First, the end of our Journey with DCYF – Part 1

Adoption certificateWho knew, 33 years after the first time, that TMEW and I would be parents again – it is now official!

Please note that the original is much better looking, out for framing, and I’ve “touched it up” word-wise as well (hey, can you tell?). Not only granting and finishing this journey at the FINAL (Woo-hoo!) hearing a couple of weeks ago, “The Judge” did another nice thing (almost as nice and as important as the “so ordered” above), he lifted the gag order that he had placed on this lowly blogger once he knew who I was and how I was connected to GraniteGrok.

That, however, will be another Part because I think how he found out was rather amusing.

Democrat Party Drooling Over Malaysian Law – Fake News Could Get You 6 Months In Jail

Malaysian law equals jail for sharing fake news

From the ‘They’d never do this here‘ files, yes they would.

Malaysia on Monday approved a law against “fake news” that would allow for prison of up to six years for offenders, shrugging off critics who say it was aimed at curbing dissent and free speech ahead of a general election.

And yes, this is always an imposition to silence political dissent the ruling class doesn’t want shared. Always.

Rewind: Trump’s Polling A Month Before the 2016 Election

In October 2016 Mr. Trump’s electoral circumstances were new and unique but the way he was being treated by his own party and the press were not. Dr. Matt Briggs (Ph.D. is statistics) and I have a great conversation about how the press treated Reagan in 1980 and how it may have affected polling before … Read more

Will This Legislation End Statewide Assessment Tyranny?

Broken PencilStudent testing, statewide testing, has been an issue for years. Parents can opt their children out of these tests, and there is ample support for this right. But administrators obsessed with participation rates have no legal disincentives.

“…school districts and administrators are getting more aggressive with parents and children who do not participate in the statewide assessments. Examples of intimidation and harassment have been documented across the Granite State.”

Did Windham’s Dennis Senibaldi violate the state computer crime law?

121355077-internet-crimes

BUMPED: First posted on 3/24/15. Well, it seems that Dennis Senibaldi may have gotten himself into a peck of a place during this past election – and I’m not just talking about the blizzard we got. Our intrepid Kimberly was all over this – and it makes a great reminder of what current School Board member (and Windham Transfer Station guy) did – and how he may have acted during this just past election (birdies, birdies – they all tweet at me!). -Skip

There is new information concerning the shenanigans pulled by Windham School Board member Dennis Senibaldi last week during the school board meeting.

“here’s the million-dollar question: What the hell are they waiting for? Go on, chaps. Bloody well do it. Seriously, try it. Start the process.””

From now on, the Democrats can NEVER say “we’re not going to take your guns”. With the signs at the March for Lesser Rights Our Lives, the rhetoric from 17 and younger teens (free from Constitutional meaning), the media, and of course, former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stephens have all made it clear – nothing less than complete disarmament is acceptable. I’ve seen the calls for the taking, the total confiscation, of “Assault Weapons” – even as there are far more lethal long guns in the hands of millions than the AR-15s that give the Socialist Progressives (and the unknown “can’t tell them much” child-students) the DTs and vapor (and they still believe that AR stands for “Assault Rifle”). I’ve also seen groups advocating that ALL semi-automatic firearms, long guns AND handguns, be turned in and banned.

Now comes this from about as high in the Democrat Party as one can get and makes it clear what the Democrat Party truly stands for:

NH Senate Passes North Country Jobs Bailout On Ratepayer’s Backs

NH SenateThe New Hampshire State Senate passed two bills that redistribute dollars by forcing energy companies to buy more expensive electricity from North Country “green” energy generators.

“…the measures are needed, say backers of both bills, to preserve a total of 900 jobs.

Many of those jobs are “in areas of the state where people can’t easily be retrained, where they worked in the woods all their lives with chainsaws and logging,” Sen. Jeb Bradley, R-Wolfeboro.

Fake News Award Winner Debunks NH Vote Fraud – Or Maybe Not

If you could just stop letting out of staters vote from your house that'd be greatOne of Ed Mosca’s latest examines New Hampshire Public Radios’s effort to gloss over the fact that New Hampshire State Law discriminates against New Hampshire residents. In his rebuttal to a piece by Casey McDermott, Ed notes that,

“..what actually comes to mind are thousands of out-of-State college students who choose to remain residents of their home States getting special rights no other voters in New Hampshire get: the right to choose between voting in their home States or in New Hampshire.

Your Morning Cup of Cancer – Court Says Coffee in California Must Carry Warning Label, Starbucks Should Declare “Sanctuary!”

Coffee LaptopCoffee is under attack.

On Wednesday, a Los Angeles judge ruled in favor of a nonprofit that sued 90 coffee companies over claims that they had failed to comply with a state law that requires businesses to warn consumers about chemicals in their products that could cause cancer, Reuters reported.

The lawsuit, filed in 2010 by the Council for Education and Research on Toxics, pointed to a chemical called acrylamide that exists in brewed coffee.

And while coffee is today’s target, tomorrow’s could be one of these foods.

Even the Republicans are LYING about the Paid Family Medical Leave (HB628)

HB628 killing the NH AdvantageIn addition to checking the verbiage of a new bill, always check the “Fiscal Note” part of the analysis – how much is this going to cost tax payers. I long ago posted what the Medicaid Expansion was eventually going to cost us as Obamacare is wound down. And now, the NH GOP elected officials in the House and Senate are basically legislating a close form of Obamacare’s Individual Mandate for this Paid Family Leave Act – you WILL be mandated to participate and your wages will be docked if you don’t know how to opt-out (and the bureaucratic nonsense that will be involved) – HB628 is going to do the same thing. Three things:

  1. It is being presented as something that is NEEDED to attract younger workers and families
  2. It is completely being marketed as self-paying
  3. It is being LIED about in that the State of NH is saying that there are no Free Market alternatives or offerings

My rebuttal:

Where’s the Common Sense in ‘Common Sense’ Gun Laws?

Yield to Common Sense SignLarry Elder, writing at Townhall.com asks a great question. “Where’s the Common Sense in ‘Common Sense’ Gun Laws?” Without getting into how or why people who can’t figure out which bathroom to use (or their enablers) can make a claim to sense of any kind (let alone Common Sense), let’s assume the best (for the moment) and see what Larry has to say.

The “common-sense” gun control activists rarely ask, “What about the beneficial effect of gun ownership?”
