Conservative Review has a quick list of the lies implicit / explicit / omission by Obama last night:

Lie #1: Every President has Taken Executive Action on Immigration: No other president has ever issued an amnesty of anywhere near this scope, created it out of thin air, or built it upon a prior executive action instead of a statute…

Lie #2: Illegal Immigrant Crossings are Down: Actually, this is the third straight year that border crossings have gone up, not to mention the entirely new wave from Central America…

Lie #3: It does not grant citizenship or the right to stay here permanently: Under the royal edict, the work permits can be renewed every three years, and most likely, they will be renewed at the same 99.5% acceptance rate as DACA applications…

Lie #4: Only 5 Million: Make no mistake about it.  Obama’s illegal amnesty will not just apply to 5 million individuals.  It will apply by default to all 12-20 million illegals in the country as well as the millions more who will now come here to enjoy the permanent cessation of borders and sovereignty…

It is always remarkable to me — which is why I am remarking upon it — how the only way this president can be rescued from a bad news cycle is if an even worse one comes along. This is a source of frustration for many on the right who get outraged by the fact that “we” don’t talk enough about Fast & Furious or Benghazi or the IRS scandal or the VA scandal or Ukraine/Syria/Islamic State/China/Libya/Gitmo . . . . etc. The reason some of these topics get pushed to the backburner, even on the right, is that another controversy or scandal suddenly eclipses the previous one. If I ask you to hold a bowling ball and then, five minutes later, I surprise you by throwing a second bowling ball at you and shouting “Catch!” it’s sort of unfair for me to expect you not to drop the ball. Terrence (Terry) Bean, a Democrat National Committee member (since at least 2009), has been arrested in Oregon and is accused of raping a 15 year old Boy.

The indictment charges Bean with two counts of third-degree sodomy, a felony, and one count of third-degree sex abuse, a misdemeanor, police said.
Bean, who bailed out of jail by late Wednesday afternoon, will be arraigned on the indictment in Lane County.

Human Rights Campaign, in addition to advancing abortion, has also lobbied Congress to end all federal funding for abstinence education, and hailed one piece of legislation that cut off funding because it “would end abstinence-only-until-marriage programs once and for all.” Bean is also a prominent supporter of pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

Who else thinks Terry Bean could have used a bit of “abstinence education?”

This recent election saw more elected Republicans voted into office, top to bottom, than any time since Herbert Hoover.  Each and every poll that I have seen said why – just like in 2010 only louder and more angrily – stop Obama. They kicked the Dems out of more state legislatures and governerships than ever, sending the message that the electorate wanted the Dems stopped at the State level.  They strengthened the majority in the US House for the Republicans and gave them a majority in the US Senate.  The message?   Stop Obama and his policies.  Period.  Full Stop.  No Excuses.  We are tired of the “dense pack” efforts to fundamentally transform America via  the use of Alinsky’s Rule #8:

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

The base has had it – and sent a message to “do what it takes“.  We sent you there to do one and only one job.  Period.  Stop the dissembling of America.  Stop the Progressives from turning us into Europe (or worse).  Return to Constitutional order and bounds. We gave you more than enough ammo – get to work and we will accept no excuses.

And you wonder why Congress might be dysfunctional?  “Do the Right Thing” – that was ingrained in me when I was a Sr Consultant at DEC working with our customers, their customers, and all the internal departments within DEC.  Is that the problem with our Federal Government – that their definition of “Do the Right Thing” is dysfunctional?  This from Betsy’s Page caught my eye that started on a run by Senator Mary Landrieu’s (D-LA) absence at committee (emphasis mine):

Defenders will say that legislators typically miss committee hearings. Perhaps that is evidence that Congress is doing too much missable stuff. I do an activity with my students when we cover the Congress unit and give them an excerpt that David Price, a Democratic representative from our area of North Carolina wrote. He includes a schedule from a typical day in his life as a congressman. The students soon notice that he has overlapping meetings all day long. He meets with constituents and interest groups, pops in at several committee meetings and then goes to several fundraisers in the evening. He’s busy from early in the morning until late in the evening. Then I ask the class what he does not have on his schedule. Someone will finally notice that there is no time on his daily schedule for him to read bills, do research, or have a briefing on a policy. If this is what they’re doing all day long, how do they have time to understand the policies they’re voting on? They have to just vote the way their party leadership or interest groups or aides advise them to.

The Senate just voted on the Keystone XL pipeline (aka, “Mary’s Hail Mary to save Mary Landrieu’s Senate Seat” – from the dude who WROTE the Hail Mary that is about to take her seat and contrary to her vote total (“I’ve got the 60 votes!”), it went down to defeat 59-41.  Her leadership (that would be Dingy Harry Reid and Dick Durbin) also voted against her – after allowing this to come up for a vote.  Nice, just nice.

But I am confused – I thought that to be a REAL woman, especially on the Democrat side, woman have to stick together, support each other?  That already makes Carol Shea-Porter a turncoat to wymens’ issues everywhere like Steve pointed out – does that mean she voted like a man?  But that’s not the only thing Steve brought up:

All of the Above, across the aisle, “New Hampshire First” Senator Jeanne Shaheen will have an opportunity to vote on this bill Tuesday.
