If it was so important to NOT apologize during the primary for his teabagger comment, why is it so IMPORTANT that Havenstein is reaching out and apologize to the TEA Party type folks NOW?

During Saturday’s NHY GOP Annual meeting, right after the “Point of Order” fiasco at the beginning of the meeting, I came to the conclusion that the fix was in.  So I gathered up my stuff and proceeded to walk out (yes, in front of the podium) so as to not waste any more precious time (actually stopped at Shooters Outpost and scored some .22 rounds – impossible to find up my way!).  As I was almost out the door, I was stopped by what was immediately recognizable as a young campaign intern – they all wear the “formal Republican campaign uniform” of blue blazer, button down shirt, tie…you know what I mean.  He politely asked if he could speak to me for a moment (hey, if he wants to call me Mr. Murphy, I’ll stop) and introduced himself as part of Havenstein’s campaign staff.  A couple of He then said it was really important that I knew that Walt wished to apologize to me and that Walt was very sorry for his poor remark.  Head cocked at this nattily dressed young man in the usual Republican Campaign uniform, knowing he was only the short strawer drawer, I merely asked him “Then why are you here if he is apologizing? Why isn’t he doing this in person if you tell me that this is so important?”

Yesterday I asked, what would you be willing to do to protect your vote when the state refuses to do it for you?

The state is using force to empower non-residents to determine your representatives.  It is exercising a power you never gave it, to stuff your ballot box with the voices of anyone willing to claim domicile for the sole purpose of altering the outcome of your election, without ever having to spy for the consequence of those votes.

It is establishing and defending the foundation vote fraud stands upon.

There is no other definition for what this is based on the decisions they have made.  They will defend the right of anyone who shows up on election day to erase your vote.

Today I am asking, “who in the state government told the New Boston keepers of the checklist that they could not remove 22 year old non-resident names from the voter checklist?”

The US Forrest service is preparing to demand tithing from the media.  Pay a fee for a permit and we’ll let you take pictures on public land.  No, it was not announced by a guy in a dark pinstriped suit named Vinnie.  Hey, youse wanttotake some pictures?  C’mere first.”

Forest service censorship.  Violators will be punished to the full extent of the law they claim has been on the books since 1964.

The U.S. Forest Service has tightened restrictions on media coverage in vast swaths of the country’s wild lands, requiring reporters to pay for a permit and get permission before shooting a photo or video in federally designated wilderness areas.

Is there a postcard cartel we didn’t know about with lobbyists in DC?  Is Smokey the Bear in danger of being replaced by Permit the Frog?

This could backfire, probably will.   Or it might not and then backfire later in a way you may not have considered.

Any large gathering of those advocating left wing ideas is likley to result in filth, violence, ignorance, celebrities, hypocrites, and Marxists.  (Sorry if I was at all redundant just then.) The Great March for Climate Action, It’s “The People’s Climate” after all, did not disappoint.

There appear to be two strains of protesters who attended the People’s March. Some cling desperately to the ideals of Marx and who repeat rhetoric and slogans which have largely remained unchanged since the Rutherford B. Hayes administration. These folks ironically consider themselves “progressives.” The other strain of protester who spoke with Foster seemed lost, misplaced, left behind in a world which no longer made much sense.

Anyone, from anywhere, can vote here.  Anyone.  From anywhere.  Any Election.  They don’t even have to show up.   They just need to provide an address, a domicile du jour, no strings attached, and they get to cast a ballot in your town.

How?  New Hampshire Democrats as a matter of policy, a series of New Hampshire AG’s as a matter of political preference, and one of the worst court systems in the nation, have all conspired to rob the state of its sovereignty, to put into question the legitimacy of every local vote, to deny every actual resident of their right to choose their representatives or to have a voice in local politics, and robbed every taxpayer of any semblance of control over how they are taxed and for what purpose.

Democrats in power believe they are ‘experts’ themselves or fawn over appointing or surrounding themselves with ‘experts.’  These are not actual experts, they are actually university fodder, professors, researchers, lawyers, philosopher poets,  long-time denizens of those islands of liberal thought called universities.

The experts use their tiny liberal, white tower minds, buttressed by crumbling walls that bank the narrow corridor of their worldview, to think of ways to overcome socialism’s myriad historical failures.

One of the things they have been trying to re-brand is political speech.  They want ‘the experts’ to have the power to silence anyone who questions their motives.  They want the elected to have the power to limit what the unelected can say about what they do.  Democrats are not alone in this goal, but they are at the forefront of the movement.

Rights, Privileges, Entitlements.  Negative Rights, Positive Rights, Social Justice, Redistributive Justice (and the newest one, Climate / Environmental Justice).

I bookmarked this last week when it appeared on Constitution Day but didn’t get a round tuit at that time.  When I saw this, it was “replace gasket” time.  For our President to make such a blatant redefinition of what the US Constitution stand for, all I could do was sigh and go ‘@($&%&#*’, just another example of ‘Freedom to Worship” instead of the true words and meaning of the First Amendment”:

“Our Constitution reflects the values we cherish as a people and the ideals we strive for as a society.  It secures the privileges we enjoy as citizens, but also demands participation, responsibility, and service to our country and to one another.”

Such GOBBLEDEGOOK!  It really says nothing of the sort.  Obama has complained in the past that  Constitution (and the Supreme Court in its decisions) has not gone far enough in promulgating “redistributive rights” – the ersatz “right” that government, in an effort to be fair (e.g., IMHO, put everyone at the lowest common denominator so no one is any better than anyone else), has the not just the right but the obligation to take from many and give their property to others (and yes, money is property).

These are no slip of the tongue, no flowery words for an occasion.

In 2014, those same broadcasts produced only nine reports which mentioned public opinion surveys related to President Obama.

I think this hits the nail on the head; even though writ small, it really speaks to the massive problem we have as US Citizens that have a Government that has grown too large, too activist, and too intrusive – in short, a philosophy that believes that if we write enough laws and regulations, we will have “a virtuous people”:

SEC Commissioner Daniel Gallagher has given an excellent speech on the titular question. The whole thing is a must read, but this passage jumps out at me:

… sadly, we at the SEC are not doing nearly enough to ensure that small businesses have the access to capital that they need to grow. We layer on rule after rule until it becomes prohibitively expensive to access the public capital markets. Only rarely do we remove any of our rules, even after they have long since ceased to serve their purpose or have become obsolete or worse. And although we have made significant progress in expanding our economic analysis of new rules and rule amendments, we almost never consider how heavily the weight of the entire corpus of rules bears down on registrants.

Too much, and we can never have less when it comes to Government.  While the speech is about how hard the US Government is making it to raise capital, aren’t the bolded parts speaking to the issue in the larger sense?  Rule after rule, law after law (heck, just look here!) – it is never “enough” for those that must keep thinking “just one more and we’ll have it nailed!”.  Instead, we have a deadweight of thousands laid upon us
