If you read part-1 of “Following the Trail from Sustainability to Tyranny“, you would have seen a list of “What If?” questions. The third question reads: “What If you could not grow a vegetable garden without a permit?“. Some people might say these are pie-in-the-sky questions, or conspiracy notions, simply because they are not necessarily happening today. Well, you’ve been warned!
Sometimes, you even have to laugh at political ads. This one, by American Crossroads, simply nails it on Joe “Gaffe-a-matic” Biden’s comment of “Put y’all back in chains” at an event with a large number of African-Americans:

Last of the three Candidates from Meredith speaking at Barbara Aichinger’s home (and the only non-incumbent of the three) was Herb Vadney. Although he has never been in the NH House, he has been a long time Selectman in Meredith and like the others, believes that while this past session has been a good start to undo the Democrats growing State government into Concord, growing the size of the budget, and growing the resulting Command and Control Leviathan; a return to Live Free or Die vs a Live under Govt and Wither:
There are a number of NH House races in which there are more Republicans running than there are seats to vy for in the general elections. In Laconia, the largest of such is in District 3 where the following are running:
- Don Flanders
- Bob Kingsbury
- Bob Luther
- Frank Tilton
- Ken DeShays (no show for the meeting)
Floyd Corkins II, of Hendron Virgina, walked in to the Family Rights Council offices in Washington DC and proceeded to shoot a security guard before the same guard subdued him (some reports say with help), preventing him from getting past the lobby of the building.
Corkins “had been volunteering at a community center for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people,” according to AP and CBS news. He is also reported to have shouted disagreements with the work the Christian group does before opening fire.
To their credit, Glaad, representing several gay rights groups, quickly released a statement condemning the shooting. The shooter is in custody, and no one was seriously injured in the incident, so the bigger story is the lack of wall to wall media coverage of a shooting in the heart of Washington DC.
There is a lovely new candidate survey being mailed out to New Hampshire candidates from the Concord Monitor. While most of the questions are loaded to demarcate the right left divide in state politics–have to make sure we know who the “TEA Party Extremists” are–one question in particular stood out.
“Do you support last year’s 50% cut in university Funding…”
House Speaker John Boehner took part in an interview with Fox News this week and one of the topics, invariably, was VP-pick, Paul Ryan. During the interview, Greta Van Susteren challenged Boehner about Ryan’s votes for TARP, the auto bailouts, and two 2008 stimulus programs, asking how, as a Conservative, he politically “sells that”.
Boehner responded with just about the stupidest, yet telling, remark possible…
“We are our brother’s keeper,” is frequently uttered by his Majesty, which often incites a racing chill up the spine of the unfortunate recipients of the utterance. The chill is especially acute to those who actually read the Bible. Characteristically, however, it’s meant to be taken figuratively and not literally. Or so it seems. Because when the brother of Obama is in a pinch, his Majesty cannot be found (he’s too busy on the 19th hole I suspect). Well, thank goodness there’s a conservatives who can lend an ear and a few bucks.

As we find ourselves more and more exposed to committee meetings, public meetings, and even private ones, particularly with bureaucrats, paper pushers, or local or state level government officials, this bit of news might come in handy.
It’s about the Delphi Technique. From Informed Citizens United
In group settings, the Delphi Technique is an unethical method of achieving consensus on controversial topics. It requires well-trained professionals, known as “facilitators” or “change agents” who deliberately escalate tension among group members, pitting one faction against another to make a preordained viewpoint appear “sensible,” while making opposing views appear ridiculous.
In Belknap County, there is a second NH State Senate race – that in District 7. Here, Josh Youseff and Bill Grimm are vying to be the Republican nominee to take on the Democrat contender. In my estimation, there is a certain divide between the two – Josh is more the Liberty & Freedom guy (and the last of our interview series with him is here; follow it backwards) while Grimm is more the Establishment guy. Also, as you listen to the video, it is plain that Grimm is not exactly “heads on and out front” on his answers; too much equivocation for me. And his unwillingness to commit to The Pledge is similar to one of the Democrats, Jackie Cilley (while less than that of Bill Kennedy who is opening arguing for a broadbased income tax here in NH).
No, that is not Josh in the video; instead, a surrogate stood in for him.
It is hard to beat the annual burden of government regulation for keeping the economy down. It’s also a great way to keep unemployment up. If Businesses have to spend more money to comply with regulations there is less to invest in the business or more employees. And what’s even better is that this…(see chart on the jump)…is something the government did create. Forty-six billion dollars ($46,000,000,000.00) in new additional regulatory costs per year!, heaped on business owners–during a recession– thanks to Barry “Big Bureaucracy” Obama…in just three years.
(I wonder if the idea came out of one of those job summit break-out session?)
And now for the last question of the night, formulated by Stella Scamman (moderator for the evening’s Seacoast Republican Women Congressional Forum). The Candidates for this last question were in attendance were Rick Parent & Vern Clough vying for the Republican nomination in NH 1st Congressional District and Will Dean & Dennis Lamare (“NO SHOWS” were Congressmen Frank “Stiffing the SRW at the last moment” Guinta and Charlie “It’s not worth my time” Bass).
Question 6: Are you aware of the UN Agenda 21 and if you are, what would you do to kill it?
Staying with the Conservative Candidates running for the NH House in Belknap 5 (Meredith and Gilford) is Bob Greemore. Yet another small business owner, he too is not happy how the State of NH has drifted from being a biz friendly place – his business is down because a lot of his customers are not in business. Someone who has fought hard as a member of the Belknap County delegation, he has fought to keepsafe taxpayers wallets:
He may have inherited a bad situation (so did Reagan). I think Obama’s “laser like focus” went dark…

Here’s what union-controlled government has become in New Hampshire:
Union operatives are pulling my yard signs from public areas and replacing some of them with union signs. Union thugs have twice gone into a general store in my town and threatened the woman who owns it with a boycott if she doesn’t take down a yard sign supporting me.
Unions also have promised to put $50,000 into my district, which has about 8,000 people, to defeat me. My opponents’ efforts are beginning to show that kind of spending.
The Government Buy-up and Bail-out of General Motors saved union jobs while arbitrarily eliminating tens of thousands of non-union jobs at dealerships, put taxpayers on the hook, and at present will cost us at least 25 Billion in losses as the value of the automaker “we own” a part of continues to decline. Have you ever noticed that the Water Sustainability Commission, and most of the other “sustainability” groups, all hold their “public meetings” during the business day?
This one, in particular, really irks me…
“Gay” leftists think Chick-fil-A is a greater danger to their agenda than Islam, which publicly executes homosexuals. If hating America and hating Christians is at the top of your agenda, it makes perfect sense….
