My second thought after hearing about Prince Charles’s remarks on US beef consumption–I won’t share the first, it’s not proper–was “where is the nearest cheeseburger?” The cheeseburger is perhaps the most perfect culinary delight ever conceived.
A Glass of Kool-Aid With Jackie Cilley

Former State Senator Jackie Cilley waxed in awe(Union Leader – “Another View”) when President Obama addressed the nation late Sunday Night to tell us Bin Laden was dead. Cilley writes, “This is the essence of leadership and courage, lest we forget what it looks like. It also sharply contrasts this man and the current crop of contenders for his job.” Little more than a disquisition of gushery, Cilley suggests Obama is the essence of leadership and the Republican candidates are a bunch of pedestrian neddle-nosed light-weights.
And while Jackie made quick work of diving into the all-too-typical topically boring, class-warfare laden template of caricaturing GOP hopefuls as money-grubbing wind bags, she rounds out her observations with a slaps at all things antithetical to rank liberalism. Rounding out her diatribe with some “Blame Bush” doctrinal morsels, as a true partisan will do, Jackie seems to be suggesting that Democrat campaign money comes from hard working folks and not the like of Move-on, George Soros or any of the other Kool-Aid drinking commie-libs. Oh No, that never happens, Does it, Jackie?
Yet, while taking some partisan shots at, “The Donald,” RINO Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachman and Tim Pawlenty, Jackie suffers from selective and acute amnesia failing to remember her own darling community organizer’s light-weight bumblings. Remember when Obama told voters in Beaverton Oregon about his visits to “57 States.” And, while addressing voters in Pennsylvania, he quipped, “It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations…”
My all time favorite is the National Prayer Breakfast bumble February of last year, where he repeatedly mispronounced, Navy Corpsman (Cor-man) not just once, but four times saying, “Corpse-man”.
Finally, this knee-slapper: “My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.”
So when Jackie finally finishes throwing mud at the Tea Party, the Birthers, Republicans and Bush, she extols the virtues of Obama with, “Every element of the mission that brought down bin Laden speaks to the character of the man who bore the ultimate responsibility for its failure if not its success…” Now that, is just plain-old Sheep manure.
RGGI Must Die!!
The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative is a Tax. It is broad based, affecting every aspect of our lives. And it is a tax beyond our constitutional control. These added costs, this tax, is set outside the state and can be affected by third parties and secondary markets, none of whom answer to any elected or appointed official in that we can elect or remove form office. No one will ever get to testify at a hearing before any of these actors moves to increase our taxes; they will simply go up with the cost of credits sold through RGGI.
All Hail King Reggie (RGGI)
…you can make excuses, legislate give backs that will only grow the taxpayer funded bureaucracy to manage them, tie our exit to yet another outside power (like some other state), or just bend over and kiss King Reggies….ring. Yes. All hail king Reggie. Long may he tax us without fear of retribution.
For Repeal of RGGI
This morning NHPR had a program on RGGI. Senator Peter Bragdon spoke for keeping RGGI and Representative Jim Garrity spoke for repeal. I tried to call and comment but didn’t get on the air. They suggested that I send in my comments, so I sent the comments below. Some of my comments are reactions to Peter Bradgon’s comments supporting RGGI.
"I am for repeal of RGGI.
1. We have plenty of energy in this country in the form of coal and gas, and even oil if the government would let us get it. We do not need to import fuel from countries that want to kill us to generate the electricity we need. My understanding is that gas can be relatively easily burned in oil fired energy plants, we have lots of natural gas.
2. It is hard to believe that wood pellets burn more cleanly than oil or certainly than gas. While I understand the desire to buy locally, they should compete like other fuels.
3. If energy efficiency is beneficial to people, governments, businesses, etc., then why do the rest of us have to subsidize it for them?
Clear thinking and straight talk from one of New Hampshire’s best State Senators….

Elvis, Osama bin Laden, and Jim Morrison Walk Into A Baskin Robbins….
As a rule, the lefts interest in photographs of the dead are limited to political hits on opponents, or moody propaganda pieces for the anointed one. (Obama honors war dead–look, see–pictures.) So can releasing the pictures of an ex-Osama provide some political advantage today?
I feel comfortable stating right out front that I don’t think they’ll show us any pictures unless Obama looks as if he’ll lose in 2012. They will make excuses and hem and haw, to intentionally create another conspiracy theory; that Osama is being held on the same sound stage where we faked the moon landing–or…something like that.
And they will do it because the political distraction of pictures unseen, and a death unconfirmed, dragged out for months or years, has the potential to create a "deather" movement that can be used to distract the American people from a larger problem; high unemployment, rising inflation, and the return of stagflation and the misery index. At least in theory. Mr. Obama does need all the misdirection he can get, and any situation that pits his word against that of others, where no hard evidence exists to refute him, fuels the mission statement and puts meat on the bones of the narrative; his detractors are a bunch of wacky racists looking for a reason to smear Dear Leader.
So a photograph, like a birth certificate which exists but that has only been confirmed by reputable sources, is the perfect foil for the legions of cynics who realize that most everything that comes from the mouths of this Executive branch are more like the words of Satan; if not outright lies, they are half truths riddled with omissions, and always with a shelf life. No "body," hidden pictures…even the most pragmatic person will feel inclined towards doubt.

Bin Laden is dead & Liberals Are Being…Hypocrites–Surprise!
They make it easy, and Bin Laden is no different. Their hypocrisy emanates from them like the stench of stale sweat. So it is impossible to give them any credit because we all know that the only reason Osama’s death was made public late on a Monday night was because someone probably leaked it; this Executive branch does nothing without first plotting out the political ramifications and optimizing the benefits; it’s why it often takes them days to respond to any event.
So Osama is dead. Go team. But will we stay the course to get the rest fo them? Probably not. So what better time than now to remind ourselves about the hypocrisy; and we look no further than MoveOn.org (H/T to Ace of Spades) and the democrats who ran adds attacking Republicans for politicizing 9/11 and Bin Laden.
