Welcome to the Dark Ages, Part II. We have slipped into an age of un-enlightenment where you fall in line behind the mob or face the consequences.
How ironic that the persecutors this time around are the so-called intellectuals. They claim to be liberal while behaving as anything but. The touchstone of liberalism is tolerance of differing ideas. Yet this mob exists to enforce conformity of thought and to delegitimize any dissent from its sanctioned worldview. Intolerance is its calling card.

Rochester 9/12 – Karen Testerman
Given that Karen is running for US Senate and was the only Senatorial candidate present Monday night at the Rochester 9/12 meeting, I have pulled out her speech in talking about US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid calling Jerry et al “Domestic Terrorists” while others truly are (e.g., Army Major Hassan shooting soldiers at Fort … Read more
Sanbornton – Workforce Housing: discussion and voting results
Yes, mea culpa – I spelled Sanbornton wrong in every single one of the following videos; I apologize! On Thursday, May 1st, the Sanbornton Planning Board held a session in which the town’s residents could ask questions about the upcoming voting on zoning Amendments, especially as Workforce Housing (e.g., low cost, higher density, clustered developments). It was clear, especially when the Town Planner had an outburst of “YOU HAVE YOUR FUTURES! YOU HAVE YOUR AGENDA 21s!!!” in trying to deny NH State Rep Jane Cormier a few minutes to speak (Ah yes, the retaliation of our betters against “the rabble”, eh?) that the board was attempting to “stack the meeting’. While a couple of folks seemed to be in favor of the WFH oriented Amendments, most were not. All videos after the jump.
In fact, the voting on the amendments yesterday showed that the whole concept got a huge thumbs DOWN as evidenced by the article in today’s Laconia Daily Sun (emphasis mine, reformatted):
WORKFORCE HOUSING AMENDMENTS TAKE BEATING IN SANBORNTON
…All six zoning ordinance amendments failed as town residents said no to so-called workforce housing.
Pretty it wasn’t for those that were for these. As I listened to the entire meeting from the 1st, I mentally kept checking off in my head – yup, this is the EPA / HUD / DOT’s Sustainable Communities Initiative. Yes, as you can hear the Planner’s outburst and
Blogline of the Day – it speaks for itself
IowaHawk: “If I understand college administrators correctly, colleges are hotbeds of racism and rape that everyone should be able to attend.” (H/T: Instapundit)
Cultural Insensitivity: Just can’t understand why NH Lowe’s uses Spanish instead?
on their in-store signage, especially after you look at this map: Now, there is another map at the link that shows “the next popular” language used AFTER removing both English & Spanish – NH’s language of choice is still French. So I still ask Lowe’s the same question but from another direction: why are you … Read more
I AM old enough to know there is evil in the world…
And I am old enough to have seen Evil and experienced it. First, there are those that only know naked force that they would use against me, my family, my friends, and my property: And then there are those that relish using naked political force, through the stroke of a pen, that can wreak even more … Read more
Rochester 9/12 Meeting – Part 1
Last night I traveled southeast to video the monthly Rochester 9/12 meeting. Haven’t been for a long while but since Jerry and Sue Delemus asked, I went! The place was packed – and a boisterous crowd at times as well. The main draw was the reporting by Jerry (and with some of his friends that … Read more
Rochester 9/12 – Part 2 CVA (Concerned Veterans of America)
Continuing on from the previous post, next up during the meeting was a presentation by Matt Spencer, a team leader with the NH Chapter of the Concerned Veterans of America. Turns out, a great place to be as it seemed that 1/3 to 1/2 of the audience (did I tell you that the place was packed??) were vets (and a good deal more associated with vets). Discussions were about upcoming events, advocacy, the absolute tragedy of the VA denying medical care to vets simply to make their “numbers” look good, and the mental illnesses that vets are experiencing and how other vets can help:

Rochester 9/12 – Part 3: Cliven Bundy ranch (1 & 2)
The co-main event of the evening (main event by length of time) was a report by Jerry Delemus (along with his friends who were there in Bunkerville, Nevada with him) from his time at the Cliven Bundy ranch. A lot went on and some of it was different than what was reported in the media, … Read more
Rochester 9/12 – Part 4: Cliven Bundy ranch (3 & 4)
Continuing on in reporting from Monday’s Rochester 9/12 meeting are Parts 3 and 4 of Jerry’s recounting of the events he and his friends experienced out at the Bunkerville, Nevada ranch owned by Cliven Bundy:

Rochester 9/12 – Part 5: Dr. William Baer and the Gilford School Board (Parts 1 & 2)
The last major update of the night was from Dr. William Baer (aka Billy Baer) and Josh Youssef on Dr. Baer’s arrest at the behest of the Gilford School Board as they tried to stonewall his efforts to get answers from them on why they permitted Teen Porn to be part of the curriculum that his freshman daughter was forced to read:

GrokTV: Rockingham Repub Dinner – US Senator Marco Rubio (Part 2)
This is the second part of US Senator Marco Rubio’s speech to the assembled Rockingham County (NH) Republican Committee at the annual Washington /Lincoln / Reagan Dinner
After finishing his speech, Rockingham County Republican Committee Chair Regina Birdsell said thank you to her volunteers that had assisted in putting the dinner together:
GrokTALK! 5/10/2014 – Dr. William Baer and the Gilford School Board
We had an extended segment with Dr. William Baer (aka, Billy Baer) that was arrested at this past Monday’s Gilford School Board simply because the Gilford School Board decided that they had to use their Power to stifle an angry parent’s ire about them allowing Teen Porn into his daughter’s Freshman class (taught by Gail Hutchinson). This has gone viral nationally (and we have been writing about it here, here, here, here, here, here, and here for starters – and for a bonus, here’s an older post (same cast of characters) of the Gilford School Board antics – head over to GilfordGrok and do some searches as well. While it has been dormant for a while, topmost post also shows uber-government bootlicker, Joe Wernig on display – he was the guy badmouthing Dr. Baer while saying “Hey, the school wants to make my daughters read Teen Porn – NO PROBLEM! School over parents is his mantra, I guess).
Anyways, here is our first segment (of three) with Dr. Baer:

GrokSHOT! – “The first trick of NH Politics is…”
NH Politics: Jeff Chidester was the Master of Ceremonies at this past Friday’s Rockingham County Republican Washington / Lincoln / Reagan Dinner where US Senator Marco Rubio was the keynote speaker. While folks were milling about during the dinner break, and Jeff was trying to get the event moving again, he made an astonishing (heh!) … Read more
GrokTV: Rockingham Repub Dinner – Intro Ceremonies
As I said here, the Rockingham County Republicans held their annual Washington / Lincoln / Reagan Dinner at the gorgeously restored Wentworth By the Sea (a project that Bill Binnie undertook when everyone said couldn’t be done given the absolute state of disrepair it had become). The big draw for the night was US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL); every much a notable in the US Senate and in the news often, it is rumored that he may insert himself into the 2016 Presidential fray. I will have to admit, he gave a very power speech on the points of his background but that American Exceptionalism still stands tall – but given the Progressive assault on it, how much longer?
That said, a few items before he spoke:
- Introductory Ceremonies: Invocation, the Pledge, National Anthem, “Seat of Honor” winner, Introduction of “Notables”
- Opening speech by NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn (introduction by Rockingham County Republican Chair Regina Birdsell)

GrokTALK! 5/10/2014 – The Pre-Show (Energy)
Every week, mostly, we turn on the cameras early (somewhat) to make sure that we are all set technically and, well, we’re talking about what we’re blogging anyways. So we figure that you might just want to listen in! Generally unscripted and completely free form, you might like what we are saying, so why not … Read more
GrokTALK! 5/10/2014 – Groksters talk about the NofW, Kevin Bloom talks about State House goings on
We are NEVER at a loss about things to talk about and this week on GrokTALK!, we did not have a power drop on talking. From the Pre-Show, we continue to talk a bit about power and the News Of The Day during Segment 1 and then in Segment Two, Kevin Bloom stops by to yak about SB120 follies (what I call “The NH State Senate Republican Incumbency Racketering Act”, the new legislation that will make it harder for us little people to politically criticize our self-anointed “Betters” – so much for that “shall make no law” bit, eh?) and other acts that the State’s bureaucracy is pushing to give itself more power.

GrokTV: Rockingham Repub Dinner – Talk by former NH Gov. and NH GOP Chair, John Sununu
Two keynote speakers were scheduled for the Rockingham County Republican Committee Washington / Lincoln / Reagan Dinner, US Senator Marco Rubio (of course) and our junior Senator from NH, Kelly Ayotte. However, due to flight problems, she was unable to get back to NH in time so John Sununu was asked to step in at … Read more
GrokTV: Rockingham Repub Dinner – US Senator Marco Rubio (Part 1)
Finally, it was time for the Rockingham County Republican Committee Washington / Lincoln / Reagan Dinner’s keynote Speaker: US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). One of the youngest of the US Senators, he is rumored to be pondering a move to become part of the 2016 Presidential Primary and Campaign. Thus, he is in great demand all over the country. Here, he speaks of his upbringing, the risks that his parents made in fleeing from Cuba and coming to this country, and the basis of American Exceptionalism that allowed the child of a bartender and a maid to become a US Senator – but that type of Opportunity may be getting submerged by the overarching Progressive style of government.

GrokTALK! 5/10/2014 – Jim Rubens, US Senate candidate comes in and Radical Moderate calls in
November is coming and September is coming even faster and for we of the activist community, the election campaigns are now starting to transfer from second to third gear (even though for some, the campaign season is already getting long). Jim Rubens is one of the three of the four willing to converse with us and sometimes, battle with us (with Karen Testerman and former US Senator Bob Smith being the other two; Scott Brown being the only one who seems to be unwilling (er, runs away?) to even talk with us. Look, we have differences with them ALL (some minor, some major) – but to not want to engage at all? Look, we’re just ordinary schlubs – what is he scared of?
Anyways, props to Jim for entering the “Grok Pit” and risking getting bit – and he did get nibbled a bit (watch and see) but it shows he’s not willing to play it safe:
Also, prolific and erudite GraniteGrok commenter Radical Moderate (or as we call him, Rad Mod) calls in as well (YES! We do take callers!):
