UK Bans Puberty Blockers for Everyone Under 18 years of Age

Last week, the world’s leading authority on transgender treatment and surgery was caught with its non-binary pants down. Internal documents proved they knew hormone therapy in children could lead to cancer or death. Three days of mourning later, the UK’s health ministry and the NHS have banned them.

None of the 70,000 Adverse Events of Puberty Blocking Drugs Were a “Safety Priority” for Biden’s FDA

Back in the early 2000s, the FDA launched the Safety First Steering Committee (SFSC). It was started to address the safety concerns of marketed drugs of noteworthy concern to Americans. Today, the acronym is still found ubiquitously throughout FDA documents, but those links no longer function.  It appears to have been replaced by the Drug Risk Management Board (DRMB). … Read more

FDA Limits Nicotine in Cigarettes but Allows Ultra-Processed Foods

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it will limit nicotine levels in cigarettes to stem addiction and consequent health problems. The formal FDA rule has not been released, yet the implications of this regulatory shift are dizzyingly myriad. Individual liberties, black market diversion, and the odd contrast between food and cigarette labeling and … Read more

SCOTUS To The Rescue — Let’s Stop The Transgender Movement

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard oral argument in this term’s marquee case, United States v. Skrmetti. The case, out of Tennessee, nominally involves a state law banning minors’ use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for purposes of so-called gender-affirming care — which, stripped of all euphemism, means genital mutilation and chemical castration.  And the … Read more
