I’m not sure why you’d ever eat at a Waffle House but here’s one more reason to stay away.
“…Rivers works security with his brother at “an area nightclub” and that Rivers was sitting in his car talking to his brother on the phone when he saw Davis running out of the (Waffle House) restaurant with the cash register drawer.
He ordered Davis to stop. But instead, the police report said, “Davis raised his gun and fired.” So Rivers returned fire, striking Davis “in the abdomen near the groin.” Police arrived to find Davis lying in the restaurant lobby with a cash register drawer lying by him.”
While employees appeared thankful, Waffle House doubled down on their gun-free zone policy after the incident. No guns in Waffle House.
They do make exceptions for police and security guards. So, if you have to go to Waffle House, you are a security guard. If they ask what you guard, tell them you are a personal body guard and leave it at that. If they kick you out anyway, they probably did you a favor.
And yes, I expect crime at Waffle House to take an uptick.
