Back on January 2nd, 2018 we set a goal of improving from number nine on our list of Media sites in New Hampshire to number seven. We did that, and a little bit more.
As of this morning, February 13th, 2018 GraniteGrok.com has moved up to number 5 on our list in Alexa site rankings (National 6-month average).
It wouldn’t be the first time that someone is crying “Wolf” over…..wait for it…..CLIMATE CHANGE! Now, I have NO problem in city officials in trying to head off problems – it’s what humans do as being the almost the most adaptable species on the planet (er, cockroaches perhaps a tad more?) and certainly the species that can make the environment adapt to us (emphasis mine):
“Because that’s so important to Portsmouth we wanted to follow up on that to see what we could do to better understand it and to start preparing for it,” Britz said. “The idea isn’t to scare people, it’s not to get people worried about it, it’s to get them prepared.”
That would be city planner Peter Britz. Nice to not scare people – and in the same article, decides to do exactly that:
City planning staff has estimated that Portsmouth will see sea water rise 2 feet by 2050 and 6 feet by 2100, Britz said.
Right – that would be 0.75″ per year for the next 32 years. Scary numbers, eh? Being that I can’t help myself, I decided to bring up a couple numbers of my own:

It always was “white supremacist” when talking about the KKK and that ilk. I’ve read that phrase for years and decades as that IS their main ideology – the white race should be primary. Yeah, up yours with all that.

Long before Donald Trump ran into Adam Schiff, he outclassed another phony, a so-called comedian, posing as a rapper. Trump agreed to sit through an interview with the fake rapper. It did not go well for the guy who thought punking Trump would be easy.
If you look at the clip, it took Donald Trump about 20 seconds to counter-punk the fake rapper.

I guess that NH Rep Sean Morrison never learned about the Theory of Holes. Steve first mentioned him in his post on voting for HB628, Paid Family Leave, HB628, whereby he believes that Government has the right to crowd out the Private Sector’s offerings (in this case, insurance policies aGAIN). The financials are such, just like Medicaid Expansion, that to keep that “promise”, monies will end up coming from the General Fund instead of this “pay as you go” fiasco in the making.
I then decided to do my post, “…for a RINO of the Week” and methodically went through what his voting record ratings are and asked a number of very pointed questions about the program, political philosophy, and what happens when it all goes south. Well, back on Steve’s post, he decided to double down (emphasis mine):

Last Friday, February 9, 2018, I stopped by State Archives on Fruit St. in Concord to check out a name or two of the over 6,500 out-of-state voters from our 2016 NH General Election. That would be the one a US Senator lost by 1,017 votes.

Here’s another decent podcast for conservatarians to consider. Lots of audio from names you know on topics that matter. Kimberly Strassel, Dennis Prager, Larry Kudlow, Michael Medved and more. It’s 39 minutes loaded with a lot of information.
I was at the US Civil Rights Commission hearing in Raleigh, North Carolina recently and sat through hours of testimony, by what amounted to race hustlers spinning tales of minority disenfranchisement.
The hallway outside the hearing was my “safe space” when it got too bad. When you hear someone say “We need to have a conversation” for the tenth time in seven minutes, the gag reflex sets in, even in me, after years of listening to New Hampshire election officials lie about the words domicile and resident.
Spring is coming, followed by another summer, a time when it will probably be the hottest…it has been all year. And with that “heat” the hyperbolic declarations on Mann-Made warming–which is not to be confused with the Mann-Made cooling, bitter cold, and snow.

On paper, the GOP controls every branch of State government in New Hampshire except the judiciary. But the reality is that in the aggregate the State has moved leftward despite nominal GOP control of the political branches.
I discussed how Governor Sununu has moved the State leftward in this post, but there is plenty of blame (or if you like the idea of New Hampshire moving leftward – credit) to go around.
Last September, the University System of New Hampshire released a preliminary report on Campus Climate. Its purpose was to institutionalize the bunching of panties after students wearing sombreros and fake mustaches at a Cinco de Mayo party on campus rustled some social justice jimmies.
The report began the long process of navel-gazing over Kampus Klimate and the Komplexities of what amounts to Free speech with this.

Horowitz has some insight and perspective on the Republican party, defense spending, and health care that you’ll want to hear. Or maybe not.
