I’m not picking sides in CD-1 (on the Republican side), but the race is still interesting. When Levi Sanders hinted at and then promptly entered that race a day later as a Democrat I think he did so with the number one seed. He’s the guy to beat. And he’s just like Dad, or maybe worse – which to Democrats means better.

Is that a boon to the Republican nominee; because every Democrat in the CD-1 field will have to crawl over each other to get to the left of Levi, a nearly impossible task, not that they aren’t already trying.

In hearing and reading the stories of how school administration and teachers were supportive of what turned out to be lots of, not “school safety” protests, but of “turn it up to 11” political rallies by middle and high school kids who seemingly know jack about our country’s political and philosophical history, the idea that a Right is not granted by Government, and aided, abetted, organized, and financed by the Left’s civilian disarmament battalions, the image above fits.

Really, after the snarling, F-bomb, cursing interviews all around the themes that THEY are in charge (and adults are stupid – gee, where’d they get THAT from??), I’m believing that charter schools, private schools, religious schools, and homeschooling rates are going to soar as parents determined “not MY little bundle of joy and angst.”

Democrats are using underage mules to advance their disarmament agenda which will only get more kids killed but then, that’s all any Democrat gun-ban policy does. Get people killed. Or mugged, assaulted, raped, or robbed.

The only “safety” in progressive public safety policy is their safety from regular Americans when those policies fail.

We know they fail. Ninety-Eight percent of mass-shootings occur in gun-free zones, and the left’s answer is to make more of them by passing laws no criminal will ever follow. That’s why you need deterrence. Public knowledge that force can and will be met with force immediately and until the threat is neutralized.

Israel took the defense of their school kids seriously 40-years ago and it worked. So instead of marching children out to regurgitate political rhetoric that will result in more blood and bodies, American policymakers should stop trying to infringe on our constitutional rights and take notes.

This has got to be about one of the stupidest ideas I’ve heard yet – akin to “we have to destroy the village to save it” (or Bush’s “”I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system”). The district has about 2,700 students at three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

Another legislative session, another attempt to pass a casino bill fails. Don’t worry; it will be back again “tomorrow” which is to say next session and every session after that until it passes, which it did not in 2018.

D’Allesandro exhorted his colleagues in the Senate to make 2018 the year that his proposal would finally go through, vowing that he would not be bringing it forth again. But the longtime legislator, who began his public service in the state House in 1974, was thwarted once again as it failed on an 11-10 vote.

I find it interesting that the Progressive folks who have managed to take one-third of the seats in our little town’s Budget Committee now believe that they control the purse strings and will be dictating to the other 8 members how we’re all going to be voting to greatly increase spending (and taxes), particularly on the school side of the budget.

Mike and I had a discussion last night (listen here) about a potential problem with Omnibus bills that can be summed up like this.

1. Congress allocates money to be spent. The President spends the allocated money.

2. Once Congress allocates money, their job is oversight of the money being spent. They don’t spend the money and have no say HOW it gets spent as long as it’s spent legally. That’s their job to monitor with oversight.

I am not surprised – what started out as a movement for “school safety” has now been politicized and turn into “gun bans tinged with gun control” fantasy land for the Left.  “Finally, we have our TEA Party” they must be congratulating themselves over.  A Marxist Childrens Crusade, they believe – they’ll try to ride this pony onward and upwards, my comrades!  I guess they forget what a disaster the original one turned out to be – absolute slaughter.  And the chief drama students that they groomed (e.g., David Hogg) will soon be in a lot of campaign commercials (IF the GOP has the smarts to do so).  Already, gun sales are heading upward once again.

TMEW was listening while I was watching this video taken yesterday from the “March of Ignorance” in DC.  OK, all of the usual Leftist groups that organized and monetized middle and high school kids actually named it “March for Our Lives”.  Problem is they have no idea of what they are marching for.  Go ahead, listen to the part about “assault weapons / rifles”:

Now, that’s pretty bad.  Worse are the kids that are fine with banning all guns. Worst of all were the ones saying that the Second Amendment was outdated and from another time. Who teaches them this?  Do they really know their own American history?  Do they even know just general history and how the majority of governments through time have been totalitarian – the reason we have the Second Amendment and Article 2-A in the first place?

Today, several left-wing organizations in New Hampshire and Maine held a gun control rally in Portsmouth’s Market Square. The rally was part of a larger Astroturf movement (paid gun grabbers) across the country for people to demand the government take their rights away.

The irony is that it was “The Resistance Seacoast” who were headlining the event in Portsmouth. The very same women who want to “resist Trump” because they believe he is so vile that they feel “unsafe” yet are demanding he take their fundamental human right to self-defense away. It seems to be lost on the crowd in attendance.

Gun control addicts ascended upon “Red Square” from Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It was quite the sight, including all the Portsmouth Police Officers who were armed and protecting the First Amendment rights of the protesters.

If President Donald Trump wants to re-establish his credibility when it comes to budgets, he can do one simple thing – right now.

Hold a press conference and let every department head and member of Congress know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will never vote for another omnibus spending bill.

That simple promise will force the Federal Government to put twelve individual appropriation bills to a vote.

It would be like a twelve-part, individual opportunity to review and pass, or veto, each appropriation as our system of congressional spending operated in the past.

In New Hampshire, our Secretary of State cannot define a person’s domicile or residence. It is a matter of “intent” he claims. Our courts are no different. The justices have determined, using some dictionary they have not made public, that anyone can have a voting domicile in NH as long as it is in their mind. See Guare v. NH.

New Hampshire has set up a very elaborate system of same-day voting laws which allow anyone, without any identification, to vote in a New Hampshire General Election and simply disappear moments later. That vote is as “legal” as any other. It is known as a “super-enfranchised” New Hampshire vote.
