Blogline of the Day – the hypocrisy of Hollywood is unbelievable

OK, two lines at once but the description of “The Shape of Water” is hysterical! When the guy who hosted the breast-obsessed ‘Man Show’ appears onstage with an NBA player once accused of rape to give awards to people who spent decades doing business with Harvey Weinstein — you know Hollywood has gotten serious about … Read more

Windham High School’s National Walk-Out Day Agenda

ENOUGH_FB_BANNER_02Stephen M. Sierpina, the Principal of Windham High School, sent out a letter outlining the school’s plans for Wednesday, March 14th. That’s supposed to be a nation-wide school walkout day to inspire Congress to pass stricter gun laws.

Dumb.

Anyone with two non-ideological brain-cells to rub together knows that criminals don’t follow laws and this walk-out is just another in a long series of stunts to disarm law-abiding Americans.

Gun Rally, Gun Bills, Guns, Guns, Guns.

Susan Olsen returns with an update on SB500, a Bill to clean up firearms language in state statute and there’s a gun rally this week. Tune in for the details. And…the segment is just over 10 minutes so that little blurb of audio way out there at 11 1/2 minutes is just a bubble of … Read more

Notable Quote – Frank J Fleming

“Difference between Nazi and Communist is when you say how horrible Nazis have been, they don’t say “Well, real Nazism has never been tried.” -Frank J. Fleming And we all know that true Communism has been as well – and failed every time because it fails to recognize true human nature.  Progressives (proto-communists) fail to … Read more

We’ve already done that – Progressives, now it’s your turn

National Reciprocity would be a good start.  After all, those who hold CCW licenses (pistol/revolver license here in NH) have been shown to be many times more law abiding than police; how much safe do you want to get?  And I’ve never seen the “rivers of blood in the streets” that the anti-Constitution folks scream … Read more

Pine Tree Ramblings – Vol 6

Most of us have been arguing with Liberals lately about guns. We have the facts and statistics, showing how minuscule these mass-shootings are in relation to overall murders, they have the drama and emotion, choosing not to listen to or accept any of our logical constructs (I’ve come to the conclusion that, in addition to … Read more

Lawsuits Lining Up for a Shot at Broward County Incompetence After School Shooting

ParklandGiven all the systemic failures on the gubbmint side of things, from federal programs to failed government agencies, to incompetent sheriffs, to inept deputies, lawsuits seemed inevitable.

Anthony Borges is considered one of the heroes of the Parkland shooting. The 15-year-old was shot twice in the torso and three times in the legs while trying to lock a door and protect other students. He then helped save his own life, using the knowledge he learned as a Boy Scout to create a tourniquet to slow his own bleeding. Yesterday, an attorney hired by the Borges family announced it would file a lawsuit against the school system and Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Given the size of the school, we should expect more of this. A lot more.

Windham WEA not only proves it’s not “for the children” but it’s only for the “rich” teachers as well

Windham WEA Collective bargaining step ratesFormer US Speaker of the House Tip O’Neal (D-MA) famously said of national politics “ALL politics is local”.  Early in ‘Grok history, we turned that around to “Politics: if it is happening here, it’s happening in your town, too” as we described some of the political machinations of our little hamlet and surrounding areas.  I’ve been blogging about Windham’s School Board (hi Rob Breton, Dennis Senibaldi!) for a bit now over their ramming of their Transgender policy down the conservative throats of the residents there – making transgender kids, a la the Democrat / Progressive / Socialist methods, a protected political class and wiping out any vestige of the Normal kids’ privacy rights.  Oh, they wrap it up in such delicate, smooth talking language but as I pointed out earlier, they then threaten anyone in the District that doesn’t toe their line about coerced speech.  More on that later.

So in the latest “contract” with the Windham School Board, the older, more experienced, and RICHER teachers decided to shive their younger, less experienced, and poorer teachers by grabbing all of the cash of the newest and bloated teachers contract.

Sidenote: That same group of adults (writ large) always couches their arguments in saying “it’s for the children” as if that covers all the holes in all of their arguments.  It is but one of the Political Correctness Sledgehammers that the Left uses to silence dissent of all kinds because that Sledgehammer comes smacking down into their PC Anvil if you even DARE to disagree called “What, you HATE CHILDREN??”.  It’s what they say when

The “Collusion against Trump” Timeline

20170402-russian-bear-obama-ben-garrison_origSharyl Attkisson has an impressive bit of research on her website that documents, if not all, most of the major points in the Collusion Story timeline. It begins in 2011 if you can believe that when the Obama Admininstration expanded domestic surveillance to include,

“…storing and entering into a searchable database sensitive intelligence on U.S. citizens whose communications are accidentally or “incidentally” captured during surveillance of foreign targets.”

Yes We Scan became one of many Obama scandals over the years and just happens to be the starting point for an escapade that includes the DNC, intelligence agents, complicit media, foreign intelligence officials, lobbyists, industrialists, WikiLeaks, the Clinton Foundation, and yes, Russia.

Duke’s Garage update: Just The Map Ma’am, Just The Map

john-winslow-new-boston-property-1515799092As you may have read, the Town of New Boston is once again trying to put Duke’s Garage out of business by any means possible, that means ZONING. And with zoning, a town can simply bankrupt anyone without the financial means to defend themselves. This is exactly what is going on in this instance.

You would think in a case involving property rights, facts matter, but you would be wrong. Remember, the courts in New Hampshire is not what you would call taxpayer friendly.

Now the Bishop Wants Your Guns

Manchester Bishop wants your gunsBy Jim Kofalt

Several days ago we reported on Bishop Peter Labasci’s appeal for Catholics to call Congress to ask for amnesty for illegal aliens and the continuation of chain migration policies (because it’s your duty as a Christian, he says).

Now the Diocese of Manchester is joining the call for gun control:

GrokTALK! Episodes Updated

GrokTALK! 300 x 250Spreaker made some changes during our hiatus that I have just discovered. I thought I was embedding each episode but I was actually embedding the player, which updates to the latest episode.

If you listen on Stitcher, Spreaker, iTunes, TuneIn, iHeart, GooglePlay or the Grok Podcast page, you won’t have noticed any difference. But until today, all the players on all the episodes on the blog side were wrong.

I just fixed that. I’m also linking to all of them here in case you wanted to listen and missed out because I screwed up the embedding.

NH Democrats Seek to Ban Rifles for 18-20-Year-Old Granite Staters

guncontroldems

Today, in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Democrats wanted to suspend the rules to introduce new gun control legislation that would ban 18-20-year-old law-abiding Granite Staters from purchasing or possessing rifles.

It seems Democrats don’t want young people to be able to protect themselves, all because of the actions of one teen-aged psychopathic murderer. Apparently, to New Hampshire Democrats, all 18-20-year-old Granite State adults should be treated like psychopathic murderers and denied their fundamental human right of self-defense to protect themselves from actual psychopathic murderers:

BlogQuestion of the Day – if not thou, why not me?

“TTAG’s resident war hero Jon Wayne Taylor had the appropriate response to this line of thinking in today’s Question of the Day: when it comes to an active shooter, if trained law enforcement officers paid to protect the general public won’t intervene, who will?“ Remember, in 2005 the Supremes ruled that police DON’T have to … Read more

background checks for voting and immigration

After all, Progressives believe that anyone with a gun is a menace to society right from the get-go even after decades of provable law-abiding status.

So why shouldn’t the Right feel the same about what some of these folks coming from outside our borders?

Part 4 – And now to wrap up the Donna Sawyer from Windham troll story

Donna Sawyernice site you got there; would be a shame if something were to happen to it

OK, I’m late on finishing this story – see Parts one, two, and three. To recap, just about the time that we put up a post –  Windham School Board Approves Unconstitutional “BATHROOM BILL” Policy – and as I said then, the timing was uncanny as she decided, like a lot of Progressives try to do, to attack a revenue source that conservatives use to fund their work.  It was as if she was trying to Alinsky us (trust me, Ms. Sawyer, far better people have tried to do that than you). The innuendo was that we were “illegal” because some people were too stupid (in her eyes) to figure out that clicking on the Amazon et al widgets on our sidebar might, just MIGHT, put a coin or two into the ‘Grok’s pocket.  My response was:

We don’t do product reviews, haven’t done “paid posts” for years, we don’t put “buy now” buttons anywhere, we don’t do product endorsements, we don’t do links in posts to marketeers.

But was she satisfied with that?
