Eight months ago, a dude in a dress shot up a school in Tumbler Ridge, Canada. The “authorities,” and we use the term loosely, referred to him, who identified as a her, as a ‘gun person.’ They didn’t want to talk about the transgender thing, so trans identifying people can identify as any of the … Read more
This week, on GrokTALK!, we sift through some commentary and analysis on why Canada walked away from a trade deal they’d already agreed to, and why Trump’s Jan 1 retaliatory tariffs are necessary. 00:00 Introduction and Overview 01:11 The Canada Trade War02:01 Historical Context of U.S.-Canada Trade Relations04:39 Canada’s Protectionist Practices08:32 The Impact of Trade … Read more
And because they can. The American Republic is sometimes sold as 50 laboratories, each of which can try its own things as long as it doesn’t trample on the natural rights the Federal Government was created to protect. Yeah, I know. Anyway, we can see disasters in real time, and we still have to explain … Read more
Democrats couldn’t manage a lemonade stand without losing money to waste, fraud, and abuse, and yet they think they have a leg to stand on when it comes to the subject of affordability. Both the present and their history show they can’t. Taxes, regulations, interventions- did I mention taxes? That all comes out of your … Read more
Someone asked me about the weird light outside in the afternoon. It was yellow-orange, almost as weird as the light during a partial lunar eclipse. Wildfire smoke, I said. What’s the problem? They asked. Progressives, I reminded. Just like California, Canada has long been under Left-Wing rule. It’s a new problem created by an old … Read more
While surfing the news-o-sphere for something to amuse my mind, I stumbled upon what you’d expect to find. An article with the headline “Canada and Australia Have Much Higher Violent Crime Rates Than the US.” By expect, I mean, the US gets a bad rap for its murder rates, especially from Democrats who run the … Read more
I haven’t seen much media on this story, but I don’t pay much attention to local media. Justin Jackson and Melissa Longe, both of Dummerston, VT, have pleaded guilty to a conspiracy that moved firearms across the border into Canada. “The investigation soon revealed those purchases were part of a complex international trafficking conspiracy funneling … Read more
Today, on the Morning Update, if you follow the progressive dots from exit taxes to we won’t let you leave, and the dots leading from compassionate calls for assisted suicide to systemic use of suicide as economic and social engineering, what happens when those paths converge? Transcript below Watch on the ‘Grok Rumble Channel if … Read more
The WFEA Morning Update with Jeff Chidester is where Granite Staters get their news and opinion in the morning, and I have the honor and privilege of being a guest once a month. We recently moved it to the 4th Wednesday of the month. I used to be on the first Wednesday, but I get … Read more
Woke Nation States are the second most dangerous when it comes to rights, but especially the right to self-defense (personal firearms), which is why people towing lefty propaganda are such a ‘make me laugh, make me want to cry’ conundrum. The most dangerous are socialist/communist states, of course. No rights, not even the ones the … Read more
Remember Bob and Doug McKenzie. SCTV and later CBC TV. A filler bit that exploded into a phenomenon. An Album, the movie Strange Brew. I wonder what that would look like today. G’Day, Eh, and welcome to the Great Woke North. So, like, this is me as a gunperson in a dress, eh? Canada is … Read more
The idea that the globalist left, which includes elites and American progressives, will protect and defend speech, association, or assembly that they disagree with is absurd. At every opportunity, they actively work to control words, speech, and, by extension, thoughts. Any crisis, real or imagined, is an excuse to create fear and to silence dissent. … Read more
The killing fields of Canada keep getting predictably tragic. From “The State” convincing people they are a burden to relieve itself of the circumstances in which it likely put them, to people burdened to the point of asking others to be killed, the Great White North is looking decidedly red. I’ve covered the descent of … Read more
This week, on GrokTALK!, I explore the reality of how Democrats made everything unaffordable in Neighboring Vermont with long-time Political Insider, Rob Roper, and why you shouldn’t complain about any effect of Trump’s tariffs without at least looking in the mirror. “Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.” – Gustav Mahler … Read more
Governments have been killing their own people for their own advantage since there have been “governments” (see also: Kane and Able). From criminals to inconvenient truth tellers, power has a way of wanting to protect its own ass, so when the proglodytes started directing their abundance of “empathy” and “compassion” toward the chronically ill, everyone’s … Read more
I’m not sure how many readers remember Heavy Metal (the cartoon art mag, not the music). They released an eponymously named movie in 1981, which I recall liking. In one scene, someone in charge of something tells the hero, Den, that he “must steal the Loc-Nar from the Queen in order to save Katherine.” I … Read more
It’s a Saturday morning special edition (not at all as intimidating as a Saturday Night Special), but I had this on my mind and needed to let it loose. Off and on for two plus years, we’ve been pointing at Canada and saying, they’re going to “suicide” people for their organs. The entire government-assisted suicide project is one big slippery slope to begin with, so making it more like China wasn’t a hard call to make. The system creates the problems, but it can … Read more
Canada is about to enforce another “assisted suicide” law – the seizure of once lawful firearms. It’s an assisted suicide law because they know you have them, how many, and probably where they are, and if you don’t voluntarily turn them over, the police will be visiting, and that’s likely to result in some hard … Read more
Those familiar with the slippery slope series have kept up with my years of observation and commentary on the question of state-sanctioned assisted suicide. At its simplest, the only obligation a state might have is to ensure contracts with health care and insurers are honored in these circumstances. The bills are paid and survivors get … Read more
