ABC Cancels GCB – Too Much Competition from DCB?

ABC Canceled GCB.  (That’s the family Friendly Disney/ABS’c short-lived controversial program about so-called Christian women who do not behave according the The Word.)  Who among us is without sin?  ABC certainly cannot claim otherwise.

While I’m sure GCB could have played well enough in the coast cities and liberal ghettos, it must–after all–be a show based on how Democrats actually approach the faith (you write what you know, yes?) no one else seems to have cared for it.  And why would they?  We already have the ugly version of this progran running 24/7 in DC called Democrat “Christian” Bitches (DCB).  (I’m not being sexist here–most of the ‘bitches’ in the Democrat party are actually men, and most if not all the of the “Christian” Democrats are simply hypocrites.)

Heh! I’ve been saying the same thing to TMEW this whole week….

Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals #5:

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon

I also ran across this:

“Our job is a much simpler one: Point and laugh at all of it. The contortions, the spins, the lies — they’re all so pathetically and rib-achingly funny. In three-plus decades of watching politics, I’ve never witnessed anything so desperately, hysterically funny.”

TMEW (The Most Esteemed Wife) has had to put up with peals of hilarity all week long as I have watched one attempt after another by the Obama campaign to gain traction.  My take has been “This isn’t even the Gang That Can’t Shoot Straight”, these guys are the “Guys Who Can’t Even Pick Up the Gun”.

At every turn of trying to demonize Romney and the Right (after all, that is what Community Organizers do – they can’t build themselves up, they can only tear down others) with what Romney may have done wrong, the Right has been able to rebut the argument with something even worse (e.g., Romney cut some kid’s hair in high school – Obama admits do doing cocaine).  Set up a Twitter hashtag?  Watch conservatives hijack it.  Watch the political event like North Carolina voting for a Constitutional amendment affirming traditional marriage?  Just hold up a mirror to the real haters on the Left as they drop their “tolerance” masks.

As good as the Obama campaign was in 2008 with him as the unpainted canvas on which to be painted everybody’s Hope, this one is as bad.  This is the result of when you outsource your own Presidency actions to others (i.e., let Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and the other Democrat Socialists put together Obamacare for universal healthcare, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to hamstring the financial sector, and the Green Environmentalists who wish to destroy the US Energy industry).

The other part of that above quote is after the jump:

GrokTV Special Interview: Rep. John Hikel for NH Senate – Question 8 – Created in the House but what happened in the Senate?

One of the very puzzling (and often, very frustating) things that has happened this session between the NH House and the NH Senate is the amount of bills passed by overwhelmingly by the supermajority of Republican in the House getting tabled or voted down by the supermajority of Republicans in the NH Senate.  GraniteGrok asked … Read more

Another Summer of Our Health Care Discontent

World Health Organization- organizing for socialized medicineIn all likelihood the US Supreme court will deal a mortal blow to Obama-care, the Patient Affordable Health Care and Socialism for All or Something Act before they go on recess for the summer.  Progressives being who they are, and seeing as this is an election year, will only view this as another opportunity to flog opponents and to pontificate in favor of whatever elements of the ‘plan’ they were told to tell you about the first time around.

But these are details that, as it turns out, were based on an ancient study (2000) by the World Health Organizers in the WHO whose mission it was to make socialized medicine look good.  So it behooves us to gird our loins with the armor of truth; that this major source of all those Health Care talking points is a fraud.

Picture of Air Show Disaster. Photo taken at moment of crash shows amazing detail….

This picture is tough to look at. It shows the dangers of attending these airshow events.  The photo shows the aircraft slamming into four buildings. The pilot flying at low level had obviously lost control over his aircraft, narrowly missing a nearby crowd about to enter the buildings. One can only imagine the horror of the occupants….

GrokTV Special Interview: Rep. John Hikel for NH Senate – Question 7 – Contrast the Occupy Wall Street movement with the TEA Party movement

Certainly two of the most talked about political movements of the last three years are Occupy Wall Street and TEA Party.  Pretty much the only thing that they agree upon is that the conflation of Big Government and Big Business has resulted is Crony Capitalism / State Corporatism – and vehemently disagree with the remedy.  … Read more

Yawn – Mainstream Media Reporter(s) lazily gets it wrong

Updated and bumped:  Well, another loyal reader caught another Union Leader reporter, Paul Feely, making the same lazy mistake (emphasis mine): The video shows what appears to be New Hampshire election officials handing ballots to unidentified men, who videotaped the exchanges with hidden cameras at polls in Manchester and Nashua. Plural: ballots, men.  I watched … Read more

New Hampshire’s SAU 21 Hooked A Double-Dipper

Public School Superintendents double dipping

Meet Robert M. Sullivan.  Mr Sullivan, at the age of 58 ( I believe),  ‘retired’ as the Superintendent of the Middleboro Massachusetts School District, where he was earning 128,000.00 per year.  But like many “retired” public school superintendents, he didn’t stay retired for very long.  He’s currently the Superintendent for the six schools that make up SAU #21 in  New Hampshire. (Hampton Falls, North and South Hampton, Seabrook and Winnacunnet Co-op.)

But he’s retired!

“Retired?” Retired, to a Superintendent means you have a new job lined up before you leave the job you retired from, which the retiring Sullivan did.  But while Mr. Sullivan is working in the Granite State he isn’t moving to New Hampshire permanently.  He and his wife are staying in Massachusetts.  Why?

…the out-of-state job will enable Robert M. Sullivan to collect his full Massachusetts pension, estimated to be in the range of $70,000 to $85,000, while also being paid for his new position.

Second Amendment humor, courtesy of the Concord Monitor!

Concord Monitor comes over to our side, approves concealed carry!

This is so funny!  What appears below is a column from today’s New Hampshire government-newspaper, the Concord Monitor. I glanced at the top of the top of the column and though “Hey, great! My friend—the excellent Rep. JR Hoell—has written an interesting piece about 2nd Amendment concealed carry for everyone!” So I happily read the excellent column…

Notable Quote – Dr. Arthur Brooks

What is free enterprise? It is the system of values and laws that respects private property and limits government, encourages competition and industry, celebrates achievement based on merit, and creates individual opportunity. Under free enterprise, people can pursue their own ends, and they reap the rewards and consequences, positive and negative, of their own actions. … Read more
