This is from the commentary to today’s Union Leader article about crime-stopping hero Dennis Fleming…who was arrested and will be charged with a “crime” by a clueless (elected) county attorney, Thomas Velardi.
First, a comment from a retired police officer, Graham Baynes, as follows:
On Tuesday a Union Leader editorial called House Bill 1339, “preposterous”. In the UL Editorial entitled, “Contract Hunting,” The UL aptly describes why the bill is problematic. HB 1339, sponsored by Representative Paul Mirski, Joe Duarte and Gary Hopper, is an effort to keep access to hunting, fishing and trapping accessible to all, irrespective of economic and social strata.
The Union Leader points out,
“How does allowing politicians to take more money in taxes from successful people, to squander in ways that will improve their own reelection prospects, make anything more ‘fair’ for others?” Very good question. Dr. Sowell answers the question HERE.
Joseph Hebert is a criminal. He has a considerable arrest record for everything from assault and drug possession to burglary. Clearly, he is a miscreant. This Saturday Hebert’s personal illegal fortune-seeking ran aground. He was caught taking other people’s stuff without their permission. We, common folks call this, “Stealing.”
The singer Adele (Adele Laurie Blue Adkins), has joined the pantheon of modern celebrity -women who believe that flipping the bird in front of alarge public audience (on television) is a reasonable way to behave.

Perhaps M.I.A. (and now Adele) will do to the middle finger what Bill Clinton did for the ‘Lewinsky.’ Oral sex isn’t even sex anymore nor is is, is. So it can only be a matter of time before the middle-finger replaces the handshake–somewhere around 12-21-2012 if the Mayan’s were right.
New Hampshire HB 1342 would prohibit towns and cities from using your tax dollars to hire a lobbyist to send to Concord. This seems like a pretty good idea to me. Beatrice Munyenyezi has resided nearby here in Manchester since 2002 . Like many others who have come to the United States as Refugees, Munyenyezi came to raise her children, work and, essentially, “live the American Dream.” But also unlike many other refugees, Munyenyezi presently stands accused of personally participating in the Rwandan genocide, as an extremist Hutu who not only killed, but had a hand in the rapes of untold Tutsi victims.
U.S. Immigration in its’ U.S. District Court complaint in Concord, accuses Munyenyezi of lying to enter the United States to gain citizenship. Currently behind bars without bail, Munyenyezi is slated to begin trial this Wednesday on fraud charges.

…then why does median household income keep declining? Overall, median household income in the United States has declined by a total of 6.8% since December 2007 once you account for inflation.
The only thing rising is debt. (Along with real unemployment, poverty…etc)
Household debt is rising because people are out of work and trying to get by on credit. The national debt is rising because Obama lied about cutting the deficit and Democrats have added trillions to it in just a few years. Debt we cannot pay for with more debt.
If planned Parenthood can market cultural behaviors to children and teens that may inevitably grow their bottom line why can’t anyone else?
Why can’t McDonalds continue to serve the same food, or whatever food it wants (or that its customers want) if it just adds a little pamphlet on safe eating with information on how they offer additional for-profit services and consultation to help people deal with diet, eating disorders, weight, or obesity awareness? McDonald’s could then promote these services in public schools, just like Planned Parenthood does.
One of the things that I am proud about the folks that opine here at GraniteGrok is not just that they spend their free time writing here, not just that when they write but that they write well, but that they all DO and not just write. Each of the authors here get off their butts and go and actively do the politics that they advocate for here on the ‘Grok. I am no different, as I actively engage at my local level. For those of you living in Gilford, I ask that you would please vote for Barbara Aichinger, Stuart Savage, and me when you vote next month in our SB-2 sanctioned secret ballot vote.
