – 51 against Marsy’s Law and changing the New Hampshire Constitution. They also voted to “indefinitely postpone” this amendment being brought up again.
On the outset, Marsy’s Law seems like a no brainer – give victims constitutional rights. How could anyone possibly oppose something that helps victims? Many legislators signed on in support based on what they were told by the paid lobbyists for the constitutional amendment. As with anything “too good to be true,” the devil was in the details and that’s where Marsy’s Law fails, in every aspect.
Next week, the New Hampshire Senate will be voting on House Bill 1319 (HB 1319), AN ACT prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity. The legislation was voted “Inexpedient To Legislate” and to “Interim Study” by the Senate Judiciary Committee on April 24th. This legislation was defeated last year by the New Hampshire House of Representatives when it was introduced as House Bill 478.
The out-of-state organization (Super PAC) pushing this legislation is being funded by a man from Colorado who recently stated that his goal is to “punish the wicked” by passing laws that will infringe upon Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and of course Women’s Rights. Tim Gill is a multi-millionaire gay activist who has been funding LGBT legislation for years.
Very wealthy people from California are working hard and spending big money ($27 million+) to pass an amendment to our NH Constitution. This is known as Marsy’s Law. On Monday, the New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing for House Bill 1319 (HB 1319), AN ACT prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity.
Proponents of the legislation claim trans people don’t have protection against discrimination in the Granite State which has already been proven untrue. In fact, trans people have been using existing discrimination laws to sue when necessary for almost two decades.
The out-of-state organization that decided to push the “Trans Bill” in New Hampshire willfully ignores this fact and spreads falsehoods around the state that trans people don’t have the same protections as everyone else in the state. They spent last year smearing the Granite State with their lies.
Everyone has the individual right to believe whatever they want of themselves but what this legislation does is essentially erase the very definition of women and girls in public policy. By allowing anyone who simply feels like they are a woman or a girl to actually be defined as such, the true definition of womanhood and girlhood is absolutely erased.
Today, Ivanka Trump and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin came to New Hampshire to talk about President Trump’s tax plan on “Tax Day.” The two were talking about the benefits of the tax plan that was put into place by the Republican-controlled Congress (not one of New Hampshire’s Democrat representatives voted for their constituents to keep more of their own hard-earned money, not Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, Annie Kuster or Carol Shea-Porter).
New Hampshire Democrats weren’t very happy about this visit. They seem to hate that Granite Staters actually get to keep more of their own hard-earned money.

As a visiting midwest (ish) tourist, before moving to New Hampshire in 1990, I took the occasional trip to Hampton Beach. Good times. What I didn’t know then was that a few years later in 1995, 2500 experts got together and decided they could make a comfortable living if they said things like in 25 years, “most of the beaches on the East Coast would be gone.”
Yesterday, Ed Mosca beat me to the punch on reporting the latest histrionics from the New Hampshire left. House Bill 372, requires anyone who votes in an election with an out of state ID to obtain an NH ID within 60 days of casting that vote.
