CIA Warned of Terrorist Threat Before Benghazi; 12 Talking Point Revisions by State Dept.

Hillary Clinton loses it Drudge BenghaziABC News is breaking a story by Jonathan Karl.  It turns out there is a cover up and it’s bigger than suspected.  Not only did the Administration know that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack and not due to any video, but the CIA also put out warnings about the terror threat in Benghazi before the attack. The State Department revised the Benghazi Talking Points used by the Administration to address the American public and media about the attack on the American Embassy in Benghazi on September 11, 2013.  The State Dept. removed all references to Al-Qaeda and all references to CIA warnings of attack in Benghazi because of politics 12 revisions show.  The Administration said initially that only one word had been changed and just this week Jay Carney White House Press Secretary stated that nothing substantive was changed.  He lied.

What difference, at this point, does it make? One Mother Answers Hillary And Blames Her

Jake Tapper of CNN interviewed Pat Smith.  She is the mother of Sean Smith, who was a State Department officer killed in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

I can’t say that I’m the least bit surprised that Mrs. Smith is not all that sanguine about the dilatory dissemination of information coming from the Administration that answers the questions we’ve all been asking about the attack on the U.S. Embassy.  The attack that resulted in 4 dead, murdered Americans, including the first Ambassador to be killed in 30 years.

It’s simply a cover up, and it’s disgraceful.  To call it anything else is mendacious.  And Mrs. Smith knows who to blame: Hillary Clinton (at around 2:16 in the clip).

In light of recent details compiled from State Department and White House emails that show how Clinton and Obama (State and White House) scrubbed the CIA details on Benghazi, it makes all the difference in the world.  What started as a planned terrorist attack, complete with al-Qaida operatives in the mix, on 9/11, that killed four–including our Ambassador to Libya–was reduced to a spontaneous riot that got out of hand because of a YouTube Video.

White House Changes To Benghazi Talking Points Revealed

Compiled from emails exchanged between the White House, State, and other Federal entities, The Weekly Standard reports on details compiled and released that show what the White House knew, when they knew it, and what they ended up saying.  (Image of talking points before and after on the jump).

Synopsis?

The first, at 4:05 p.m. (all times are Eastern Standard Time), indicated that the compound was under attack; the second, at 6:08 p.m., indicated that Ansar al Sharia, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group operating in Libya, had claimed credit for the attack. According to the House report, these alerts were circulated widely inside the government, including at the highest levels. The fighting in Benghazi continued for another several hours, so top Obama administration officials were told even as the fighting was taking place that U.S. diplomats and intelligence operatives were likely being attacked by al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists. A cable sent the following day, September 12, by the CIA station chief in Libya, reported that eyewitnesses confirmed the participation of Islamic militants and made clear that U.S. facilities in Benghazi had come under terrorist attack. It was this fact, along with several others, that top Obama officials would work so hard to obscure.

The Obama Admin went with the random riot and then YouTube video lies for what, a week or more–despite evidence it was an al Qaeda affiliated terror attack.
