First Amendment Religious Protection Is on the Line in This Election.

Increasingly the mouthpieces for the Anarchists, Antifa, BLM, and Islamists who masquerade as Democrats are demonstrating their intolerance, corruption, and penchant for violence. They want to end western civilization. The time has come to declare which side you are on?

The left believes Christians should be free to worship whatever sky-fairies they want. But they must do it on a part-time basis. Further, they must closet their faith out of sight and out of earshot. Leftists currently are willing to allow you to have your faith but are unwilling to allow you to live your faith. This is intolerant, conveys bias, and belies the hatred simmering against any belief not Leftist compliant.

Let me provide you with an example. Last week Chris Cuomo, while interviewing Sen. Mazie Hirono, articulated the Left’s position. Cuomo was expressing the bigotry of his concern this way.

Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s faith appears “… more central to her value system and her behavior and thoughts than it would be for just an ordinary Catholic.”

Is it possible to hold religious beliefs and still have a responsible position?

Cuomo has also previously made the suggestion in an interview with Pete Buttigieg that people’s faith “doesn’t matter.” Cuomo said to Buttigieg:

“It doesn’t matter if you have faith; it matters about your positions. Fine, you’re a Christian. I’m a Christian… This is more than just every Sunday… more than just a moral backstop in [Barrett’s] life. This is a fundamentalist approach to her faith.” Cuomo went on to smear the “devout organization” People of Praise.

Let’s sharpen the point. The policy positions of people of faith necessarily affect their worldview. The founders of America understood this. It is intrinsic to the U.S. Constitution.  What does Cuomo mean?

He means he does not believe in the values and principles of the American founding. Cuomo means he is a Leftist. His motivation is power and control. He means he is intolerant of anyone unwilling to fall in line with his dictums. Which side are you on?

What does it mean to be an “ordinary” person of faith? Fill in whatever denomination you prefer? How is “faith” different from moral “positions”? Do you agree with Cuomo’s insinuation that Christian faith should be no more than a weekly Sunday commitment of an hour or less? First Amendment religious protection is on the line in this election.

Do you agree that faith must be set aside when we return to the “secular world” for the rest of the week? This position misunderstands “faith.” It fails to grasp that there are things that are right and things that are wrong. Truth exists. Denial of truth is always done at one’s own peril.
