Government Bureaucrats Control Public Education

Government Bureaucrats Control Education

Government bureaucrats control public education. Are you one of the people who object to much of what goes on in government operated schools? Are you also willing to tolerate it because that’s where you property taxes go? It sure isn’t free… but it’s paid for. Would you rather have an extra car, a boat, vacation … Read more

Notable Quote – Victor Davis Hanson

Students now leave campus largely prepped by their professors to embrace a predictable menu: the glories of larger government, income redistribution, greater entitlements, radical environmentalism, abortion, multiculturalism, suspicion of traditional religion, and antipathy to the international role of the United States in the past and present. -Prof. Victor Davis Hanson (Indoctrination, not education) And Alexandria Ocasio-Ortez … Read more

It sounds like NH’s “Social Studies” is about to get “SJW watered down” again

Used to be called History and separately, civics. How did we get here from back then and how is American government supposed to be organized and run?  Basic issues and basic knowledgebases for any American citizen.  Sadly, our government schools seem to be a poor job of both – after all, ask a young adult the same question we require of LEGAL immigrants wishing to become naturalized Citizens and be prepared for a very dismal experience.  So when I saw this (emphasis mine, reformatted):

NH in process of revamping social studies curriculum

EXETER — The state of New Hampshire’s educational standards for social studies has not been updated since 2006 but with a review from the Department of Education underway, local school administrators and community leaders are beginning to line up to help shape its process.

I went “It’s really gonna get addressed!  Yay!”. Then I went back and reread that “community leaders” bit again. Sorry I did that….sigh….

Appellate Court Slaps Down University for “cavalier attitude toward petitioner’s due process rights”

UBMy interest in this decision is two-fold. First, no small amount of effort has been expended on these pages to highlight the abuse of rights on college campuses or the culture that facilitates it. Second, I attended the University of Buffalo, which was just dope-slapped by a New York State Appellate Court for its banana-republic-like judgment against a student.

In response to their disciplinary process, the court said,

Ideologies in our Schools (Part 3)

education-indoctrinationBy Ken Eyring

This is the third part in a series that discusses indoctrination of our children through the introduction of ideologies in our schools. The focus below is in response to a Windham student, who took offense with my previous postings and mischaracterized my positions. You can find Skylar Hebert’s April 12th letter to the editor in the Windham Independent here.

Dear Skylar,

In your letter to me in the April 12 Windham Independent, you made comments that indicate you misunderstood the messages of my previous letters and therefore mischaracterized my positions. My letters are against our school district bringing ideologies into our schools and classrooms.

My letter was not against your right to protest – which I support, but not during school hours.

I hadn’t really looked at it this way…

Question For Conservatives: Why Are Your Children Still In Public School? David Groessh, PatriotUpdate.com, posted this question on Wednesday.  I read it early this morning and thought gee, he’s right.  He says in his opening paragraph: ‘You would not let your little children play in a busy street, jump off the roof of a ten-story building, or … Read more

Developing…Merrimack High School Teachers Indoctrinating Students?

I have received a number of reports of teachers in the Merrimack High School actively promoting a specific presidential candidate.  This appears to take several forms.  I have reports of posters, temporary messages encouraging students to assist a single campaign–with contact info, and then the typical teacher injecting their own preferences into the class discussion on an almost daily basis, also known as biased propagandizing and political indoctrination on the taxpayer dime.

Let me be clear.  All these offenses, and there appear to be several and many, promote President Obama’s re-election with little or no effort to provide any kind of ongoing or daily balance for or toward his opponent.  As class leaders, role models, and public servants, this is unethical, and very likely illegal.

This has been going on for weeks and I just want it to stop.

So how do we go about making it stop?
