Courts and Education funding have a sketchy history in New Hampshire. Just say the word ‘Claremont,’ and the left’s eyes glow with adoration. You might even see a tear of joy. But not enough joy. So, the Left is at it again. Both in the legislature and the courts.
In the mid-1990’s, the town of Claremont pleaded poverty, insisting that the rest of the state should pony up more money to fund its local schools. The result was the imposition of a wealth-redistribution scheme on the rest of our state. A decade later, Claremont wasn’t looking so poverty-stricken after all.
Bill de Blasio was in New Hampshire Sunday for a panel discussion on mental health. Twenty people showed up. Fourteen of the twenty were on the panel. That means only six people showed up — one for each reporter who appeared to document the dismal showing.
