he had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, noticed her in the distance looking at the firemen.

This is a real article (I’ve written the title family-friendly, they didn’t) about Ben Carson’s response to the Oregon shooting, appearing in this month’s edition of GQ magazine. Here are two snippets, just to give you the flavor:

“Our message to Hillary Clinton is simple: immigrant youth do not trust you. It is time to drop the prison money and stand with our community — you can’t have it both ways,” he said. “Each dollar of private prison money accepted by the Clinton campaign undermines her pro-immigrant policy promises, and our community will not be fooled.”

Some members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Thursday protested Hillary Clinton’s acceptance of donations from private prisons—purportedly because those dollars from private prisons somehow engenders mistrust among “immigrant youths”.  Who knew youths–immigrant or not–would follow down that rabbit hole of logic to make that connection? Furthermore, who knew that there was even such a thing as a private-prison donor class, anyway? (Apparently, the Clintons did.  They have an amazing ability to find donors anywhere.)

This was originally going to be a response to Radical Moderate’s comment on my Trumps’ Cognitive Dissonance post.  But as I finished my reply, it looked a little too long,  so I thought I’d just post it.   By the way, after thinking about it a little, the title Cognitive Dissonance doesn’t quite fit in Trump’s case; that term implies that one holds simultaneous conflicting beliefs, and I’m not convinced of what Trump believes, if anything, other than in himself of course, so Cognitive Dissonance may be slightly off.  But I digress.

Trump’s explanation sounds like a reasonable explanation of eminent domain to me after all it is in the US Constitution by the authors themselves. If its not intended to be utilized in the limited way Trump explained then what should it be used for?

I’ll go with the assumption that the video he embedded has the crucial part.   And to be fair, I should have included a reference to Kelo in the post.  But have you ever tried to transcribe Trump?  You need to be a punctuational gymnast to do it.
