Easter: What the Resurrection Says To a Nation Unraveling
This Easter, I find myself asking:
What, if anything, does the resurrection of Jesus mean for us followers of Christ today who are watching with disbelief, frustration, and horror as the very fabric of our nation unravels before our very eyes?

Victors Want to Compromise? Fine. Do It The Right Way
I’ve been hearing a lot of noise regarding “working across the aisle” and the like from Tuesday’s victors and others in the new majority, like Ayotte, and it’s got me thinking. 3,000 REFUGEES BEING RELOCATED TO DOVER
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
3,000 REFUGEES BEING RELOCATED TO DOVER
A proposal is being presented to the Dover City Council about the imminent relocation of up to 3,000 refugees from the Congo to the City of Dover NH. This would propose a 10% population growth in 6 years.
The proposal is believed to have a plan to move 100 families (each containing between 3-5 members) each year to Dover from now until the community “surrenders” and requests the flow to stop (similar to Manchester, NH and Lewiston, ME) but the [Federal] Government decides when enough is enough and NOT the local community. The Federal Government would support these families for only 8 months and then its up to the community and state to bear the financial burden from that point.
We encourage you to come and learn the facts from fiction for yourself:
Wednesday August 13th, 2014

Announcing GrokGear!
Yes, GrokGear! We’ve heard from a lot of readers “Where can I buy that hat? Can I get a T-Shirt? How about that rugby shirt”? Well, we listened – and spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to best do this. We’re bloggers – not a haberdashery. We’re purveyors of opinion – not cloth and thread. And when I travel to events, the vehicle is full of electronics – not display racks. But we are honored that folks would want to be identified with GraniteGrok, to agree with what we stand for, and to wear our logo(s).
Speaking of which:
Nashua GOP Annual SteakOut – Col. Allen West!
Every year the Nashua GOP holds this event and it is usually a good time. The ‘Grok is almost always invited to cover the event and this year, we will be excited to be there as the main speaker will be former US Army Colonel and US Congressman, Allen West!
I have noted his story here on the ‘Grok since he appeared on the political scene – he is a compelling and “conservative fire & brimstone” kinda guy that holds no brook with Political Correctness and takes no prisoners (be they Democrat OR Republican) in a red meat defense of Constitutional and traditional values. He’s put his life on the line for his country and put the life of his troops before his career.
Steak and red meat: what a combo!
For more info, go to the Nashua GOP! To order tickets, go here. Questions? Call Di Lothrop at 603-864-9287 or email: comm@nashuagop.org
