White Conservative Racists

The monthly Hot Air Presidential Poll is out and Herman Cain is kicking some serious ass among the conservative racists we keep hearing about. They must be feeling almost as guilty as the white liberal racist that voted for Obama.

NH Dems Endorse Obama Tax Increase

As reported in the Union Leader Ray Buckley and the State Democrat party would like people to call members of congress and encourage them to support Mr. Obama’s tax on investors and job creators so Democrats can fund public sector union jobs and keep the dues-donations rolling in.  They also support the push to defer millions in social security revenues on to the shoulders of our children, though Buckley words it differently.

The plan would cut the payroll tax that 30,000 New Hampshire small businesses pay, provide tax relief for families, funding for police, firefighters and teachers, school building improvements and transportation projects in the state.

This entire effort is another organized scam to fund unions and Democrat campaigns, in the run up to November 2012, at taxpayer expense.  The payroll tax cut is a useless gesture, not a cut but a deferment, so what we have is more of the same catastrophic economic policy that has kept us in a recession and on the brink of collapse for three years now.

GrokTALK! – Special Interview: Ed Black

Earlier this week, I received a press release concerning the IRS.  Now, getting a "presser" is not all that unusual, but this one was prefaced with a link back to a post I had written back in 2008 ("Sure – I’LL let the IRS do my taxes for me") where then US Senator John Sununu was advocating for a small, easier understood tax code while current US Senator Jeanne Shaheen decided that "making it easier" was not to change the underlying tax code, but laughably, to have the IRS computer your taxes for you (yeah, the agency that has had its competency shown to be suspect by having its own agents answer specific questions – and they all answer them differently).

The Presser from Stop IRS Takeover:

NEW POLL SHOWS NEW HAMPSHIRE REPUBLICANS OVERWHELMINGLY REJECT PROPOSAL TO HAVE IRS PREPARE INDIVIDUALS’ TAX RETURNS

85% of New Hampshire Republican Residents Said They Would NOT trust the IRS to Prepare Their Returns, Determine Their Refund or How Much They Owe in Taxes

WASHINGTON, D.C.   Today, the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) released the findings of a new Public Policy Polling survey which found overwhelming opposition from voters to the expansion of the IRS’s involvement in preparing individuals’ tax returns, a potential backdoor plan to raise taxes on Americans.

The rest of the press is after the jump.  Ed Black, President and CEO of the CCIA gave the ‘Grok an interview on the subject:

How to delete a Facebook account

I tried it once…and couldn’t get away from the damned prying thing. They kept reinstating it! So here, from Walt Mossberg at the Wall Street Journal yesterday, is how to to it (and they don’t make it easy at all):

Harrel Kirstein’s Paycheck.

Harrell is a campaign gypsy. Follows the money. But his home address is still in Jersey. Wonder if he really gives a damn about New Hampshire? Well, he is a Democrat. As long as they are paying him he’ll pretend.

RHINO’S VERSUS “RINO’S”

                        &nbsp  &nbspRINO_vs_Rhino_GROK.jpg

“A hypocrite is the kind of politician who would cut down a redwood tree, then mount the stump and make a speech for conservation.” —Adlai E. Stevenson

Following my recent RINO OF THE WEEK report, an amused reader and friend inquired, “Isn’t the RINO one of the world’s deadliest animals? Or is that the hippo…”

Pondering this for a minute, I juxtaposed the question concerning the herbivorious, odd-toed ungulate native to Africa and parts of Asia: The “Rhinoceros”.  versus Political RINO’s….an acronym for, “Republican In Name Only,”.

While “Rhinos” are related to the horse, zebra, and tapir; are known for their bad eyesight, good hearing, and mud-rolling. RINO’s, on the other hand are ambiguous about who they are related to…some show a Republican-leaning while others a full out leftist Democrat leaning. RINO-eyesight is through rose-colored glasses and instead of rolling in the mud, they sling mud. That sums it up for me, Nevertheless my response was as follows:

Damn. This girl is TOUGH.

Seems that Ann Barnhardt has a problem with the institutionalized misogyny and slavery of Islamofascism. Doesn’t like it much at all, and she lets everyone know it on her extraordinary blog. So a jihadist has emailed and  threatened to kill her. Is she scared? See for yourself in the following exchange between her and the idiot threatening her (and yes, that’s her hand, her crucifix, and her pink M-4 in the picture immediately below)….

Another Democrat Run Destination For ‘Independents.’

Can you smell it?  It’s called Ruck.us.   Ruck.us (http://www.ruck.us) is where the independents and other political inactivists will finally be able to gather online to talk about, organize, and get involved in whatever it is they believe in.  Right there at Ruck.us.  Of course I thought that was what the Coffee Party was for.  Then there was No Labels.   In NH we have the LFODA.  And don’t forget F*ck Tea.  There must be room for more of these groups.

But you know what?  I bet this time it is different.  I bet Ruck.us is not funded by Democrats. And it probably isn’t run by some crowd of entrenched progressives, and well connected left wingers like all those other so-called non-partisan, can’t we all just get along pretenders….except…that…it is.

Both of its founders have deep roots into the Democrat Party machine.

Do liberals and the rest of the political left in America hate and fear democracy?

Are you kidding me? These are the people who "saw the future" in Stalinist Russia, and said that "it worked." These are the people who defended Mao Tse Tung as "an agrarian reformer" who may have engaged in a few, limited excesses. These are the people who argue that Pol Pot and the Cambodian killing fields are some kind of right-wing falsehood. These are people who still lionize the Cuban dictator and communist murderer (but I repeat myself), Fidel Castro!

YES, liberals and other "regressives" hate and fear democracy. HERE’S WHY:

Democrats Reject Obama’s Jobs Bill

Yesterday provided another clear example of President Obama and other Democrats blaming others for their own failings.  For a month Democrats have blamed Republicans for not passing President Obama’s “jobs” bill.  But, yesterday when Republicans pressed for a vote on the bill, Senate Democrats prevented the vote.

President Obama lies when he blames Republicans for failure to pass a jobs bill.  Even Democrats know President Obama’s bill is unacceptable, full of wasteful spending and increased taxes, intended only to give a failing President a campaign tool for fooling ignorant voters.

KRISTIN RUGGIERO GOES TO THE SUPREME COURT

“Liars are always ready to take oaths.” —Vittorio Alfieri

Fukken_Bitch.jpg

On Wednesday, September 21, The New Hampshire Supreme Court heard from Kristin Ruggiero. Kristin seeks to overturn her convictions arguing that the court should have excluded a photo of her cell phone number, and an intercepted telephone conversation that served as the evidence that brought her to her current demise.

Kristin Ruggiero was sent to Jail in May of 2010, convicted of twelve counts consisting of lying and falsifying physical evidence. Kristin had tried to do what many before her have done and gotten away with: Using the court system to exact a personal vendetta against her ex-husband Jeffrey Ruggiero.

In oral arguments before the Court, Attorney Mark L. Sisti argued that the evidence used to convict Kristin should have been thrown out because it was disqualified under N.H. RSA 570-A:6 because in New Hampshire, her consent was not obtained by the parties in South Carolina to make the intercept.  New Hampshire commonly referred to as a, “two party” state, requires consent of all parties before any recording may be made, while South Carolina does not. Sisti concedes that, while no crime may have been committed by the recording because the interception took place in South Carolina, A New Hampshire resident still has the expectation of privacy under the statute, and the evidence should have been excluded. Sisti essentially argues for an absolute long-arm immunity without consideration to laws of extra-territorial consequence. (Listen to the arguments HERE).

Revenue Prediction

No, I’m not going to guess how New Hampshire will fare on tax revenue. I am going to predict how democrats will respond to the news of a surplus and business tax revenues over estimate.

The Red Herring Of Granite State Gambling

“I don’t gamble, because winning a hundred dollars doesn’t give me great pleasure. But losing a hundred dollars pisses me off.” — Alex Trebek

Slot%20MachinesGROKNHI.jpg

Back in the early 90’s while attending college at night, I took an elective course called Public Policy. At that time, I was a staunch advocate for expanded gaming in the Granite State.  “Put a couple of Casinos up around Breton Woods and the North Country!” I made all the usual pro-gambling arguments we see here today. Since that time, I have changed my position. I am against expanded gambling in New Hampshire now, but for the very narrowest of reasons, chiefly, that we are all being lied to.

Conditions in the late 80’s and early 90’s were excellent to consider and adopt expanded gambling in the Granite State. Now it is not.  New Hampshire missed the boat on this big opportunity and the reasoning for the push now is faulty. One simply cannot advocate for something simply because Massachusetts is doing it. That logic fails right out of the gate. There is a shared sentiment in the Granite State that if Massachusetts does it, New Hampshire ought not to.

The reason for the change of mind is not only simple, but quite logical. In the 80’s and 90’s there were far fewer gambling venues for Granite Staters to enjoy. Casino Gambling meant taking a trip to Atlantic City, Las Vegas or Down to Connecticut. However,  Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988 literally saturated the gambling market with options. Since then, Rhode Island, Maine and Connecticut have jumped on board and now offer venues.  The market is saturated. More casinos means less revenue for all as each one fights and lobbies for those dollars.

For years, I have watched busloads of seasoned citizens leave New Hampshire for Casino destinations. Now pro-gambling advocates warn that a Bay State Plan could siphon off Granite State gambling revenues. Well, not so much…dollars already leave the state “en mass” so in reality we have been losing this revenue all along….and now it is a big issue?

The TEA Party is for America not for a Political Party

Jim Hightower’s recent article titled, “Playing politics with humanitarian aid”, (see Jim Hightower.com) is just another anti-TEA Party screed falsely attempting to link it with the Republican Party.  The article can be summarized:  Republicans and TEA Partiers cannot complain about Democrat wasteful and irresponsible spending which rewards Democrat supporters because Republicans similarly spend to reward Republican supporters.

The TEA Party objects, equally strenuously, to wasteful and irresponsible spending by both parties.

The TEA Party believes that politicians in Washington are only authorized to raise and spend money to pay for Constitutionally authorized functions.   Politicians are not authorized to tax or borrow money to reward friends or to buy political support.
