Welcome to your Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 morning update.
From Fox News, after Boston banned ICE vehicles from using city-owned parking lots to stage operations, ICE issued a notice seeking to rent hundreds of parking spaces in the city for five years. In response, Boston Mayor Wu, an outspoken opponent of President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda, issued an open letter to parking garage and lot owners throughout Boston in which she revealed the city had submitted a Freedom of Information Act request for any local responses to ICE.
If that doesn’t sound intimidating to you, it should. She basically said if you’re taking money from ICE to allow federal agents to enforce actual laws in the city of Boston, we’re gonna find out who you are.
That’s not too chilling, is it?
Why would Mayor Wu object to what ICE is doing?
For example, since March of twenty twenty five, ICE has arrested thousands of criminal aliens from the streets of Greater Boston for things like murder, drug trafficking, organized crime, rape, and child sex offenses, money laundering, assault, cocaine, fentanyl, firearms violations, targeting they’ve targeted transnational gangs, they’ve rounded up criminals wanted by Interpol, and even some terrorists.
All despite Mayor Wu and Democrats’ objections, obstructions, and interference.
She’s already blocked the use of any and all municipal parking spaces owned by the city for ICE, so they had to go look for private places to put their vehicles.
Quote, in response, Wu issued an official appeal from the city of Boston for garage and lot owners to reject ICE staging facilities. She wrote that if ICE were to procure such resources, it would constitute an unprovoked and unwarranted escalation, creating potentially significant risks to public safety and halting economic activity across our entire region. Wu also noted that the same day the city submitted a FOIA request for any local responses to ICE. She told the garage and lot owners, We will keep you updated as we push for a response, adding, Thank you again for your partnership.

Now would be a great time for everyone to consider how Democrats partnered with everyone during the response to COVID.
That’s what Democrats do when they want something. They demand it, they inject some fear, maybe a little intimidation.
And even retaliation. Saw plenty of that.
Private property owners in Greater Boston are now on notice.
So are residents, commuters, and tourists. And not just in Boston.
Democrats want illegals on their streets to swell their census numbers for political advantage. Even if that means leaving you in the company of gangs, drugs, sex traffickers, more overdose deaths, more crime, more robbery, more muggings, more rape, and more murder.
Imagine what else they would do to you in the name of Democrat political power if they didn’t have anyone else standing up for your rights.
