The Democrats threw white middle-class workers under the bus in 2016, and it cost them an election. But you learn from your mistakes, or maybe you’re too damn smart to learn anything. That would be Democrats, who pissed of the police unions already and have now turned off a 3 million-member trade union.

Joe Biden has claimed that his energy policy, which would end fracking and coal, will not destroy jobs. That he will seamlessly – with the help of trillions in new spending – retrain and shift that workforce to solar or other energy platforms. The Union is calling BS.
North America’s Building Trades Unions, a labor federation of 14 unions and three million members, … whose affiliates include the Teamsters and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers—released two surveys of workers and statistics that analyze jobs across the energy economy. They found that “both union and non-union” tradespeople report that oil and gas jobs “have better wages, benefits, and opportunities than renewables projects.”
One survey conducted interviews, focus groups and an online survey with some 1,700 union and non-union workers in energy jobs. Workers reported that oil and gas jobs were longer-term, resulting in steadier incomes and more consistent benefits. “With solar, you work your way out of a job. . . . Three months duration [then] you’re done,” explained one electrician. Workers also liked that there was “better project variety, skill development and project consistency.” The report emphasized that “skilled trade jobs are not highly interchangeable between industries.”
This matter is not limited to these 3 million union members. There are a lot of people and their families that are affected by this as well. Numerous other industries rely on these union workers and the energy industry either as suppliers of materials or who benefit downstream from existing jobs they have now.
In other words, this Green New Deal all or nothing transition to dirty solar (it’s not clean), will disenfranchise millions of blue-collar workers of all skin colors and millions of others. And that is before we get into the awful 18th century-like world promised by the Democrats energy plans for the future.
It’s like 2016 all over again.
And that’s a good thing.
