Steve Kenda is taking a serious look at challenging Republican incumbent Russel Prescott for the Executive Council Seat in District Three.

“Several prominent Republicans have approached me and suggested I take a serious look at Prescott’s seat. Most are shocked at his recent voting record and are looking for a credible candidate to give voters an alternative,” Kenda said. “His proposal to increase the tolls hits hard-working folks in New Hampshire right in the wallet. At a time when nationally we are cutting taxes, improving business incentives and creating jobs, Prescott is promoting an indirect tax via a toll road increase and endorsing $4 million rail studies.”

There are not a lot of things the Federal Government should be doing but border enforcement and National Security are one of them (or is that two of them?).

But progressives are loathe to part with their illegal voter base even when it comes with violence, human trafficking, gangs, murder, and mayhem. Timberlane has an auditing firm, Plodzik and Sanderson. They supply the Audit Report in the Timberlane Regional School District Annual Report – that thing in your lap at the Annual School Meetings in March.

I heard some grumbling about a resignation by an official involved with the 2017 audit. It peaked my interest so took a brief look – starting with 2014 up until the one that is supposed to be ready now.

If in 2014 Timberlane had an Auditor’s Report for the year 2013 – it isn’t in the Annual Report, check page #2, not there – no mention of one.

If in 2015 Timberlane had an Auditor’s Report for the year 2014 – it isn’t in the Annual Report check page #2, not there, no mention of one.

Well, TMEW, the Grandson, and I took the trip off the mountain to go vote this morning.  Not early, like 7 or 8am as I had wanted to and have done previous Voting Days – the 2 year old hasn’t quite grasped that he has to turn his timing around to fit everyone else – he was still asleep at 9:45am which was really just after 8:30am his time which is his normal wake-up time.  Thus, there were already a coupla few inches of snow on the road, no snow plow had gone by, and the only road outta here possesses quite the hairpin turn at the bottom of a ravine with a brook at the bottom and a sheer side on the left that only a few years ago was christened with steel guards.  Yes, I have seen a few cars go into the brook and over the side.  One winter, a minivan flipped upside down on the downslope due to the icing on the road before the plow / sand trucks came through. But I digress…

We made it although the F-150, even in 4 wheel drive, slipped and skidded going to the polls.  Turnout was active to the point of being “heavy”; the polling place’s parking lot was full and after dropping off TMEW and the Grandson, I had to park next door at the Library. The lines to register (WITH ID!  YAY!) were rather short but the total pages for the Town and the School District was five full pages. I blew through them having covered them during the BudComm season; TMEW took a bit of time longer.  That was fine – I got to yak with the Selectmen Chair and a number of the ladies stopped by to oogle and ooh-and-ah over the Grandson.

Today, a hearing was held before the New Hampshire Senate Education Committee on an amendment to Senate Bill 357 (SB 357 – irony noted), AN ACT relative to safe school zones and relative to syringe service programs. The purpose of the legislation appears to allow a syringe program if requested by a school district.

Democrat Senator Martha Hennessey (District 05) is the sole sponsor of the amendment which attempts to give local school boards the ability to put gun control laws into place:

Allowing school boards to determine whether or not to prohibit the possession of firearms in A safe school zone.

Essentially, this amendment, if it were to pass, could cause law-abiding citizens to become criminals dependent solely upon decisions made by a local school board which would differ from school district to school district.

Parkland law enforcement and school administrators are desperate to divert attention from their many failures to enforce existing laws that allowed Nikolas Cruz to get a gun and massacre so many people.  Leftist politicians continue wanting schools to be “Gun Free Zones”, despite the fact that almost all public mass killings have been in “Gun Free Zones”.

Radical leftists including the media have used this horrible situation to manipulate desperate parents and students into hysterically demanding ever increasing elimination of our Second Amendment rights and fighting against the only thing that can provide protection, trained, armed protection among the school staff.

How many out there know about the function of our New Hampshire Executive Council?  I am finding very few understand or even know about the EC here in our state.  We need to change that!

The NH Executive Council is a vestige of the Colonia era, offering a “firewall” to ensure an autocracy within the Executive branch is mitigated if not outright thwarted.  Working with the Governor within the Executive branch, the Executive Council is a unique and open form of state government.

We had a Special Meeting of the BudComm tonite to rectify a huge problem that I found this year by reading through the NH RSAs that govern the budgetary process that must be followed by towns that have adopted SB2 and implemented official Budget Committees.  Since the beginning of our town using SB2, the BudComm was only active during the budget season in crafting the Town and the School Board budgets to be presented to the townfolk for explanation, modification, and finally, approval.

But that was all.  Never had the BudComm carried out its other responsibility – continual budget oversight.  So tonite, we passed a resolution, 8 to 1, to start doing it so as to be in compliance with the RSAs.  Simple housekeeping, you might think?  Not so much but here’s the resolution – the authorizing Statutes first and then the actual resolution:

RESOLUTION
[Emphasis added in Bold]

WHEREAS New Hampshire RSA 32:4 provides, in part, that “All municipal officers, administrative officials and department heads, including officers of such self-sustaining departments as water, sewer, and electric departments, shall prepare statements of estimated expenditures and revenues for the ensuing fiscal year, and shall submit such statements to their respective governing bodies, at such times and in such detail as the governing body may require.”

Sen. Warren will not be taking any DNA tests to prove she has even one drop of Cherokee blood in her because,

“That’s the story that my brothers and I all learned from our mom and our dad, from our grandparents,” Warren said. “It’s a part of me and nobody’s going to take that part of me away.”

The last of the quick interviews from the Women’s Defense League of NH was with Jilletta Jarvis who is the Libertarian candidate for NH Government.

In real life, she seems to be a nice lady; I may not share her issues in toto and I do think she needs to work on her “quick stump speech” but like all candidates not wearing boots on their head (Vermin Supreme – heh!), she should be taken serious and not merely dismissed because she’s at an opposite end.
