Staying with the Conservative Candidates running for the NH House in Belknap 5 (Meredith and Gilford) is Bob Greemore. Yet another small business owner, he too is not happy how the State of NH has drifted from being a biz friendly place – his business is down because a lot of his customers are not in business. Someone who has fought hard as a member of the Belknap County delegation, he has fought to keepsafe taxpayers wallets:

GrokTV Event – Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum – Question 6
And now for the last question of the night, formulated by Stella Scamman (moderator for the evening’s Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum). The Candidates for this last question were in attendance were Rick Parent & Vern Clough vying for the Republican nomination in NH 1st Congressional District and Will Dean & Dennis Lamare (“NO SHOWS” were Congressmen Frank “Stiffing the SRW at the last moment” Guinta and Charlie “It’s not worth my time” Bass).
Question 6: Are you aware of the UN Agenda 21 and if you are, what would you do to kill it?

He may have inherited a bad situation (so did Reagan). I think Obama’s “laser like focus” went dark…

GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – NH State Senate District 7
In Belknap County, there is a second NH State Senate race – that in District 7. Here, Josh Youseff and Bill Grimm are vying to be the Republican nominee to take on the Democrat contender. In my estimation, there is a certain divide between the two – Josh is more the Liberty & Freedom guy (and the last of our interview series with him is here; follow it backwards) while Grimm is more the Establishment guy. Also, as you listen to the video, it is plain that Grimm is not exactly “heads on and out front” on his answers; too much equivocation for me. And his unwillingness to commit to The Pledge is similar to one of the Democrats, Jackie Cilley (while less than that of Bill Kennedy who is opening arguing for a broadbased income tax here in NH).
No, that is not Josh in the video; instead, a surrogate stood in for him.
GrokTV Event – Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum – Question 5- Nationalizing Education Standards?
For the cost of our educational system at the K-12 levels, our results are deplorable. No Child Left Behind was an attempt to “fix” that with uneven results (and unions screaming that they should not be judged or evaluated by their pupils results). Now, Fed. Ed. Sec. Arne Duncan, with his Race To the Top, is trying to institute an even more Top Down Federalization of education by “hijacking” what is known as the Common Core Standards with “awards” (or is that handcuffs?) of Federal money. Is this something that NH should be in, or should local control be preeminent?
Question 5: What is your opinion of the Common Core Standards that the Federal Govt is suggesting as a national curriculum?
GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – NH State Senate District 6
Next on the list of Contested Primaries night at the monthly Belknap County Republicans was that of the NH State Senate. Two races touch Belknap County – District 6 and District 7. The former, centered in Farmington, is being contested by Sam Cataldo (long term NH House Rep) and Dick Green (former State Senator & Mayor of Rochester).
Did I mention that Dick Green, as told to me, was a member of the infamous “Republicans for Lynch” (er, that would be current DEMOCRAT NH Gov. John Lynch)? A kindred spirit with Ray Burton (that ossified dinosaur). Yes, that is a”Conservative” outlook – really?
GrokWATCH: Right To Know Request – Water Sustainability Commission – Update 2
As I said yesterday, I had requested a contract between the State of NH and Water Sustainability Commission / Synchrony Advisors, LLC, but was informed that there was none. So, on August 2, I asked for additional information from Synchrony Advisors, LLC as to the WSC’s activities, especially their financial ones. Note the time stamp (emphasis mine):

Chair Gilbert,
I will accept you at your word for this [That there is no contract -Skip]. Thus, I will pull my RTK request for the contract back, as well as the other one concerning the correspondence of the contract.
However, while you all may be volunteers, your activities still were under the auspices of a Governmental Executive Order, thus still subject to RSA 91-A requests. Please consider the following as such:
Where Congressman Frank Guinta helps to make Congress even MORE irrelevant and Obama more powerful
“Or are you that hellbent in giving Obama and the Progressives the tyrannical Administrative State they so ever desire?“
US Constitution, Article II, Section 2, paragraph 2:
…shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments
This is one of those posts that all bloggers have – start it, something else grabs the eyeballs, and it just sits. Unlike some of my others, though, there was a little voice saying – yeah this is important. Why? All during the campaign back in 2010, it was “Constitution Frank” Guinta; I remember that because I interviewed him often. He realized which way the political way the wind was blowing and decided to ride it. Problem was, we all believed what he said (and knew what Carol Shea-Porter would do if re-elected – and still do). The problem is that when you go to the mat for someone, which the ‘Grok did during the primary and the general, when you come across stuff like this, you end up doing more than merely wince and cringe (reformatted and emphasis mine):
GrokWATCH: Right To Know Request – Water Sustainability Commission – Update 3
I ended the last dispatch with this:
“Guess how long it took to get a response???”
Answer: 10 days simply to have an email recognized and returned (emphasis mine):

With this email I am acknowledging receipt of your August 2, 2012 Right to Know request. Given the scope of your request, it is anticipated that it will take as much as 30 days from the date of your request to identify whether such documents exist, and if they do, to gather and review them. There may be a cost for reproducing them for you, but we will let you know more precisely what the cost might be once we have a better understanding of the scope and number of these documents. If you do not wish to incur theses costs, it may be possible for you to review them without incurring the cost of reproduction. Again, we will let you know that too.
Best regards,

GrokTV: Conservative Republican Candidate Home Event – Colette Worsman
Having heard from Kevin Smith and Josh Youseff, it was time to listen to the Conservatives running for the NH House from Belknap 5 – the Towns of Meredith and Gilford (given that Barbara Aichinger, who had opened her home for this event, lives in Gilford). First up is Colette Worsman, running for her second term in the NH House. A past selectman in Meredith, she has been a tireless worker for conservative values and fiscally frugal budgets. A small biz co-owner, she knows full well the heartache of a meddling govt that believes it is making it easier but only makes it harder for these owners to be able to serve their customers.
Don’t take my word for it, listen to Colette!
GrokTV Event – Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum – Question 4
To recap: five of the questions asked of the Candidates at the Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum were contributed before and during the event by the actual attendees with the lone exception of the last Question by Stella Scamman, the moderator. The Candidates answering were:
NH First Congressional District – Rick Parent, Vern Clough NH Second Congressional District – Will Dean, Dennis Lamare
“NO SHOWS”: Incumbents Congressmen Frank “Stiffing the SRW at the last moment” Guinta and Charlie “It’s not worth my time” Bass.
Much has been made of the annual debt (now all of the years of Obama’s Presidency have had $1 Trillion deficits) and the debt, but little on how to pay that $16 Trillion debt (which soars to over $130 Trillion if you count unfunded future liabilities) – Question 4: How will you work to reduce the debt limit?
GrokWATCH: Right To Know Request – Water Sustainability Commission – Update 1
Back on August 2, we launched an RTK (Right To Know) request against Gov. Lynch’s parting gift, the Water Sustainability Commission. Specifically, we wanted copies of all of the surveys that the public had filled in that the WSC presented via SurveyMonkey.
I am happy to report that John Gilbert did respond positively and sent a PDF containing those results within two days of the request. And yes, I was / am behind on posting this up.
But, from there, I decided to ask for more – the contract between the State of New Hampshire and his firm, Synchrony Advisors, LLC, to no avail:

Chairman Gilbert,
I have received your email and will be reviewing all of those surveys; we do appreciate your willingness to quickly comply with our request.
An additional request: again, under the auspices of RSA 91-A, we are requesting a copy of the signed contract between your company and the State of New Hampshire. Further, as you are acting as an agent of the State, we are also requesting electronic copies of all the correspondence (e.g., such as, but not limited to email, paper mailings, recorded phone conversations and video conferences, websites) pertaining to that contract.
Kindest regards,
-Skip
When the Left starts “Memory Holing” pictures and stories, you’re on the Right track!
The ‘Grok is doing its part on exposing what has been run on a semi-stealth process here in NH – the Federal Government’s implementation of President Obama’s promise made just before his inauguration: “We are five days from fundamentally transforming the United States”.
As Tom’s post / series thus far has been pointing out (Part 1, Part 2), there appears to be an effort by HUD / EPA / DOT to subvert local control and local zoning for environmental and “sustainable” reasons only. But the real story is not just subverting local control with Federal control of the Environment.
American Exceptionalism – hoping it is more than a campaign slogan
This caught my eye as one of the things that Romney said after announcing that Paul Ryan was to be his Veep pick:
“I love America. We’re going to restore American principles. We love this country. We don’t want to change it. We don’t want to transform it. We want to restore the principles of America that made us the hope of the earth.”
Again, I ask you, loyal reader, to compare that, going back to our Founders vision, to what Obama has said:
Humor – campaign style
More at the link! (H/T: The Morlock Revolt)
Hpocrisy of the Left – yet another example
Nothing more needs to be said. (H/T: Troglopundit)
And when Obama / Biden / Axelrod / Wasserman-Shultz / Ray Buckley talks about the Bush deficits…..
I see BIG columns for Obama, don’t you? (H/T: White House via The Corner)
GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries”- NH Executive Council
Going from the top race and proceeding “down ticket” at the event is that of the NH Executive Council and two candidates showed up for that: long time (in the tooth) politician and holder of the seat, Ray Burton) and Jerry Thibodeau who believes that he can overcome this ossified dinosaur and Master of the Patronage handshake (in my opinion) and change the name of the District 1 Executive Council seat back “to the people” (yeah, I’m biased – and have no problem in admitting it – I say what most other won’t DARE to about Burton). Especially with this:
These were not asked as a member of the New Media. Rather, they were submitted because I am a Member of the NH GOP State Committee:
To Ray Burton and Jerry Thibodeau (Executive Council, District 1):
Does it hurt the Republican “brand”, in your opinion, when an elected Republican official publicly endorses a Democrat in a race where there are Republicans running?
As in Ray Burton endorsing a Democrat up North? Like Dick Green (in running for NH State Senate now, who was a member of “Republicans for Lynch)”?
Why does Ray Burton get a pass from other Republicans – and why does Leadership do nothing as the Public looks on (often, with the mantra on their lips “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties”) instead of cleaning up and cleaning house? Sheesh….
Here is the video of Jerry Thibodeau and Ray Burton:
