Nashua GOP SteakOut – Steve Negron and Dick Hinch

Next in line to speak at the Nashua GOP’s Annual SteakOut was a candidate for US Congress in NH’s Second CD, Steve Negron.  He’s everywhere we go, it seems: Pssst: (whispering) It’s almost as if he’s following us! And the last speaker of the evening was NH House Republican Leader, Dick Hinch: Sadly, because of … Read more

NRA – Political Victory Fund Gives Steve Negron an “A” Rating

Steve Negron is the only NH CD-2 candidate to get an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. That’s important because there are candidates who received an AQ rating, which the NRA explains as,

An “AQ” rating denotes a pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on responses to the NRA-PVF candidate questionnaire and does not have a voting record on Second Amendment issues.

That means they said all the right things on the survey but have no actual record to back that up.

Has NH CD-2 Candidate Dr. Stewart Levenson read the Constitution, Declaration, and contemplated on “The Proper Role of Govt”?

Dr. Levenson on WMUR News on 8/13 at 6pm, shows us a rather parochial and patriarchal view citizens in his own words:

The top issue is our approach to government; it’s broken.  We have to get rid of the career politicians. I blew the whistle on the corruption and inept care at the VA and I’ll do the same in Washington.  We need to get rid of the career politicians to put people in, do the job the people elected them to do, who will take care of their needs, who will represent them. We don’t have representation now in NH. We have congress people that are beholden to the  big Corporation s to California to outside interests.

Now, I realize that in being a doctor, he takes care of people – that’s his worldview and we need people like that. But is it the Proper Role of Government to “take care of their needs”?

Absolutely not.

GraniteGrok reports: Annual Belknap County GOP Lake Winnipesaukee Cruise – Steve Negron

Following Brian Belanger was his friend, Steve Negron.  Both are running for the US House of Representatives in NH’s Second Congressional District.  Like the others, Steve addressed the crowd on the M/S Mount Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Note: it seems that a number of the candidates are prior military – many of them Air Force such as Steve Negron (Major, retired, Missile command).  Turns out that David Webb, the MC, is a prior Marine – and was egged on a bit by Al Baldasaro.  I think you’ll enjoy that the inter-branch rivalry that was brought up.

Full Disclosure: GraniteGrok has endorsed Steve in this election.

Every election in NH is really a race in three parts: 1) for political activists to serve on campaigns, endorsements, and donors, 2) to win the primary election, and 3) to win the general election. That first race is nearing its end. We at the ‘Grok have been studying the candidates, listening to their words, and reading their campaign materials to evaluate where they stand in OUR eyes.
