So few governors with access to such Kingly Pandemic Powers refused to use them. Those few who showed restraint are to be congratulated but Chris Sununu is not among them.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely (which Sununu, Cuomo, Newsom, Whitmer, and others have shown).
These self-proclaimed “your Majesties” pat themselves on the back but never realized (or, most likely) never cared about what they have done to American norms of Freedom in their facile race to proclaim “It’s For the PUBLIC GOOD!”
Sununu made that his rallying cry: Public Health trumps Everything”!
But how does one know for whom to vote, or who, having proclaimed their “virtue” is to protect freedom while campaigning, but turn against their voters at the first opportunity?
It is not easy to find someone that can do the job but yet doesn’t want it because they realize such Power is so corrosive to their souls – and then to ours.
But we must.
