Honorable Aldermen,
My name is John Cawthron. I am a resident of Nashua. The mask mandate put in place by the previous Board is hurting our city. I myself will not wear a mask and do not patronize any establishment in a city that enforces this mandate.
Republican Rep. Max Abramson sponsored HB1176 a bill to legalize prostitution in New Hampshire for sex acts performed indoors. He claims he is trying to prevent struggling single mothers from being arrested for sexual performances on webcams from their homes, but the bill goes much further.
Tuesday, the NH House Health, Human Services, and Elderly Affairs Committee held a public hearing on HB1609 which was sponsored by six Republicans for the purpose of gutting the Fetal Life Protection Act (FLPA).
Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday announced the UK will no longer be in the business of enforcing vaccine passports and “will no longer mandate the wearing of facemasks anywhere.”
Cornerstone Action sent out an action alert this weekend about HB1609, a Republican-sponsored bill that would return New Hampshire to being a state that allows abortion up until the moment of birth for any reason.
I have expressed my concerns regarding the fitness for duty of Steve Bolton, Nashua’s Corporation Counsel, through numerous private communications with the Mayor and the BOA. My concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
Friday, I logged into the patient portal for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH to update my medical records and it prompted me for my “legal sex”, my “gender identity,” and my “sex assigned at birth.” Nowhere did it ask for my biological sex.

Dear Director Bagley – I opposed the recent reimposition of a mask mandate for Nashua, and now note that a new meeting is scheduled for 01/19/22 where the topic may be addressed.
I believe most people are familiar with the Biblical tale of Solomon, the king, almost as wise as Joe Biden, solving the problem of who was the actual mother of a contested child.
To whom it may concern: I and my family, have been skiing at Crotched Mountain since my sons were old enough to ski/board. I went out of my way to support Crotched as it is a small local mountain and I want to help keep these types of ski areas running.
The Equality Health Center abortion facility in Concord, NH organizes a counterprotest every year during the annual NH March for Life. The March for Life starts with a rally in front of the NH State House and proceeds down Main Street to Christ the King Parish past Equality Health Center where the peaceful pro-life marchers are greeted with jeering crowds holding signs with angry messages and loudly chanting pro-abortion slogans.
IN RESPONSE to Nancy Martland’s guest column titled “The New Hampshire we love” (Tuesday, December 14, 2021), I was expecting her to break out into a joyful “Kumbaya” rendition about everyone working happily together — until she showed her true partisan colors.
The Fetal Life Protection Act went into effect in New Hampshire on New Year’s Day. The FLPA restricts abortion after 24 weeks, with exceptions for the life and health of the mother. Planned Parenthood and the other abortion supporters have been going berserk over this modest abortion restriction.
I was shocked to discover that our local library, the Nashua Public Library, has the book “Not My Idea: A Book about Whiteness” by Anastasia Higginbotham in the children’s room.
On the website for Planned Parenthood in Manchester, New Hampshire, I requested an appointment for “Transgender Hormone Therapy.” When I was prompted for my birthdate, I entered a date in 2006, making me 16-years-old, and the website encouraged me to come into Planned Parenthood to fill out some “special paperwork” to get cross-sex hormones.
The Constitution describes 3 branches of the federal government: the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. It also originally indicated that the rules to elect Senators and Representatives “… shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof” (emphasis mine) and that Senators were elected by each State’s Legislature.
Aldermen/Attorney Dave Tencza has equated the choice of mask-wearing to drunk driving. A poorly conceived parallel. “No one has the absolute right to drive drunk.,” said Tencza at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting.
Just a comment regarding Bette Midler’s comments about West Virginia: In 1997, Polaroid rolled out a Driver License/ID system that implemented the first facial image recognition system in any state-level program in the United States. I was the tech lead/manager on the program, so I know we did it.
President Wilshire is a seasoned aldermanic leader, but where is the leadership? Under her leadership, the Board has lost sight of the rules and order of the Board.
The Board-of-Health-approved measure for new mandated masking requirements in Nashua found its way to the Board of Alderman. It calls for indoor and (some) outdoor masking through January 31st, 2022. They have called a special meeting to advance the mandate.
