My husband and friends and I raised the Save Women’s Sports flag on the Citizen Flag Pole on Nashua City Hall Plaza on Saturday, October 10, at 10 am, with permission from the City of Nashua. It was supposed to stay up until Friday, October 16.
The Nashua Board of Aldermen voted to pass an updated mask ordinance. “By a 13-2 vote, the Nashua Board of Aldermen approved an amendment to the city’s COVID-19 mask policy that says retail businesses must post “Face Covering Required” signs at their entrances and deny service to anyone who is not wearing a mask.”
Mayor Jim Donchess vented at a recent Nashua Board of Aldermen meeting to justify the new legal manager positions to process Right-to-Know requests. He came down hard on myself and another citizen who are simply requesting public documents to understand what is happening in our city government.
Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess is supporting a proposed amendment to the city mask ordinance, which requires that masks be worn in all public places in Nashua. The existing mask ordinance has a fine up to $1,000 and it is enforced by local law enforcement but the amendment would turn businesses into the mask police.

Incumbents fared well in Nashua aldermanic elections Tuesday night. None lost, while incumbent mayor Jim Donchess was unopposed. The Nashua Board of Education results took another direction, with incumbents Doris Hohensee and Howard Coffman losing their seats.

Unless he’s already signed HB1002, the new tax on access to public records in New Hampshire is still waiting to become law. If it becomes law, many towns will consider it, but the most grotesque government offenders will implement it with extreme prejudice as soon as they are able.
