In a world where liberals view the constitution as a, “living document”, whereby the meaning changes with the (downward spiraling) values of the nation at large, it is no wonder that so many contorted meanings emerge regarding the second Amendment.
And who can blame them? Our second amendment is the very antithesis to

Now a third firearms company, York Arms, is saying that what is bad for civilians is going to be bad for Government entities and Law Enforcement agencies in New York due to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s new law (hey, he was all but frothing at the mouth to get this, so let him own it!) that all but eliminates gun usage / ownership (when there are no mags that fit the law AND the guns in New York, you have effectively killed the Second Amendment in NY – for now). Buxton, ME –(Ammoland.com)- Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York.
We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York.
As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.

All we wanted was to simply see the November 6, 2012 checklist from the City of Portsmouth, NH. Is that such a crime? Not really , but when a CNHT pal went to Portsmouth City Hall to look up a name on the checklist, the answer was that the checklist had too much personal information on it for public review so, sorry, NO!
I wasn’t aware that checklists in Portsmouth, NH were so secretive.
The NH Secretary of State’s Office must be behind the times regarding the new law in Portsmouth. They still think checklists are public.
Just last year I did a CNHT Voter Fraud Workshop at the library in Portsmouth and a whole crew of Portsmouth election officials showed up. Like many other election officials they will parrot the line that there is no voter fraud in New Hampshire. And Portsmouth, being a very liberal city, should know about that, right?

The speculation about why the US Department of Homeland Security would want to buy another 1.6 billion (with a b) rounds of ammunition over the next few years as been ‘enthusiastic’-if not just creepy at times, but worry not, they have put the issue to rest.
The Homeland Security Department wants to buy more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the next four or five years. It says it needs them — roughly the equivalent of five bullets for every person in the United States — for law enforcement agents in training and on duty.
The article goes on to tell us that they spend about 15 million rounds annually on training. Just for perspective during the Iraq war the US military used about 70 million if the rumors are true. It looks like the pre-Obama military (in response to the needs of the global war on terror) were placing its orders in the 100 million rounds a year range, though I suspect that figure is a bit soft. And if you want more perspective, even if DHS and its associated agencies used up 20 million rounds a year on practice fun and friends it would take them 80 years to use up the 1.6 billion rounds they’ve requested.
Democrats can’t even write a budget for the next 12 months, why is Obama’s DHS contracting ammo purchases to cover the rest of the century?
What the hell? I’ve been swamped this passed week and haven’t been able to pay attention to the world as closely as I should. I just ran ocular first into this Washington Time’s headline: “White House: All questions answered on Benghazi attack”

We’ve oft heard the plaint of folks that say “How can this be? We are the richest nation in the world!” and rush to spend others people money to make themselves feel like they are “doing something”. Yup, we used to be able say that: we were the richest nation in the world – the richest in history. Still are on a national level – but not on a governmental level with the official debt at about $16.5 Trillion (over 100% of our yearly GDP) and an off the books unofficial of over $100 Trillion in unmet promises for future entitlement payments (what, you really think that the Government would hold itself to the same accounting standard as it does to corporations?) thanks to chuckleheads like those in DC.
Obama said as much this last State of the Union – and conservatives immediately started pocking holes. Progressives like Nancy Pelosi and her second in command, Steny Hoyer have made utterances to say similar things. Add to that, retiring US Senator Tom Harkin – same tired “richest” and same tired “fair share”. Problem is, though, he lets the Progressive cat out of the bag at the end of the video:

Fergus Cullen…former incompetent, do-nothing, New Hampshire Republican party chair periodically takes to the commentary pages of the Union Leader, bestowing upon us his pearls of wisdom about all things, “Republican,” while eschewing the underlying foundational principles that once defined the Republican Party.

Again I repeat – yeah, it could be thought that the ‘Grok has been turning into a gunblog. Well, mebbee so; mebbee not. While all of us Groksters are shooters and own firearms, firearms really are just the symptom – to us, it is the Principle of the matter that counts. We see Government overstepping its bounds that were laid down by the Founders – and we need to point out those PEOPLE that actually are doing it.
