Avard commends Senate passage of constitutional amendment restoring taxpayer standing
Concord- NH — Senator Kevin Avard (R-Nashua) issued a statement following passage of CACR 15 Wednesday which would give taxpayers standing to bring actions against the government.
HOUSTON, Texas – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued a statement following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s revelations about Iran’s nuclear program:
“Today’s stunning revelations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu powerfully demonstrate why the Obama Iran nuclear deal is not just unfixable, but truly catastrophic. The Prime Minister’s presentation was remarkable—unprecedented—and worth watching in full. Through extraordinary intelligence operations, Israeli agents captured over 100,000 secret documents and files from Iran. These Iranian documents prove that (1) for two decades, Iran has conducted a clandestine nuclear weapons program; (2) Iran lied repeatedly, and brazenly, denying that secret program; (3) the Obama nuclear deal was predicated on that edifice of lies; and (4) Iran is today in violation of that deal.

Once again we see the Left on display complaining that life won’t manifest itself into their whine of “equal outcomes.” The piece by Katharine Gregg (after the jump) complains about what most Progressives do – gee, some people have a head start and familial leg up on the rest of us; she labels that “opportunity hoarding.” Gosh, hasn’t that happened in ALL economies and political systems?
After all, they all start “here” and end up “there” (if not on a chromosomal basis, at least in their own minds), wouldn’t both posters be right? Not according to the Left; they have no sense of gaity or humor. They’re just constantly angry and looking to take offense over anything. (H/T: Powerline)
Again, the Left has no ability to let people have a bit of fun; in this case, another manifestation of Cultural Marxism (sub-type “Cultural Appropriation”) has taken over the place where most of us would think would be a melting pot of ideas and cultures.
Oh, sorry, “melting post” is now a micro-aggression.
The Libertarians recently had the pleasure of sharing “protesting space” with Teacher’s Union organizers at the New Hampshire State House. The Big Money Union shindig was a shill for the Democrat-Socialist gun-grabbing narrative. The 420 folks were there to smoke weed and punk the Union hacks whose solution to just about everything is more government control over law-abiding citizens. Which is really weird in this context. Their motivation for applying more of that control is Parkland which only happened because of the epic failure of blessed government at every level.
You’d like to think that “teachers” have more capacity to learn but to the assembled, it seems that the progressive carapace prevents the penetration of any evidence that contradicts the agenda.
Democrats don’t know what they don’t know and they only have themselves to blame.
Why are so many Democrats shocked when a Republican is elected president? Because, as they themselves say, they “don’t know anyone” who voted for the Republican. The primary reason for this is the people in their life who voted for Donald Trump — professional colleagues, and even friends and relatives — are afraid to tell them.
Sadly, this treatment works in a much broader sense to advance liberal narratives and often promote progressive policies, especially at the local level “where get out the vote” means find ways to keep your opposition at home, so they win by default.

David Stevenson, writing at NH Journal, shares a recent report by The Analysis Group which
“…just released their review of the effects of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), and they give it an A+.”
If you’re not the guessing sort, there are a lot of issues with the report, which is not surprising because (as Stevenson points out) the Analysis Group is a paid consultant of RGGI.
The Univerity of New Hampshire has added a Social Media Policy to its Student’s Rights, Rules, and Responsibility code of conduct. It’s a Big Brother chill-blanket on free speech that allows anyone to report anyone else whenever they think their feelings have been hurt or the feelings of others might be hurt.
What could go wrong?
Jennifer Horn started out as a Tea Party Conservative. Defend the Constitution. Fight the Establishment Ruling Class. No Government Health Care, blah blah blah. That very quickly went by the wayside. Way (way way way way) by the wayside. She’s still faithful to Times Roman 12pt, though. Feel free to take that wherever you like.
I don’t spend much time talking about my life in these spaces. But talking about a heart-attack can save lives. Everyone I speak with about this agrees because far too many people, men mostly, ignore the symptom or behaviors that lead to having one and despite all the skill and technology of modern medicine, a stopped heart can’t always be restarted.
Mine didn’t stop it just yelled at me. A lot. And I listened.
In 2009 president Obama framed -gun violence in America as unique. That’s a liberal talking point to advance a gun-grabbing agenda meant to give the federal government a force-majority over its people. But taken out of that context it is true. Gun violence accounts for only a fraction of all violence in the United States. And when compared to the rest of the world is unique in that there’s a lot less of it on American soil.
We’ve heard this before but not in a long time.
Keeping diplomatic developments coming at a head-snapping pace, the South Korean government said on Sunday that North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, had told President Moon Jae-in that he would abandon his nuclear weapons if the United States agreed to formally end the Korean War and promise not to invade his country.
What’s different?
Yesterday, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted on the CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 22 (CACR 22), RELATING TO: rights for crime victims, also known as “Marsy’s Law.” In an overwhelming bipartisan defeat, the house voted 284 – 51 against Marsy’s Law and changing the New Hampshire Constitution. They also voted to “indefinitely postpone” this amendment being brought up again.
On the outset, Marsy’s Law seems like a no brainer – give victims constitutional rights. How could anyone possibly oppose something that helps victims? Many legislators signed on in support based on what they were told by the paid lobbyists for the constitutional amendment. As with anything “too good to be true,” the devil was in the details and that’s where Marsy’s Law fails, in every aspect.

A Hillary blast from the past (from my evergreen post “Progressives and The Proper Role of Government – and your subservience to it“:
“Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”
And the Left looks at that and their heads nod up and down – coerced beliefs. After all, they believe they are morally superior to we Deplorables. With that attitude, the Left still doesn’t get, then, why Evangelicals are supporting Trump even MORE than before the election.
