I didn’t expect to see this but it does bolster the idea that some folks in the Live Free or Die State are taking the idea of “Rugged Individualism-Self-Sufficiency” – of which being prepared is part of that ethos – fairly seriously.

Another line of argument against austerity is that public debt is not really a problem. This argument is especially popular now, given that interest rates are generally very low, so debt is not expensive.
We are starting to become “life by race quotas” – no more will we have the traditional “hard work, grit, and entrepreneurial spirit” as the road to success in life. It is easy to find the “man in the street” videos again (or, I’m just better at stumbling over them), especially those made by younger people asking (what should be rather easy questions) of their cohort. Easy being “at least in the ballpark.” Sadly,” easy” seems to really mean “unobtainable.”
Halle Berry recently had to recuse herself from playing a woman who thinks she’s a trans man because she is a normal woman. But she’s an actress. But she’s a woman. But the Left’s dogma says that would be oppressing gender dysphoric people by playing them.
It made me rather sad to watch this video. These young’uns not understanding the cost that is behind their Right to say what they want. I cringed when I heard how easily they’d be willing to give it up – emotion over reasoning:
