Gloria Gaynor had it right way back in 1978. I was a sophomore in high school. Disco was all the rage. Peanut-Farmer turned President Jimmy Carter was wrecking America. And I Will Survive, a song about a bad breakup, rose to number one.

How you may ask, does this have anything to do with COVID19 or your odds of living through the pandemic? Well, the obvious connection is, you will survive, even if you test positive. That’s the point of these updates, but that’s not the point I’m making.
You can let go of the government’s fear machine, its so-called experts, and move on. Live your life without the government hand-holding (or the boot on your neck).
At first, I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking, I could never live without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights thinking, how you did me wrong
And I grew strong and I learned how to get along
And so you’re back from outer space
I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed that stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I’d known for just one second you’d be back to bother me
Go on now, go, walk out the door, just turn around now
‘Cause you’re not welcome anymore
Weren’t you the one, who tried to hurt me with goodbye?
Did you think I’d crumble? Did you think I’d lay down and die?
Don’t lay down, and please don’t die, but that’s your choice, and based on the state’s updated data, there is still very little chance of the latter even should you test positive.
As a reminder, those over 70 always need to be careful during any flu season, and COVID19 has not been kind. You need to decide for yourselves with family, and your doctor or care provider, what is best for you, as does anyone with respiratory issues or other high-risk comorbidities.
You should not have to give up your business, job, liberties, friends, Holidays, or anything else – or wear a mask (unless you want to do that). You should be free to choose based on an honest presentation of the risk.
This update is based on this data from the most recent State of NH COVID19 Case Summary Report.
