NPR Video Sting 2.0

James O’Keefe has released a second video on NPR. In this latest installment NPR exec Betsy Liley discusses with someone she believes is with the Muslim Brotherhood front group, how he might best hide a 5 million dollar donation to NPR from the federal government.

Newt Gingrich – Car Bomber

Chris Matthews being himself–and sorry in advance.  No one should really have to have breakfast and then see Chris Matthews demonstrate civility, but this is just too funny.

At about 50 seconds Matthews, who can’t help himself, announces that Newt ‘looks like a car bomber.’

Some clarification ensues but why bother.  That’s probably the media sound bite of the day.  Unless you want to listen to Michael Moore explain why Rich people’s money belongs to eveyone. (That’s on the jump.)

Nationwide Union Protest a Flop. But Not to the Lamestream Media

Failure. The rapacious, greedy, plundering unions failed. Good. From the excellent Legal Insurrection blog, a few words about the national protests that were supposed to occur in support of the public employee unions in Wisconsin: The 50-state protest was a failure, plain and simple, although the images from Madison may create the false impression of massive … Read more

Can You Smell The Campaign Fires?

After two years of extravagance on the taxpayer dime. Week after week of high priced parties with expensive food and high priced entertainment. Date nights that shut down cities. Frivolous trips (in his and her jetliners complete with entourage) to various parts of the globe. Vacation, after vacation, after vacation. And despite the glamor of a designer wardrobe, pimped by the adoring media for the past 24 months, we are now supposed to be impressed by this?

Would You Rather Just Play Politics?

Yesterday NHBR.com (New Hampshire Business Review) included GraniteGrok in its content.  One of it’s staff writers or editors (there is no by-line) commented on how the GOP establishment was not the only one taking shots from their right.  The Union leader, NH Journal, and Red Hampshire–which the  author refers to as "those in the GOP media world"–are now in the sights of GraniteGrok and their sometimes paranoid always angry Groksters.

The air-raid siren has been sounded so you less conservative, less liberty minded Republicans had best rouse the troops and scramble the jets or the also "sometimes paranoid and angry" readers of GraniteGrok are going to split the party in two.

So goes the tone of the NHBR.com piece.  So what does it really say?

It says they are biased, short-sighted, and uncomfortable with the facts.

Nashua Telegraph Snubs GOP Committee Meeting

The Nashua Telegraph’s progressive tendencies are frequently on display but never more so than in this mornings Sunday print edition. There is not one mention of the Republican State Committee meeting that went on for five hours, nor the election of any officers including the new Chairman Jack Kimball.

The vile, disgusting, lying, leftist Mainstream Media

It’s difficult to adequately describe their base mendacity. Not to mention their spewing unhinged hatred. I’m glad they are dying, from the big newspapers like the New York Times to the TV networks like CBS and NBC. America will be better off without the lies, bias, and incessant hatred of the mainstream media, all deployed for decades in … Read more

Kos And Effect

The Boo Hoo Hamster crowd, often cross-posting to or from Daily Kos, might want to ask themselves as they poo poo about this or that, which party was more invested in the demise of Gabrielle Gifford, a Blue Dog Democrat who was apparently hated by the hard left.

Did you Question Those ‘Declining’ Teen-Mother Birth Rates?

The day after we celebrated the birth of Christ the Nashua Telegraph treated us to a report that birth rates among teens had declined. If you poked around beyond the confines of the Telegraph piece you would discover that New Hampshire was one of the states leading the way. And there were some very amusing thoughts on the decline, but no one even suggested an increase in chemical or surgical abortions as a cause.

Little Footprints In The Digital Snow

someone-wrong-on-internet.pngSome of the establishment ‘insiders’ in the New Hampshire political news firmament are clinging to their status as the connected resource for information, defending their political crack house like some kind of punditry-pusher for the news junkies in the Granite state.

One of their weapons is the exclusive.  They need them to feel relevant.

Case in point, James Pindell, who unknown to most, had posted the news of Jack Kimball’s announcement to seek the state GOP chairmanship as a WMUR/Political Scoop exclusive.  But he did it after it had been posted by GraniteGrok, on GarniteGrok.com, the Grok’s facebook page, each of the Groksters facebook pages, at NH Insider.com, at the NHRVC web page, at my Live Free or Die WordPress page, and on several email lists like those of the NHRVC and RLCNH.

After a conversation with one of the Grok’s contributors, the word "exclusive" was reportedly removed from the Political Scoop post, but the act of trying to claim exclusivity still remains, embedded in the original web address to the article as posted.

[Emphasis mine]

It’s just like little foot prints in the digital snow, staggering away from the scene of a crime.

Fact Check (Dot) Wrong

It’s not news that FactCheck.org is run by the Annenberg Foundation, which is one of many Soros left wing cash machines giving grants to liberals and non-profits set up to destroy freedom in America.  So to even venture that FactCheck.org might have a bias seems like a waste of perfectly good digital trees.  But sometimes it’s too good to resist.

Yesterday I wrote this about the Seiu-Porter campaigns response to an Ad by George Pataki. (Didn’t he play Lt Sulu?)  Pataki, the former moderate (small r) republican governor of New York–is that redundant?–fronted the Ad through a group called Revere America, a 527 /non profit.  Fact check, fact cheeked the ad, but got a few ‘facts’ wrong.

Public School Propoganda So Obvious It’s Absurd.

Have you heard of Upfront Magazine?  It’s a product of the New York Times, delivered through Scholastic, to public schools and then public school students, and it is not much different from the actual New York Times.  For example, the September 6th 2010 issue has articles that promote workers rights in China (promoting Unions), seek to explain the complex problem with illegal immigrants (soft selling Amnesty), and then there’s the cover article–‘Americas Challenges 2011,’ a discourse on some of the issues that our new President Obama must cope with.

Here are the opening few paragraphs.  You ready for it?

Reid Wasn’t Looking To Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

Yahoo! News has a morning headline titled "How Democrats Lost ‘Don’t Ask’ Repeal."  (You can read it here).  It focuses almost entirely on the "Don’t Ask" repeal provision and to some degree on the tactics that epitomize Ried’s Senate antics.  He takes a defense authorization bill, adds Don’t ask don’t tell, then stuffs amnesty for illegal immigrants into it, and then refuses to allow Republican amendments.

The article,  and most of those that I have seen on the subject, all focus on the failure to repeal "Don’t Ask" as if that were actually the point.  But this had nothing to with that. It was a tactical political media ploy.  Think about it.

Houghton Hears A Who

I’m reading Kimberly Houghton’s front page press on Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s remarks at the Nashua Steak Out and it’s missing something.  It is missing dimension. It’s missing well, some facts.

Houghton seems to be obsessed with the term illegal immigrants, inserting it in reference to some of the things the County Sheriff noted as unconventional, when in fact he was referring to the general population of his jail, not just the illegal population.

Arpaio explained that they switched to pink underwear becasue nobody steals it.  With the white underwear, when you let them out, you’d find them wearing three or four pair at a time–stealing the taxpayers money.  No one steals the pink underwear.  But Houghton writes it as if only the illegals are involved, and is he actually taking away their underwear altogether?  We have no way to know.

Arpaio said illegal immigrants must be punished by taking away privileges such as white underwear, coffee and R-rated movies. Acknowledging his title as “America’s toughest sheriff,” Arpaio said he is fair.

He is more fair than she is, but you are left with her (or her editors) "interesting" perspective unless you were there and most of the UL’s readers were not.
