As the Western World drives mindlessly into the fantasy of a false green energy future, shortages are a common topic of discussion—blackouts in the frigid winter, brownouts in the heat of summer. You’d be right to ask.
This summer, we are expecting electrical issues, so get your generator tuned up and your fuel tank filled. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), the group which monitors our electricity grid, says get ready for blackouts and brownouts all across America.
Aside from the hundreds of billions in misguided government support, wind power doesn’t have much going for it. It is not clean or green. It kills bats, birds, and now whales. And in Scotland, they’ve had to admit that without diesel generators to warm and back up the turbines, they might work at all.
Fifty-five years ago, the State of Vermont became the first in the nation to ban roadside billboards. I didn’t know that, but now that I do, celebrating the “accomplishment” – and they are – given the current direction of state energy policy is ridiculous.

Switzerland imports most of its energy from European neighbors. If you’ve been paying attention, the “neighbors” are preparing for shortages and blackouts, so there’s little or nothing left for Switzerland to buy. So, what to do? The Swiss have a plan—COVID-like lockdowns without the internet or television.

Vermont has locked in on the California Cobb up-the-backside Electric Vehicle/emissions reduction plan. By 2035 you won’t be able to buy or register a new gas-powered vehicle in the state. All new vehicles will be electric which is a problem for a host of reasons.
To borrow from Forrest Gump, stupid is as stupid does, but that’s not all there is to say about California’s Vehicle emissions standards or why Vermont and Massachusetts (along with 15 other states) are poised to adopt them and an Electric Vehicle mandate.
Eversource, that woke energy company that just raised our electric rates 110% (more on that here), has been quick to jump into offshore wind projects across the northeastern seaboard. But now they say they might sell some or all of their stake in these projects.
