Night Cap: Another Bad Week for Big Green as Inconvenient Truths Come Callin’

Not everyone has been able to take advantage of the gobs of taxpayer money pouring between the seams to encourage the adoption of so-called green technologies. And it’s not because they aren’t truly green. Joe’s Build Back Better has beaten back business.

BLM Fist Money

Near Bankrupt BLM is (B)leeding (L)ots of (M)oney (Into the Pockets of Board Members)

The left built a movement on top of George Floyd’s dead body, then terrorized a nation to fund it. That worked. A handful of people became very wealthy. Democrat campaigns got flush with cash in an election year. And many black people discovered their lives didn’t matter to BLM.

American Federalism

American Federalism Put to the Test

We are about to find out whether American federalism is being put to the test or put to the sword. Illinois Democrats passed a state budget over the weekend.  It kind of makes you wonder why New Hampshire’s legislature is still flubbing around.

Democrat Leadership?

Democrat Leadership?

Have you ever read an article and just cringed. Well, recently there was an article which began with the statement that: “If there’s one thing the government is good at, it’s fixing massive crises.”

Arbitrary Wage Meddling Claims More Victims – Democrats Can’t Wait to Do that Here!

A few years ago, the unions told the Democrats they needed to push for an arbitrary $15.00 per hour minimum wage. We’ll take in more dues and give you more money. They all clicked their heels together and went to work. The fallout from this socialist experiment continues.

Ho, Ho, Ho… Medicare for All… Ho, Ho, Ho… Free Stuff for All

Free Health Care… Leftists are pushing ‘Medicare-for-all’. Sixteen senators publicly support Bernie Sanders’ vision of “Medicare-for-all.” Sanders’ bill, S.1804, was explicit about outlawing private health insurance. It will mandate participation in a government run system. The determination of what care would be available, to whom and when would be usurped by the federal government. The … Read more

Scouts BSA (Formerly The Boy Scouts of America) Files for Bankruptcy

The wussification of Boys has been one of the more successful progressive projects of our lifetime. A track that had the feminists dancing widdershins when the Boy Scouts of America gave an inch, then a mile. First, it was openly gay Scouts, then gay Scoutmasters, and then girls. And now bankruptcy.

Eileen, Eileen….EiLein….Ei Lein….Ei Lein….My Lein….Y Lein….I Lein….I Leins….IRS Leins….with a CACH

Steve’s post brought back the memory of hearing that song for the first time “Come On, Eileen” by the Dexys Midnight Runners.  No, nothing special was going on in my life (I am rather boring, mostly (as many of my critics are so eager to say)) at the time to associate it with something unique; I … Read more

Story About Leveling Reagan Chicago Apartment For Obama Library – “Utterly Inaccurate”

Obama Library not definitely going to be in chicagoland
Would Obama Library be safer in Beirut?

Maybe you heard the tale?   A Washington Times Communities article (also reported by Newsmax) suggested that the University of Chicago, which owns the Chicago apartment property of former President Ronald Reagan, was planning to demolish it to make way for a parking lot for the Obama Library.  According to the people dedicated to preserving that property, that is not true.

The claim published in Newsmax today and the Washington Times on Friday, re-posted in Drudge, that the University of Chicago is planning to demolish the Reagan home at 832 E. 57th Street to make way for a parking lot for the Obama Presidential Library is utterly inaccurate, according to informed sources in Hyde Park.

Which Utopian Democrat Dream-Scam Is Failing Faster?

Facepalm - Which Progressive Utopia will fail firstWhich Utopian dystopian Democrat dream-Scam is failing faster?

In Cah-Lee-Four-Knee-Ah the Workers paradise is collapsing at an ever increasing rate as the anchor of unsustainable public union contracts and pensions drag otherwise average, every-day, incompetently run, but barely sustainable left wing bureaucrapalities (bureaucratically strangled municipalities run by an endless string of administrators and political descendents of the Democrat bloodline) into bankruptcy.

In Obamaville, the chronically unemployed can look up from the gutters of Hopey-changey Way to watch the lights dim on an unending string of Solar Panel/Green Energy company failures as the DoE’s wasted-billions to prop up the Renewable Energy Utopia ding-bats like Jeanne Shaheen have oversight on, produce nothing but failure and rising debt service payments.

The missing link between these two is happily not missing.  And you cant blame George Bush.  These failures are both of products of Progressives, mostly Democrats, attempting to micromanage labor, its type, direction, output, and value.

It’s Not Easy Being Green…

In a profanity strewn diatribe before the Aspen Institute, Gore said mean things about scientists who must be on the payroll of some arch-nemesis bent on brainwashing everyone into letting the evil genius destroy the planet. This, as opposed to all the “scientists” (economists, journalists, confidence men) who have been hiding the decline or crowding out dissent to keep the billions in taxpayer dollars rolling in to keep them “on message.”

Wisconsin Protesters

To the Editor:

Many of the people protesting on Saturday don’t even understand what they are doing.  They talk about “Worker’s Rights” (which I support).  But they have been duped into protesting for public sector  “Union rights”, the right of unions to conspire with politicians against the interests of the American people.

President Franklin Roosevelt said it was wrong to unionize government  workers because they are supposed to serve the public.  He was right.  The public sector was unionized about 50 years ago.  Unionization has led to union leaders and politicians creating an increasing number of safe, easy and often low value, well paid unionized employees whose union dues are funneled back to the politicians.  It is a vicious cycle.  Politicians are supposed to represent the people, but they ignore the good of the people to reward their union supporters.  This is corruption pure and simple.
