The RINO of the week is seven-term House Representative James P. Pilliod, Belknap District 5. Rep. Pilliod’s voting record presents us with yet another rank statist consistently supporting government over the individual and family, an all too familiar commonality amongst the RINO rank and file. The final vote pressing Rep. Pilliod into RINOdom is his vote of Senate Bill 88 veto. Like his fellow RINO’s Dr. Pilliod fell in lock step in votes as shown below:
- Voted against HB 125 a law that would support the right of the Granite State to regulate firearms within its sovereign borders as a state;
- Voted against HB474 (2/15/11)Which would end Labor Union’s ability to compel non-union workers from paying agency fees as a condition of employment;
- Voted against HB329 The parental notification bill;
- Voted against HB147, the, “Kimberly Cates” Bill which expands the death penalty to murders committed during home invasions and burglaries.
- Voted against HB519 A bill repealing the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative…a a cap-and-trade system that has raised electricity prices, created a slush fund for the member states, and has no impact on reducing emissions.
Representative Pilliod is yet another who likely fancies himself a, “Moderate Republican” enjoying the luxury of taking refuge under the enabling wing of New Hampshire Establishment Republican’s who decrying the RINO of the Week Report as, “eating our own.”
As previously stated, The consistency RINO’s is “RINOism”…RINO’s are concerned little with what their constituents think and pride themselves as being the smartest people in the room…RINOism is about retaining power and the new elitism. Representative Pilliod is the embodiment of all things RINO, therefore he is this week’s RINO OF THE WEEK.
