America’s Liberty, Our Future, Hangs by a Vote

Summer 2016 The FBI had in its possession an unverified dossier outlining many salacious accusations against candidate Donald Trump. They knew the dossier was, through a convoluted process, the product of Hillary Clinton’s campaign’s opposition research. Surveillance of the Trump campaign was an FBI imperative and to make it happen a FISA warrant needed to … Read more

The FBI Raid at Mar-A-Lago Was One-Sided, Undemocratic

If you think that the raid, oh, excuse me, warrant execution at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence (by multiple heavily armed agents of the state, some wearing tactical gear) is acceptable or even wonderful, you might want to pause and think again. The search was ostensibly for documents, not narcotics that could be flushed away or … Read more

History Mirrors Today

by Skip

The history of science is surprising, interesting, and violent. In my experience, science begins with “ our lying eyes” telling us the earth is flat because we could see no further than the horizon.

With the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Biden/Harris administration has announced its list of prospective nominees to fill the now open seat on the country’s highest court. FBI DOJ

Whither the FBI?

When I was a kid, the FBI was considered the best law enforcement agency in the World. Not just in our country–in the World!

We were treated to movies and TV shows about the FBI’s battles against criminals and communists. It would have been hard to think of another organization with as stellar a reputation.

James Comey

Comey Doth Protest Too Much… Methinks (Part 2 of 2)

Fired Former FBI Director Comey’s testimony about FBI leaks to the press is at odds with his sworn statements from his former deputy, Andrew McCabe. We know Comey met with Trump on several occasions assuring him that he was not the subject of an FBI investigation. This happened amid mysterious leaks to the press that Trump was, in fact, part of the probe. We now know he made sure that his memos about his meetings with Trump were leaked to the press. His explanation of his behavior is that it was designed to force the appointment of a special counsel. But the question  should be asked whether it actually was to deflect scrutiny from his own improper actions?

A number of high-ranking FBI officials during Comey’s tenure were either been fired, forced to resign, retired, or were reassigned; some cases resulting from accusations of improper conduct or bias. Andrew McCabe was assigned by Comey to oversee the Clinton email scandal. Comey knew or should have known McCabe’s wife had run for a seat in the Virginia state Senate. It was a matter of public record she received help of nearly $500,000 in campaign contributions from a PAC associated with the Clintons. One would have thought the appearance of impropriety, conflict of interest, should have been obvious at the time, most especially is such a high profile and politically charged matter.

Comey Doth Protest Too Much… Methinks (Part 1 of 2)

Sometimes the story reported does not discuss the more important matter illustrated by it. The testimony of fired former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before Congress is such a story. Comey has been at the center of every major scandal involving the 2016 election. He asserts his moral compass to anyone who will listen yet dodges questions under oath by Congress.

Last week he testified before a combined session of the House Judiciary, Oversight and Government Reform Committees. In that single appearance he stonewalled. He answered either “I don’t know,” “I don’t remember,” or “I don’t recall,” 245 times. If you or I did what Comey has done we would likely face indictment for perjury or obstruction. We have a right to clarity and completeness in Comey’s testimony. We need to know the extent to which the department he headed was weaponized and used as a tool of political skullduggery. That is the grave danger to our republic.

comeyHere’s another enticing tidbit from the nothingburger IG investigation into how the DOJ and FBI investigated The Clinton Email Scandal. James Comey was using private email for government business while investigating Hillary Clinton for using private Email for Government Business. (Page 13)
