That’s the watchword for MSNBC (you know, the cable news channel that finally admitted that being on its knees for the Obama agenda is not really “covering news”).  “Forward” was the watchword for Obama’s 2012 campaign.  It’s also the word used by Socialists and Communists all over to cover up which direction they really want to take a country – which is backward to a time when only a ruling elite would make the decisions for everyone else (as opposed to those crazy radicals known as the Founding Fathers and TEA Party / 9-12ers / Constitutionalists / Libertarians who want YOU to make the decisions for yourself).

Certainly, while MSNBC thinks that is what it is doing (or at least its Marketing Dept believes that it is) is moving forward, the only thing that can be said is that its audience rating is doing what Socialists and Communists actually do to countries – taking them backward and downward.  So, do you thinks THIS guy can make NYC “Lean Forward“?  Not so much, from a recent campaign stop (emphasis mine, reformatted):

“How dare you?” Brooklyn political activist Chris Owens asked, according to Politicker. “I’m a parent. I’ve got two sons. I represent the Democratic Party. I am outraged and disgusted by you, both by what you did and by the fact that you have the arrogance to run for mayor now.”  Weiner calmly answered, “I appreciate the question, Chris, and I know that some people will feel that way.” But then the brash, scandal-scarred pol went on the offensive, accusing Owens of holding a grudge over a past political slight, BuzzFeed reported. “Well listen, Chris, you have a right to grandstand, and I have a a right to answer the question,” a bristling Weiner said, according to BuzzFeed.

“If my mistakes, and the way I compounded them by being dishonest about them, disqualifies me, then so be it,” he added.

“But I am still gonna be out there leaning forward and talking about these ideas.”

So, Anthony Wiener, better known as the CongressCritter who tweeted his junk to lots of folks and who NOW believes, a mere two years later, can “Lean Forward” to victory to become the next Mayor of NYC?  From a twit of a Nannyist to twitter of a real Sexter – maybe NYC deserves such a mayor.

Interesting tack for the Democrats if you consider that the Republican Sanborn’s Democrat opponent, Lee Nyquist, had a campaign manager (Kevin Hodges) who during the 2012 campaign said that Democrats should beat Republicans with a bat, with their hands, with their feet…to which then candidate for Governor Hassan said ‘That’s a good answer‘ …as a room full of Democrats in Goffstown laughed.

I confess to not remembering if Hassan, Nyquist, or Hodges, ever apologized at all…

Bette Midler California Bag Ban – No, It’s Not About Plastic Surgery

If ever you needed proof that some celebrities are dopes then the recent effort by a cast of millionaire limousine liberals to help pass a state wide bag ban in California should serve.  No, it’s not a bill to require plastic surgery, it would make the misnamed single use plastic grocery bag extinct across the left-coast utopia.   But despite Hollywood has-been Bette Midler leading the charge the bill fell three-votes short in the state legislature.

Midler, who prefers the state force consumers to use the bacteria collecting, non-recyclable, foreign made “reusable” bags, was less than pleased by the result.

If a big pharmaceutical company was given $40,000.00 by the New Hampshire’s Executive Council to advertise the benefits of a drug therapy that had Commuter Rail - The lefts ideological trophy wifenot only not yet been approved but was not even known to be viable, would people be up in arms about that?  I think they probably would.  So how about some outrage over this?

The New Hampshire Executive Council, by a vote of 4 – 1, has just spent $40,000.00 so that the NH-DOT and the New Hampshire Rail Transit Authority can hire…

“… a consultant for the sole purpose of public outreach and public relations to increase the public awareness of the mission of the NHRTA … and to educate the public on the benefits of rail as part of a comprehensive multi-modal transportation system, both statewide and specifically within the N.H. Capital Corridor.”

The NHRTA’s sole reason for existing is to develop commuter rail in the Granite State without regard for long term costs, efficiency, or even need, all questions which have been answered time and again, but not to the satisfaction of proponents because the answers were not favorable to their cause.

“Workplace Violence”? Nope – more like treason now for Major Hasan

This was the US Army Major Nidal Hasan that killed 13 of his fellow soldiers back in 2009.  Even as he was screaming “Allahu Ahkbar” (God is Great) – the Islamic battle cry while he was pulling the trigger in that “gun free” zone (yes, on a military base), the Obama Administration decided to be Political Correct / Islam Friendly and merely call it “workplace violence” as it was just another incident at the local Post Office.

So what do you call it when a uniformed member of our Armed Services says this under oath in a courtroom?  KDHS News (emphasis mine, reformatted):

FORT HOOD — Accused Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan told a military court Tuesday he was defending the Taliban during the 2009 mass shooting on post…Hasan said he was defending “the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Taliban.”

…Tuesday’s statements confirmed what Addicott had long thought.  “Hasan has declared himself an enemy combatant in league with the Taliban,” he said.

Which makes a mockery of the Obama’s lie of workforce violence.  When the defendant himself has sided with the enemy of the United States, uniform and fealty oath to the Constitution obviously not withstanding, this is an attack on our sovereign soil by Islamic militants.

A voice suffering from Government Tyranny – simply for being TEA Party – Part 1

Am on vacation this week – a “staycation” in doing errands as well as finally starting to approach the long list of “honey-do’s” (as well as long list of tasks of my own).  Both have long laid fallow resulting in, well, “the house suffering from benign neglect from blogging”.  A week won’t cut it down substantially, but the habit will be formed (er, I hope, under  (long suffering) TMEW’s stern visage).

As I was go thither and fro, TMEW had the news on TV on and I caught a bit of the testimony from some of the TEA Party leaders who had been targeted by the IRS simply for having “TEA Party” in their names.  I have transcribed one so far and am doing one more now – of the six people who testified to Congress, I think these are representative of all of the people who felt their country slipping away these last few years and deliberately being transformed from its original ideals at the time of our Founding and simply felt it was time to educate their fellow citizens and roust them from their political slumber.  One such lady is Becky Gerritson of the Watumbka (AL) TEA Party:

If you do not have the 7 minutes to watch, at least glance through the transcription (I got “most of it”) to see what was important – the fear that our Government that was meant to be public servants to Citizens is now turning that table to that of a Public Master to a public servitude.
