On 9 March, Breitbart’s AWR Hawkins reported that Former Astronaut and Congressman Giffords husband Mark Kelly, “purchased” an AR-15 and subsequently announced on his Facebook page that he was not going to keep the AR-15, which he has yet to pick up from the store.

Talk about bi-partisan support! And yes, I am enthusiastic about that. Back on February 18th, I challeneged New Hampshire Democrats to show us what they were made of when it came to the Federal Government, under the guidance of Mr. Obama, giving itself the right to detain people indefinitely and they have spoken.
Dan Itse’s bill would make it a crime for anyone to aid or abet indefinite detention in the Granite State without due process and the Democrat majority House stood up to support that.
Now maybe it’s a no-brainer vote. Perhaps it’s an easy one-off, a gimme. Heck, Democrats voted to nullify National ID back in the day. How hard could this be to support?

Barack Obama may be our President, but he is a petty little man who cares more about his power and ideology than people. After months of attempting to blame Republicans for his sequester plan and promising dire consequences, the public didn’t buy it. They said cutting 2.3% from our bloated future spending plan isn’t enough, cut current spending levels by 5%.
Like a spoiled brat, Obama wants to make people suffer for not believing his threats. So, he stops White House tours, he cuts medical care for veterans, including disabled veterans and their families, he releases thousands of criminals to prey on Americans, he goes out of his way to cause pain to others, but for a $500,000 donation to his campaign fund, he gives you a night in the Lincoln Bedroom at taxpayer expense.

I had lunch recently with a close friend with whom I attended college some years ago. He continued his education and is now a PhD. He is not a “lefty” sort of guy, but he isn’t a conservative-libertarian either. But with Social Scientists now weighing in on the gun debate, attempt to convey clarity, ambivalence is the net product. In our conversation over lunch he conveyed his thoughts about guns. Specifically, this thought:
“All too often following one of these mass shootings that garners national attention, the attempt to meaningfully discuss solutions to gun violence in America is muted and we fail to find any meaningful consensus regarding what we as a society can do to address gun violence.”
To qualify his remark he added,

Democrat Carol Shea-Porter, the Democrat parties “narrative mule” for congressional district one in New Hampshire, has a link on her official “I’m Your Congresswoman!” Facebook page. Shea-Porter’s status update simply says “Control towers at airports such as Manchester’s could be left unstaffed by budget cuts.”

The link provided with this ‘news’ leads to a story at NECN about how the airport tower in Manchester, New Hampshire is on the list of candidates in New England that could lose it’s midnight shift as a result of some $600 million dollars in cuts to the FAA budget as a result of Barack Obama’s sequester. That would be the sequester that the White house and Democrats arm-twisted the House into passing (with Democrat support), and has since decided to blame them for in its entirety.
Carol, the dutiful Democrat sheep that she is, has happily toed the assigned narrative without regard to the veracity of its claims, but someone might want to tell her a few things about how much DOT, and more specifically the FAA, requests annually in its budget, and how much of that massive sum gets wasted on what the FAA itself calls “low priority spending.”
We have all gotten used to the handmade signs set on the overpasses to welcome home the troops after a tour in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Now, a new one?
To the right of the highway sign, see that white sign on the guardrail? If you do not know what that white sign is or says, I believe it is a cousin to the one after the jump. From the email that came to my attention:

I took it while I was driving up to the overpass (not the best idea) but its a picture of a gun and the sign reads “Come and take it”. This is on the overpass just before Shaws in Milford. It seems like such a simple question. Can the President just kill anyone he wants, based on any criteria he wants, on American soil even if the person is no immediate threat to anyone? And since this question began related to using drones, the question is really, can the President kill someone, and anyone who happens to be nearby the targetted person, even if there is no immediate or imminent threat to anyone?
What does it mean when it takes SIX WEEKS of questions and a HIGHLY PUBLICIZED FILIBUSTER to get an answer to the question?
What is equally frustrating is the fact that 87 Senators apparently don’t care that the President and his administration have dipped and dodged and misinterpreted answering this question. What is really disappointing is that our Senator Ayotte apparently doesn’t seem to care. What was repugnant were the reactions of Senators McCain and Graham to the filibuster.
I think it is appropriate to let our representatives know how you feel about their actions. Hopefully others have also written them. My e-mails follow. I am not particularly happy about these as they are not very constructive, but they express how I feel. I suspect these letters will not make it to the Senators.
