Why is non-college-attending NH College Republican Federation Chairman Jake Wagner still on NH GOP E-Board?

UNH College Republicans call on self-proclaimed “Radical RINO” NH College Republican Federation Chairman Jake Wagner to resign for violating Federation Constitution regarding college enrollment.

Jake Wagner with AxelrodCaveat – I’ve met Jake Wagner (there on the left with Obama’s David Axelrod on right).  Now, he didn’t come up to me and proclaim himself to be a “Radical RINO” (but it is in his Twitter feed) but he certainly came across as one of those “I’m a Republican Republican because I’m a Republican” the couple of times I’ve tried to “debate” issues important to the Republican base.  He certainly doesn’t like Conservatives that quote both the Platform and the NH Constitution (or the US one either) as a basis of what can be done or what should be done politically.  His face would screw up like a prune, his arms flap like one of those “air guys” you’d see flapping in front of a car dealer, and he just couldn’t seem to stop “SIGHing” as I was speaking – but  couldn’t seem to refute what I or others would pose to him.  Just pieces of paper “for show” is the what I got from him.

Figures.  Looks like he’s decided to disobey the rules under which he was elected – his previous actions seem to give this that came over the transom a bit more ring of truth – looks like I’ll be following up on this myself.

Note: if it is wrong, Jake is certainly able to put up a guest post here or even come on GrokTALK! to discuss – he has been invited!

In fact, he has not responded to the email listed on the NH GOP E-Board page.  So, let’s look at this a bit, shall we?

Bedford’s Sally Thomas – Smear Machine

The nasty politics of Bedford, NH are well known to anyone ever involved in that municipality.  So as can be expected, the editorial hit squad gets started on Aaron Day who is running for Bedford School Board.

Someone named Sally Thomas is on the hunt with a few impressions as opposed to facts while using the Bedford Journal as an outlet.

Here is Sally’s S.T.E. (smear to the editor):

I question Bedford School Board candidate Aaron Day’s integrity Thursday, February 27, 2014 To the Editor: I watched the School Board debate on BCTV on the night of Feb. 20. I question Aaron Day’s integrity. He claimed to have been able to “place out” of 1.5 years of Duke University due to his AP classes in high school and implied he graduated in 2.5 years.

Two Sununus Oppose Medicaid Expansion in NH

medicade- Looks refreshing, but always comes back to haunt you laterIf you search “Medicaid” in that search bar in the top right corner of the page, you will find a wealth of information (exposition, links, and so one) as to why we should not expand Medicaid in New Hampshire.  (Just two days ago we had a great discussion with Jenn Coffey about it on GrokTALK!)

If that is not enough reason, how about this?  Michael and James Sununu, yes those Sununu’s, have penned an excellent summation of the current situation; why we should not be expanding Medicaid in NH, and why Republicans of all people, in the State Senate in particular, should not be leading on expansion.  Here’s a snippet.

Supporters of expansion say we have to reduce the uninsured population. They argue the cost of the uninsured is too high and by insuring them through the government (albeit through taxpayer support for private insurance premiums) we will lower the overall cost of health care. Except available evidence shows us it doesn’t work. Maine expanded Medicaid coverage in 2002 for the same reason, but it was a huge failure. Before expansion, 12 percent of their population was uninsured. After Medicaid expansion? Still, 12 percent uninsured. Markets adjust when government gets more involved, so while Medicaid rolls expanded, private insurance rolls fell, costing taxpayers and businesses more money.

Where’s The Gaystapo When You Need Them?

Full court press on Arizona Bill that didn’t actually do anything to gays.  Full court press when just one of many bakeries (photographers, florists, etc) is uncomfortable providing a service for a gay wedding – must put them out of business.  Iran kills some gay men…nothing. FBI.gov Releases 2014’s Ten Most Dangerous Cities

“I’ll vote for whoever is the Democrat. That’s all I need to know.”  —Seth Rogen

Democrat-CorruptionAs with my previous posts on the topic, FBI.gov tracks crime statistics based on property and violent crimes. For 2013, the numbers are in. We have this year’s list of ten most violent cities in America. They are as follows:

  1. Camden, NJ
  2. Flint MI
  3. Detroit MI
  4. Oakland, CA
  5. St. Louis, MO
  6. Cleveland, OH
  7. Gary, IN
  8. Newark NJ
  9. Bridgeport, CT
  10. Birmingham, AL

There are…in order of most dangerous…meaning violence and

Let’s be Honest About Who Is Suppressing Votes in New Hampshire

voted-by- mail vote absentee in your own stateThe majority of vote suppression in New Hampshire is caused by Democrats harboring and/or encouraging non-residents to vote here instead of where they actually live, thereby suppressing the electoral voice of actual residents whose votes are erased as a result.  The Democrat’s suppression of your votes is wide-spread, and their commitment to suppressing your will can be seen in their defense of non-resident voters.

Their single largest non-resident voting block is college students forced to pay out-of-state tuition by, you guessed it, Democrats.  (The second is OFA activists–professional campaign grifters.)  Anyone who dare suggest we not allow these non-residents to vote in New Hampshire is accused of vote suppression.

The problem with the Democrat’s vote suppression argument is that it is lie and thanks to an Obama For America Organizing for America Organizing for Acorn activist from South Carolina, who voted absentee in New Hampshire in November 2012, we get to make the point again.

Amherst Republican Town Committee Opposes Medicaid Expansion

NH-GOP_logoThe list of local NH-GOP committee’s against Medicaid expansion is growing.  I don’t have a complete list, but here is the most recent one to cross my desk.

At the monthly meeting of the Amherst Republican Town Committee, held earlier today, the following resolution was passed unanimously.
The New Hampshire Republican Party, State Senate, and State House leadership have been informed, as the resolution requires.

RESOLUTION OPPOSING MEDICAID EXPANSION
The following Resolution was adopted by vote of the Amherst Republican Committee members at a regular meeting of this body, on Saturday, March 1, 2014:

How Many Days Until He Is Gone?

No matter how hard Barack Hussein Obama can ever shake his Nobel Peace Prize at Vlad the Putin, not that he would be so bold, foreign policy is not something the other kids and Barry hanging out in the Harvard student lounge ever grasped – or ever will. Fundamentally changing, apologizing for, and punishing America … Read more

Russia Seizes Part of Ukraine – Obama Skips National Security Meeting

Is it still Obama’s National Security Team if it meets and Obama is never there?

Great question, because they met to talk about the situation with Russia and the Ukraine and Obama was too busy to attend.  But don’t worry.  According to “sources” he has been briefed by Susan ” it was a YouTube Video” Rice, and oh–the Russian Millitary has ‘Officially’ Seized the Crimea. (see also..)

There’s a voting present joke in here someplace.

And the left’s ears must be bleeding… Sarah Palin was right.

Yes, I could see this one from Alaska. I’m usually not one to Told-Ya-So, but I did, despite my accurate prediction being derided as “an extremely far-fetched scenario” by the “high-brow” Foreign Policy magazine. Here’s what this “stupid” “insipid woman” predicted back in 2008: “After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.”

Democrats Even Think Democrats are Mindless Drones

DemocratDonkeyOnce again I must admit some embarrassment– and for the second time in just a few short days, no less. As a conservative, I find myself in the strange embarrassing position of finding myself in complete agreement with the left and the Democrats on a view point.

If you are like me and think that the left and Democrats are unthinking drones, willing to blindly carryout the order of their masters, akin to cattle marching to the slaughter, you’ll be interested to hear that the Democrat leadership thinks so as well. From the Democrat party website (h/t Charles C.W. Cooke, emphasis mine):

If you’ve ever told your Republican uncle how Obamacare helps your community, replied to a nasty chain-email with a link to a well-researched article, or kept a picture of the President’s birth certificate on your phone to whip out at a moment’s notice, then you’re already a Factivist.

Democrats succeed when people on the ground are empowered with information (we’ll take care of that part)

Notable Quote – Edmund Phelps

Medicaid Expansion – here’s some ammo for the Republican grassroots Rebellion

Over at the Republican Liberty Caucus of NH was this request for info:

Windham GOP is considering their Medicaid resolution on the night Chuck Morse is their guest speaker

Senator Chuck Morse, prime sponsor of the medicaid expansion bill, will be at a special Windham Republican Committee meeting this Tuesday, March 4th at 6pm. We’re supposed to debate the merits of medicaid expansion. Any hard-hitting talking points you can recommend?

So I offered a few questions that could be asked:

WHY are you doing this? Is it really to merely take it off the table politically to smooth the way for re-election (like Boenher & boys did in DC with the debt ceiling)?

Is getting re-elected worth advancing the Democrat agenda by getting Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion implemented in NH? Isn’t that rather selfish: career before Party?

WHY is the Federal money going to go “off-budget”? Does that mean that the STate of NH will have no oversight?

Palate Cleanser – harmonies time!

I am a sucker for a good a cappella group and one of my favorite shows on network TV (“The Sing Off”).  Pentatonix won an early season (am hoping it will return) and have a great video out covering “Say Something” by Christine Agularia: (H/T: The Blaze)

I know that those in politics try to rewrite history all the time…

Grokster Scott had this post about mindless Democrat drones; let me take a snippet from it: …Democrats succeed when people on the ground are empowered with information (we’ll take care of that part) and are mobilized to get that information out to their communities… Er, there can be a price to be paid if one … Read more

That shows what the members think – but not the Leaders

NH GOP Republican State CommitteeI had posted a snippet from DiStaso a few days ago (“You’re Dreaming“, reformatted here):

“State GOP chair Jennifer Horn told us today, “There is a healthy debate about the Senate’s health care compromise taking place among Republicans. This sort of debate and discussion within a political party is natural and nothing new.As we’ve always done, I am confident that come November, Republicans will unite behind our candidates and rally around our fiscally responsible solutions to address the difficult issues facing our state and our nation,” she said.

What I didn’t do was to take note of at the time was this (emphasis mine, reformatted):

In Concord, the state Republican Party executive committee discussed the local resolutions at a recent meeting, but no motion or resolution was brought up for a vote, according to Manchester GOP chair Simmons who is a member of the state party executive committee.  Simmons said the consensus was “that the best way to get our message out to the senators would be that it come from the individual committees.“

And there’s a problem with that.
