Paul Hodes gets an ‘A+’ for toeing the Pelosi/Obama Party line, and a least an ‘A’ for recycling the party talking points. For example, Barack Obama has been wandering around claiming the Chamber of Commerce is using foreign money to affect local elections. Paul Hodes has been wandering around New Hampshire saying the exact same thing.
Obama
“Just this week, we learned that one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign corporations,” Mr. Obama said. “So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections.”
Hodes-From Roll Call
“It could very well be that foreign money’s coming in to try to trample the voice of democracy,” Hodes said. “That’s a sad state of affairs.”
Hodes-again…
"… there are reports that the Chamber of Commerce is using money from foreign companies to influence New Hampshire elections."
I asked Hodes Lie-deflector Mark Bergman to show us the reports. I guess Mark isn’t reading my blog, or he simply has no proof, but I know why he has no proof.
First, the prevarication originates from an article at Think Progress which is part of the Center for American progress, the lower intestine of the left wing liberal chum factory. The second thing they share? They are both wrong.
The New York Times, the home of all the left wing chum that’s fit to print, disagrees with Mr. Obama, ergo Mr. Hodes, on the relationship between foreign money and domestic elections.
But a closer examination shows that there is little evidence that what the chamber does in collecting overseas dues is improper or even unusual, according to both liberal and conservative election-law lawyers and campaign finance documents.
…
Organizations from both ends of the political spectrum, from liberal ones like the A.F.L.-C.I.O. and the Sierra Club to conservative groups like the National Rifle Association, have international affiliations and get money from foreign entities while at the same time pushing political causes in the United States.
Paul Hodes and more Hypocrisy? Who can be surprised by that. Hodes takes money from the AFL-CIO, SEIU, Goldman Sachs, and others with an international presence and international money in their political action blood streams.
But what may be even more troubling than Hodespocrisy, which is more common than vanilla, is that the guy is out there trying to separate himself from the liberal progressive brain trust while using the same chum as President "fiscal-disaster," right here in New Hampshire, published from a left wing think stank.
Hodes is no less connected to the lefts destructive agenda now than her ever was.
