GrokTALK! October 19th 2013 – The Videos

Steve does the real work – books the guests, runs the board, does the post production – and comes up with those killer parodies!  Me?  I just set up the camera as a back up.  But, some like the audio, and some like the video – and we try to give you the information “your way”!

Segment 1: Steve and I yak about the events and issues of the last week.

Segment 2: Max Abrams comes on to update us on his court case

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Jordon Sekulow of the ACLJ (Parts 2, 3, 4, and Q & A)

Continuing on, Jordon continued to talk about his organization’s work on behalf of Liberty and Freedom, especially in terms of the Obama Administration’s efforts to “bring the pain” in showing its disdain towards veterans (NH CongressCritters Carol Shea-Porter, Annie Kuster, and Jeanne Shaheen, if you remember, have continued to vote FOR his policies – FORWARD!):

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Howie Carr (Parts 1 & 2)

I have been a listener to talk radio for decades and I remember first listening to Howie Carr as one of the tax advocates “captains” with Barbara Anderson on the Jerry Williams show on WRKO and then again when he took over for Jerry a while later.  Being a long distance commuter for years, Howie was a constant drive-home companion: news, humor, great guests, wit – and an abiding disdain for politicians that worked for themselves, to obtain power, and to pass out patronage jobs.

He does not disappoint – on the radio or in person. Syndicated columnist, Hall of Fame talk show host, and New York Times best selling author – he’d quite the guy.  And he had quite the opinion of one NH based politician as well – but more on that in a bit.

“I was NOT expecting this”

Early in her term, we at GraniteGrok told Kelly Ayotte that she was exceeding our expections.  Then, however, it was clear that she had thrown in with both US Senators Maverick McCain and Lindsey Grahamnesty.  Then we heard about her embracing amnesty for illegal alients.  And then leading the lynch mob against the Republicans in the US Senate that were actually fighting on conservative terms.  People have been noticing.

Even Howie Carr had noticed the change in her and brought it up during his speech yesterday; he asked the crowd their opinion of Ayotte.  To tell you the truth, I was caught by surprise by the reaction to the question:

First Annual Strong NH Conference: Mike Biundo

The next speaker at the First Annual strong NH Conference was Mike Biundo.  As an activist, I’ve known Mike for a number of years and have always seen him as a gentleman.  While we disagree on a few issues, we have also joined forces on more than one ocassion in defending and advocating for Liberty and Freedom, for a more limited government.  After working on the Rick Santorum and Romney campaigns, he started RightOn Strategies (along with Derek Dufresne and Kory Wood).

Here, he talks about time to get even more active – and get your friends and neighbors involved too!  We have the ability, in NH, to make a difference.  Join us – we are NH based and we live here – all the time.

What the DC Establishment Republicans Will Probably Do Next…

Obama’s numbers are tumbling, Democrat strategy is failing, the shutdown optics are horrible for Democrats, and in a matter of days the Republicans could salvage some of your children’s future by stopping the unsustainable debt train that has steamrolled over us since 2009.  They might not get all that they want but they might get … Read more

GrokTALK! 10-5-2013 The video – Dr. Betsy McCaughey Question and Answers (7, 8, & 9) + data mining from Ann Marie

And this wraps up the video from the NH Federation Republican Women’s annual meeting with Dr. Betsy McCaughey as the keynote speaker.  Here are the last questions of the evening along with a quick commentary from Ann Marie Banfield that intimates the real possibility that the humungous data mining effort from Obamacare will be tied to that of Common Core?  If you believe that the first requirement of Freedom is the notion of Privacy from Government, you’ll want to take a quick listen and then listen back to Question #7.

Question #7:

My kids are in middle school and the pediatricians are starting to ask questions I’m not used to like how do you spend your free time, do you have guns in the house, and where do you go on vacation.  Is this part of the data mining? Should I be concerned?

Takeaway – Teach your kids about privacy and that some things stay in the family.

Question #8:

I’m having a hard time getting my head around reporting on your tax return.  You have to report who you pay, what you pay, and what about all these people who don’t do an income tax return?

GrokTALK! 10-5-2013 The video – Keynote Speaker: Dr. Betsy McCaughey (Parts 1 & 2)

The Keynote Speaker for the NH Federation of Republican Women’s annual meeting was Dr. Betsy McCaughey:

BETSY MCCAUGHEY, PH.D., is a constitutional scholar with a Ph.D. from Columbia University, a patient advocate and health policy expert, and a former Lt. Governor of New York state. In 1993 she read the 1,362-page Clinton health bill, warned the nation what it said, and made history. Today she is doing it again. With a Ph.D. in Constitutional History, she can actually tell us what the Obama health law says.

In 2009 medical excellence and freedom came under assault again, and McCaughey put her skills to work. She was the first to uncover the health provisions slipped into the February, 2009 stimulus bill. Members of Congress were stunned to learn the stimulus bill could limit care for seniors and dictate your doctor’s decisions.

GrokTALK! 10-5-2013 The video – Intro ceremonies and remarks

Yesterday, the ‘Grok was pleased to have been invited to the NH Federation of Republican Women’s annual meeting yesterday in place of doing our normal GrokTALK! podcast recording.  Even with the smallest room (and, as it turned out, a smaller PA system), they graciously gave us space to set up our normal “tv studio in a laptop” kit (microphones, headsets, cameras, soundboard…) for live streaming the entire event, do some interviews (as Grokster Steve has started to post the audio).  The keynote speaker was Dr. Betsy McCaughey (former Lt. Governor of NY, Constitutional scholar, and one of the nation’s premier Obamacare experts (and yes, she HAS read the entire bill!).

While much of the meeting may not be of tremendous interest to all, it is to these ladies so here are the videos of importance to them:

Intro Ceremonies (Invocation, Pledge, National Anthem, Awards, and Recognitions:
